@hummarstraful i figured it out. Some of the jumpers (jfp1, for example) came mislabeled on ~5-15% of the boards going out. Normally, that isn't a problem because everything has its own place and only fits in its own place. But the power button, reset, and power light jumper is a generic one that's all over the board. I stuck a paperclip between the 16th and 17th pin on the power supply to determine that it was still good. I found a Reddit post talking about the mislabeled motherboard. I just started putting in things where I thought they could go and found one that worked. Took me an additional 4 hours. Saved me 500 bucks

But I love the fact of having a bad ass desktop and a 40 inch curved HD screen to do my editing on. Not some small laptop screen. But, when everything is added up for all the "extra" fun stuff you mentioned plus the protection plans! Ya, you can kiss that $1k budget right out the window. But it's not that far out of reach. That includes a few of the high end gizmos as well. So for a grand total of $1,264.63. Still not bad. I don't need a keyboard nor a mouse or speakers. Got all that. Again, thanks for the info.

Hi Matt. Playback lags drastically when I add noise reduction or fusion effects on Davinci Resolve. I've noticed that it uses about 85% of VRAM while playing back. Will upgrading my GPU overcome this issue?
GPU should help some, but noise reduction is an effect that slows down most computers
@whoismatt Ah ok. I thought it was just my PC.
I'm thinking of going with the RTX 3060. However, someone told me to wait before upgrading since most softwares will come with ai and current hardwares might not be able to handle these future softwares.
Is this recommendation also good for editing 4k Black Magic Raw?
no, not sufficient power of the pc for 200+mb/sec fiveo files
@@denkolomiets2898 I am not referring to the power supply only.
I built this computer 2.5 times and still do not have a working computer. I've built well over 300 computers. Something is not compatible with these parts. I bought exactly what you recommended and no lights, no post. Nothing. Replaced the psu twice, replaced the mobo twice, ram, case, cpu, and gpu, and it's still a fking brick. The motherboard is just stupid with its double cpu power ports, but regardless, the psu will power on my older 5 year old computer. Also, no lights on the mobo??? Wtf. Never should have gone with Intel. Its going to fking cost me another gd month to send this shit all back to Amazon and get something else. Thanks for Nothing, this guide is clickbait for an Amazon affiliate purchase....16 gigs for 4k? Fking what?!
damn! I think I'm just gonna buy a computer and forget building one.
@@HalfInsaneOutdoorGuy OK, cool. Thanks for that update! I think i'm gonna go through with the build And will look for that mislabeled connector. Appreciate it.
I built it and it turned out great.
Is it better to get the non "K" versions of the CPU?
No. Dont make that mistake. Intel k cpus have igpu and will help in video editing, timeline scrolling, export...
@@D.A.M.I.R the F, and Kf models don’t have integrated graphics. Any other model will have an iGPU that can be used for quick sync.
The K just means the chip has an unlocked multiplier for easier overclocking.
You definitely want the K it will edit faster
Thank you
I'm a bit of an idiot so please excuse my questions. I bought a refurbished PC, it doesn't handle 4K. Couldn't I just buy more RAM and update the CPU? That would work right? Then I could put the budget into buying an impressive CPU
so it depends on current pc specs. CPU need a correct motherboard(socket and other cpecs), for MB you need correct RAM, after that more powerfull CPU maybe need better culling, maybe you will have power supply issues with new cpecs. Anyway i mean is not a simple question. You can buy new CPU with your current socket if it have higher models for it and MB will work right, but keep all this possible problems in mind, find a pc builds tutorial to understand it better
@@TheStopLogic I see your point. Thank you very much. I'll keep searching more channels
@@Epilepticchefproductions general pc building tutorial I mean, for understand pc parts comparably and maybe something like “pc upgrade tutorial” I’m sure it be enough to know what you need to do with your current pc and budget. Good luck!
this PC build can handle the sony 10 bit video file without proxy in adobe premier pro.
Can this handle editing 10 bit 4k video?
Waiting for this answer
Idiocracy reference almost the best part of this video!
I dont recommend buying these from amazon. I got those same parts at 680$ from local store(just swapped the intel cpu with a same priced amd cpu).
Yeah, this is a good spec, you could have got a bit more ram in there. The GPU is a toss up between intel and nuvideier ^^
16gb 4800 shouldnt be an option... Take 32 at least, even if that means going with ddr4 which is possible with a different board and will overall deliver am much better experience.
Great❤
i like the beard ❤
cool build idea btw
hi, I built the computer from your 2019 video of a video editing computer for $750 with some of the up grades . and I tried to download windows 11 and microsoft said my computer was unsupported . my question is would I be able to upgrade the cpu on the same motherboard or would I have to upgrade that as well.
Has anyone actually built this? Any issues I should be aware of? What about audio?
Under 1000$ and you are calling this "budget". Bro, not everyone is American.

I wouldn't recommend any PC under $1,500 for editing 4K videos. Once you start to add layers, your PC will struggle and lag. I have a Ryzen 12-core processor with a RTX 3060ti along with a Samsung 850 SSD. My PC costed me $2,600 usd to build and a few times i do struggle with editing 4K with layers. I can't even touch 8K RAW as my pc struggles to play it. And the clip is only 25 seconds long too.
My future build will likely be a AMD Ryzen 24-core, RTX 4090, 128 gb of ram and whatever the lastest SSD is. PC will easily cost me $5,000 usd :(
I have a $700 pc and it works fine for editing
@@timmyhackings5181 okay upload the video and share the link with us? I want to see your $700 usd pc running video editing software smoothly. And what's the specs of your pc as well?
You make me want to build a bigger and better PC and that's not good for my pocket 😂
I want to build a budget friendly video editing pc with i9 processor for $3000. Is there a video for that?
Brondo!!!
This video is brought to you by Brawndo: The Thirst Mutilator.
BRAWNDO!
Good to know. I'am a recent graduate of OMS (OhioMediaSchool) here in Cleveland (as of -9-27) and I have a crap ton of filming gear and no "great" computer to edit on. I am on the fence whether to get a laptop or a desktop. I am not a fan of carrying around a laptop but they are helpful when filming for the 48.
I feel like it’s vary rare now and days to find a motherboard with a built in WiFi chip. I recently bought a RTX 3060 8GB to go with my older set up, and I wanted to see if there where any mobo’s under 70 bucks that had a decent built in with chip but there wasn’t. So I had to stick to my old WiFi card.
But honestly I would recommend a WiFi card anyways since there pretty easy to fix and micro-soldering is kinda at a minimal with them.

Wtf It's balanced for video editing
But you are just a chatterbox who does not understand anything and you think that all computers should focus on the GPU, but if you try video editing, you will understand and say that it is appropriate, but you do not know anything.
