    I thoroughly enjoyed this. I've always wanted to paint with acrylic paints. I have done a few paintings but struggled with realism. Your detailed teaching while watching you has given me some confidence that I can do this.

    I’m only just starting out with acrylic being mainly an amateur graphite artist that’s occasionally dabbled with watercolour. I’m so glad to have found your channel as it’s the realism achievable with acrylic that attracts me. Thoroughly enjoyed this Summer Days painting. Thank you Ryan.

    Hi Ryan, I watch from Germany. You taught me a lot, thanks therefore! I did this painting in oil, and friends say it looks almost like a photo. Well I'm an bit proud. Because I used to live in Canada for 5 and a half years, I understand english pretty good, but I wonder, that there are just an few german "teachers" on YT. Ok, we germans are quiet funny, I know... I enjoy your videos, thanks a lot!

    I really like your technique. I learned a lot following your lesson. I paint landscapes and wild life. It is always good to see other techniques and adapt to your own. You are also a very good teacher with lots of explanations. I sure will follow you

    I love this one.
    You can even imagine sitting in a canoe on a warm summer day and enjoying a quiet ride on the lake while you hear birdsong from within the trees.

    Summer Days! Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial. I listened to every word you said and didn't skip any part. I enjoyed every moment watching you how beautifully you create those drawings. Just amazing!
    Can you also please show us how you varnish your acrylic drawings? As sadly, once I ruined my painting because I used the wrong ratio while varnishing.

    This proves there are no real shortcuts. It takes time to achieve this level of realism. This painting reminds me of the summer days of my youth. It's very exciting to watch this painting unveil. Great teaching. Thank you!

    Perfect name for this painting summer days indeed! I feel transported to my childhood living on a pond. Watching ripples and different colors on different days, sunny, cloudy but the depth of it all was always fascinating to me.

    I really like that you work in blocks and put in details before moving on to the next section of the painting. Many cover the whole canvas and I don’t understand the point of it because acrylics don’t blend after they’ve dried. I prefer your tutorials because they let me work in my natural style

    I like the smell of oils.
    Excellent job with acrylics here. They seem chalky and dry so quick, its a talent to paint on canvas with acrylic to me.

    I'm not a painter but I, for some reason, really like watching videos of great painters, like yourself, becuz I get to learn how and I just enjoy watching these types of videos. Even tho it took me 2 nights but I still watched it all the way, from beginning to the end, so I miss them, "summer days", going camping and fishing/hunting and most of all, enjoying the great outdoors and capturing great views like this one. So, great painting man and also, thanks for sharing your tips on how to make amazing details on paintings! I'll keep that in mind, when I start painting too.     Thoroughly enjoyed this excellent tutorial depicting summer days on the river. This was my first attempt at acrylics and it won't be my last. I was particularly drawn to the realistic and natural colours as quite often I find acrylic colours can look a little too saturated for me. More like this one please Ryan

    Beautiful painting of "possible" warm days. However.....I grew up 2 miles from Lake Powell so my Summer Days since 1981 are always hot and always memorable. I'm in the 13% club and happy to be there. I watch eagerly as every leaf is meticulously placed. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, creativity and time!

    This is absolutely gorgeous. I can picture a red canoe with 2 people coming from the right up the middle on the water on beautiful summer days. I enjoyed watching this very much. Loving realism myself, I am going to try your tips and techniques to hopefully produce something like this in he future.
