- In today's acrylic landscape painting tutorial we paint a misty river scene with light rays shining through the forest's trees. This relaxing painting tutorial is completed for the most part in real time and will cover the step by step process of how to paint mist, light, trees, reflections, moving water, moss on rocks, the outdoors and a calm spring forest landscape.

Have a wonderful Saturday and happy painting!
Thank you~~
Just found your channel! You are so talented and nice, you should consider making a series like Bob Ross on youtube
its always the talented people that dont have enough recognition
Not talent but skill
I just recreated this painting and was very very happy. I learnt so many new techniques from this video. Thank you Ryan!
Such a beautiful piece, Ryan. Thank you. And, thank you for posting these longer videos, showing your process to us. Personally, I love your longer videos. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to support you financially, which, for me, makes these videos so valuable. Once again, thank you, Ryan. You're worth more money. ;-)
I started painting with you about four years ago. I did several of your 10 minute paintings and learned so much doing them. I'm still watching your videos and still learning from you. Thanks for sharing all your talent and instruction
I was working on this painting last night. Thanks to your tutelage I was able to produce something that was humbling for me. Just as I finished I had the urge to run out and order Timbit's whilst dining at a genuine Tim Horton's. That evening road trip lasted a week as I live in the southern United States, however, my painting turned out better than I imagined. Thank you, dear, again!
WHY IN THE NAME OF GOODNESS DO YOU NOT HAVE MORE THAN A MILLION SUBSCRIBERS?!??!?
i've been watching and following many of your paintings and I'm absolutely amazed how awesome you're paintings are and how I've become soo good in painting with your help... God bless you!!!
He deserves 10mil subs
I watched over and over to make myself believe that it's a paint, amazing so real and beautiful
First class tutorial as usual. Where would us newbies be without the generous contributions of Utube artists. Thank you Ryan. Jocelynk
After watching all the trial and error and testing for layering, color testing and color mixing I am convinced that becoming a monthly Patreon member for all those lessons I read about is the way for me to go. I loved this lesson. As a beginner it’s a relief to NOT see instant perfection and instead watch how time and patience and “messy” pays off in the end.
This is an awesome way to show the process behind the complex process of realistic painting. Especially for someone who never went to a fine arts painting class.
I have to say, you are a wonderful teacher. Your explanations and talking about what you are doing while you demonstrate have helped me as I learn more than any other person I've watched. I'm just learning to paint in the last 6 weeks or so after being a lifelong arts and crafts person, always wanting to paint. My kids are all grown now so diving in and loving it! Thank you!
Ryan, you hit on all sorts of amazing subject on this video: highlights and shadows, diversity, mist, and rocks. I also enjoyed the ever adorable Timbit. Thank you!
A very informative painting session. I watched to learn about the rocks and how to make them look so realistic. Timbits was very cute. I love the break to see the animals when a painter shows theirs to us as we watch these videos.
Oh boy I think you have just became my favorite Artist/Teacher. I absolutely love this
You are so right about us newbies tend to do strokes on branches, tap and drag really makes a huge difference :) 💜🤍💜
It still amazes me that such small details can bring a whole painting to life, it´s so magical to watch!
An absolute stunning painting, timbit piece :)
Thank you for sharing, and thank you all wonderful patrions for making this happened 💜🤍💜
You are such a wonderful teacher. I admire your patience to talk over the footage. And more importantly, what you have got to say is brilliant. It has helped me immensely in addition to the actual visual aid.
WOW ... IT'S WONDERFUL , BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING 😭💓
Timbit is adorable! Great painting tutorial, as always!
Great detail! My sap green looks much darker. This looks like Oxide green. Of the very best teachers on all of YT
,
Thank you so much for this fantastic tutorial. I learned so much from it and I’m SO happy with how my attempt turned out. It’s only the third painting I’ve ever done, I’m not trained in any way (I’m in medicine, but I’ve always needed a creative outlet to keeps me sane!) so your tutorials and the techniques you teach, as well as the endearing and captivating way in which you teach them, are a godsend. Again, thank you!! I can’t wait to follow more of your tutorials!
TIMBIT’s adorable cameo made me smile too!

There is little foliage that grows under Pine Trees. Due to the weak sunlight and a carpet of pine needles.

I'm 47 this week and dipped my toe in acrylic today for the 1st time. I thought I made a decent effort, then i seen this vid and thought it was a photograph.
Insane skills. Very impressed. Well done. :D
Oh no. Soo sorry. Watching it with the sound off as it's late. Still very imperssive but i see you're using the photo as a colour picker. That actually IS a photo. :D My Bad.

Sadly, I had to stop all my Patreon subscriptions (I guess that's what I'll call them haha) but if anyone can afford to join, I highly recommend it! He has amazing tools on there and I learned so much, on top of the things I learned just watching these RUclips videos. So if you are really interested in painting and can afford it at this time, I really do recommend it 🙂 I also want to add, I will definitely be restarting it the second our income goes back to normal!
Hermoso paisaje se puede traducir al español gracias
Just a thought... Can I buy this or any one of your canvas paintings?? Coz I'm in love with this and many others...
Hi I am confused about choosing a paint and brush brand, maybe there are recommendations :)
