"It's a building, it's a structure, it's substantial" spoken like a proud dad. "only physically". lol; "it's crooked, because it is a log". I put Don's picture on a milk box given that he is missing; nice shirt, I am from Iowa. Always look forward to your videos Kevin. Your wit and imagination are amazing. Your daughter will always have some fun seeing what you build.

It is a very good book for beginners as well as for those that are already into ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt A very good basic ebook to keep as a reference too. I like it and the way the subject matter is presented. It has humor and that helps with the reading.

Hidee ho neighbor to the north! Another great video of course. I love your daughter, she is so precious! I'm sure she gets into her fair share of trouble as all children do. Your cabin is looking lovely and if I were to put my two cents in it would be for the third window. If I remember correctly the side that will not have the lean to is the west side. Therefore, this side will get those nasty winds from the north. If you put it on the side with the evaporator you could use it as a passthrough. I worried about the humidity until I remembered the cover for the lean to will be higher than the roof and so the moisture will mostly rise to that level and rain down the original roof structure. I suggest a gutter to catch this and since it's condensed steam it is distilled water. If you can keep that roof area clean or encapsulate it and collect it you now have drinking water. 😁
Keep up the good work, I hope Don is well, and hug your family; until next week ✌💜🐖💨

The interlocking bricks should be in the build somewhere. You will need a fireproof base for the stove. Maybe the bricks would help most as a floor for the evaporator and surrounding work area. I like the idea of adding a productive water well. Maybe the fish tank will need topping up once in a while.

Entertaining video for a Saturday lunchtime break. Neat to learn, even at 54, some carpentry basics. My thought was to cut pieces to frame in the door, pc by pc, but then you built a squared up frame and inserted it into the doorway. Aha moment. Wish I could have watched this 10 years ago before I built my second shed. (it's not that bad)...but now I wanna BUILD more STUFF. Thanks for sharing your adventures once again. 5 Egg-McMuffins rating.

Never been able to see a rainbow completely from one side to the other like that all at once. So cool. Plus the reflection of another one behind it. So cool. Like the chickens but thought you had to have a rooster in order for them to lay eggs. A little more space for that many to get around in during the day would be nice for them. Just a thought. Have you ever tried giving them grubs. They love them. Enjoying watching to see how the cabin comes out. You could do like another subscriber suggested and building the bed where you can put it up during the day with a table to open out of when you put it up and save on space and maybe maje the bed just a little bigger than a twin but not a full size. Maybe in between the two since probably will be a man sleeping on it will have some room to move around. That's as long as there's plenty of clearance from the stove. Then there's plenty of room for a kitchenette on the other side. I also have been thinking the same, you need a well out there. That would be great.

  • @justmefolks1863

If you are bear proofing make the door open to the outside, the the frame it closes against will give even a stronger resistance for them getting in.

I agree with the LOFT BED! Also, string some small clear Christmas lights up there, and a short railing so your daughter won’t fall off. You could have a Murphy bed with a collapsible table on the back OR you could build a long storage bench that holds a foldout bed. Maybe the table could fold up into a headboard!! 😁

My vote is not another window in the little cabin. You need the wall space. The door has a window across from the window that is installed. Perfect. Is the lean-to going to be on the south side? Hard to tell how this cabin is set. If one of the long sides or the other is the south, I recommend the south (or east) side. 'I have my reasons.' (LOL, wanted to sound like you Kevin)
