    Tengo una pregunta sobre algo que no hice nunca y no he visto ningún tutorial. Quisiera decorar unas velas gruesas de cera con puntillismo. ¿Qué pinturas debo usar? ¿Hay que preparar la superficie de alguna forma? Una vez terminado el trabajo ¿Se protege o se barniza con algún producto? Pido disculpas por esta intrusión en un video que trata de otro asunto. Disculpa por las molestias,. Agradecidísima por tener acceso a tu maestría.

    • @SueSloan
      @SueSloan  3 года назад

      El primer paso es aplicar una pequeña cantidad de alcohol isopropílico en un paño que no suelte pelusa. Luego, debe limpiar los lados de la vela lo mejor que pueda con alcohol isopropílico para eliminar los aceites que se han quedado atrapados en la superficie. También deberá hacer esto para eliminar un poco el brillo de la superficie.
      Este proceso es necesario y facilitará que la pintura se adhiera a la cera. Luego, debes mezclar un poco de medio para pintar velas y algunas pinturas acrílicas.
      Luego, asegúrese de que la parte exterior de la vela no esté cerca de donde estará la llama.
      Eso es todo al respecto. Aquí hay un enlace a un tipo de medio del que estoy hablando: www.amazon.com/DecoArt-DS39-3-Americana-Adhesion-Mediums/dp/B000YQI0ZM

    Great design and colors. Because the ornament is base coated with the blue, do you seal it?

    • @SueSloan
      @SueSloan  3 года назад +1

      I always use Krylons matte finish spray, two coats.

    Hi Sue. I notice that you use several different types of sealers. Which do you prefer for your ornaments to make them last for years to come? :)

    • @SueSloan
      @SueSloan  3 года назад

      Hi Michelle, I always use Krylon matte finish spray. (Two coats). I have some I made three years ago and they are still like new. I do tell people to not put them where there is extreme heat or cold.
