As a native New Englander, there is no more beautiful time of the year than when Mother Nature puts on her most glorious adornments than in the fall season. There is nothing better than enjoying a brisk walk through the woods and enjoying the aroma of the falling jewel toned leaves. Your artwork has captured the moment in exquisite detail. I can smell the forest!! Thank you for sharing!
Of course this painting is brisk, and of course I saw it through to the end! I'll be watching it again at least twice to try to absorb what you did. Thank you for your detailed descriptions!
I'm new here but love watching a black canvas turns into an outstanding piece of art, it looks life I could walk right into the painting and go for a brisk walk through the woods, maybe even stop for a little while to paint the scenery alla-prima then head back home for a hot chocolate and warm up
Thankyou for sharing and showing exactly how to use your brushes in close up. A lot artists do not. Also showing the paint color mixtures. I love how you demonstrate and explain, in detail. So ThaTT'z how to make alll those Beautiful fallen leaves on the ground!! You're the best! Thankyou!!
A Brisk and straightward video! Plenty to rewind and watch again! What a stunning painting, and what a superb tutor. Thank you so much for making this video (and all of your others) available to us on RUclips..I really appreciate this. Best wishes..David in the UK.
Fall has always been my favorite season. I even have a cat I named Autumn. She has all of these same colors. I grew up in southern Michigan, where we had four distinct seasons. I loved fall not just for the colors but, it wasn’t too hot, yet just cool enough to leave the bedroom window open at night and snuggle under a quilt. I have actually walked in woods that looked a lot like this painting. Happy Holidays to all as Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner. Also, God bless. 🦃🎄 🙏🏻
It is a brisk day in Minnesota today as well. Thank you for posting this. I enjoy watching you paint and watching everything come to life. You explain things really well. You are appreciated.
I like to take a brisk walk around the block too. But now it’s in the 20-30’s and a bit chilly for my old self. I love the lesson. I’m new to painting and I needed to see the layering of colors. Perfect lesson. I really like the moss on the rock too. Great painting. Thank you.
You are so great and helpful with narrating while you paint, describing the brushes, paint colors, and strokes. Thank you Ryan. You have been such an influence in my learning to paint with no formal art training.
Thank you Ryan for this tutorial. I made the painting following your steps. I wasn’t sure if I was able to do it. It looked soo messy and I stop painting it for weeks. Today I decided to finished. Im glad I did because it turned out into something very beautiful I didn’t expect I could make. Thank you you’re very talented! ❤
Proud of you for returning to it and congratulations on creating something you love! A lot of acrylic pieces go through those awkward stages and that's just part of the process. It's not a negative reflection on you at all :) So, keep painting, you'll make amazing things
The brisk air comes straight off the canvas. I watched all the way. For the first time I felt I could perhaps do this. Thank you for your amazing teaching and sharing.
I love the details, the graded colors and shadows. There isn't anything I don't love be about your gift and your instructions. I want to try to do this painting tomorrow. It makes me want to paint again. Brush or beautiful, it is wonderful. God Bless you.
That's a really interesting use of the soft fan brush. I normally get annoyed with soft fans because of the way the bristles spread like that. Never occurred to me to use that to my advantage and do leaves. It seems to work very well for that. Thank you
Thank you for sharing your gift in painting, you are not just a great artist but also a great teacher. Your detailed instructions are very helpful, I can't wait to paint.
I am a Patron. I enjoy the your paintings, and you've given me a lot of inspiration. It's starting to get brisk in the NC area of the US. You gave me a hint of how to make something "reflect from under the water" (I don't know how to explain it, but I have an idea now). Thanks
Couldn’t stop watching your talent as a painter and teacher. First time viewer and enjoyed your brisk strokes of color and movement. Thank you for your presentation!
Hola me gusta la manera como muestras las combinaciones y pinceles pues no entiendo tu idioma pero al mostrar los pasos me agrado mucho pues empiezo a pintar tengo 63 años felicidades
Love the way you instruct! You are very detailed in explaining color, brush technique, etc. Thank you for this reminder of my favorite time of year (and place), a lovely brisk day in the Fall!
Absolutely stunning!! The depth of this painting is amazing! Thank you for this amazing tutorial, as a beginner, beginner, it's incredibly helpful. I'm learning so much for your tutorials. Thank you for sharing your talent and knowledge!! Continued success love!!
It's currently quite BRISK here in Ohio...but I am going to attempt this painting soon. First time watching you and I am hoping I can learn some stuff. Thank you for all the information you freely share!!!
Ryan you are an outstanding artist as well as a teacher. You make it effortless! Thank you for your time and expertise in showing the color blending and brush strokes. 👌😘💖
What a brisk autumn day! Thank you so much for this tutorial, I've been planning to try painting a fall forest for ages, I hope now my dream may finally come true 🙂🙂🙂
I really enjoyed your tutorial and I appreciate your explanations. You don’t mention if you are allowing the paint to dry or partially dry between applications of color. I will be attempting this VERY soon, thank you very much, for sharing your expertise.
Such a beautiful painting, in a setting like this, I wouldn´t be having a brisk walk, I would be slow and enjoying, admiring the beauty nature shares with us, she can be harsh and cold, warm and lush, but whatever her mood is, she sure is a beauty :) 💜 Beautiful work Sir :) 💜
You so awesome I am watching your video because I am an artist myself. And I feel like I need to refresh my perspective because when I'm trying to paint out my head. But brisk yo your awesome and am really trying to be more dedicated.
Wow this content is so much different from your other channel. It is really interesting seeing you do something else then what you are known for in the community.
Very very educational. I'm a novice acrylic painter and these tutorials really have helped me improve on my paintings. I do however struggle with my paints drying too quickly. I heard you say you keep your brush wet with water, but I don't want to dilute my paint too much and wonder what paint brand you use that keeps your paints from drying on your tray. I also want to add that the BRISK painting was excellent. ;)
I'm French so I don't quite understand what you're saying. But thanks to Cindy Barillet I just got to know your channel and watched a video: they are awesome !!! Well done !!!! 😁 👍
I love a brisk fall day. In the summer, a painting will suffice.

Wow, I can practically feel the cool brisk air swirling leaves around me.
The stillness of the forest. The tinkle of the brook. The crunching of the leaves. The cool brisk air brings a calmness to my life.
Brisk indeed!
