I agree. The price and value for the cross over suv class the Rogue beats everyone. The toyota rav4 inside look so cheap even with the top of the line one and the price is more expansive.
I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra S with over 210,000 miles on it. Never had an issue with the original CVT. I changed the fluid every 60,000 miles as required in the owner’s manual. Nissan is capable to be reliable as Toyota and Honda. You haters should learn how to read a manual and drive a car properly and you won’t have any problems long term.
Thanks for this review. I looked at the Nissan this week and loved it but the reviews are terrible. So many engine issues and people really upset with the company. I'll pass on this one, but it is really nice looking inside and out.
Excellent review!. Very honest, professional and detailed. Nissan Rouge S AWD base model price at $25K is all right to me for a 2nd row. For a 3rd row I would rather go for a used 2019-2020 Honda Pilot Elite at $30K-$38K.
@@GunsAndGrenache Telluride is a fine 3rd row SUV but I'm hearing from a lot of people that dealerships are still marking it up...if so that is a shame :(.
@@DriversOnly It's true that many shady dealerships are doing crazy 2-10K markups, but there are plenty of good ones using this as an opportunity to win customers at MSRP. I ordered mine at MSRP. A couple months wait but it's worth it :)
I love this style of the Rouge compared to the previous generation. I’m a fan of Nissan since I own one and I’m definitely thinking about test driving this SUV to see if I want to purchase it.
I'm interested in this suv. Looks good, especially the interior. But want to wait to see what reliability will be like. Also want to see if a hybrid comes along. The seats are 'inspired' by NASA.
I know this is late, but the "kick to open" liftgate feature works fine. You have to actually kick, not hold your foot there. If you hold your foot there it doesn't work.
@@bnr32jason I have 2018-2021 three of them. Pushing the lever forward into park is very simple for the rest but not 2021 that park is the right of neutral and a button for it to engage, very cumbersome to operate.
It does seem like that Nissan is making itself great again. They are finally giving consumers what they want. Now that Carlos Ghosen has shipped himself away in a suitcase they can finally stop the cost-cutting. I will need to wait for a couple of years to see if they improved mechanically.
Yes! And I'm excited to see the rest of the lineup changes coming next year. So many new models coming and if they are all like the Rogue's redesign then I'm sure they will be amazing.
I don't recall you saying if it has adaptive cruise control. I didn't see the controls on the steering wheel. To me that's more important than ventilated seats being missing.
I would wait at least 2 years before purchasing one. By then they can fix any bugs and recalls and most importantly see how reliable it is. Still don't trust that lousy cvt transmission !!!
I've noticed that you moved the wheel slightly right and left while driving straight ahead. Other reviewers complain about too light steering. Is this a case ?
Look s great But the problem I have same 181 horsepower rating why ? Should of bumped the horsepower over the rav 4 and Nissan would knocked it of the park .
They have to pick and choose what they can offer within the same price range. The small bump in power and lighter weight can definitely be felt in this new Rogue.
You don't be stingy on the compartment space on the inside nissan. The wheels foot sensor at the back and tech features are what you cut back on not basic fundamentals like space compartment. Very stingy and silly.
Until Nissan stops using that noisy jatco CVT, I am not buying another Nissan. The CVT makes it feel cheap when accelerating. And that is the only weakness of it. Gosh.... its not a shame to admit that the Jatco CVT a bad idea. Leave the noise for sports cars and motorcycle lovers.
pretty isn't everything.... I wonder if Nissan USA is going to let customers hang with problems with brand new cars like they did with the previous version of the rogue... Yep I have problems at mile number 1 that are still not solved 2 years later. The car dealers are completely at a loss of words for Nissans lack of response on nav head issues, batteries that go dead every three four months. But what's most disappointing is that Nissan has decided to ignore issues with the car and their long-term customers. As a business owner, I know it's a thousand times harder to get a new customer than it is to keep it existing one so I'm surprised that The alienated existing customers while throwing the dealerships under the bus. With that said, I don't expect any product to be perfect. However, how Nissan has dealt with the issue shows a character and integrity issue that didn't used to exist 5-10 years ago. Considering Nissan USA's pure lackluster response to known issues that they quote unquote said we know about it but we're not going to fix it while leaving customers stranded isn't acceptable and certainly not a risk I would take with buying a first model year. I guess I would take this risk only if the state that I live in has a very good lemon law. Nissan just poses too much risk and it's greedy motive to just sell new vehicles and not make customers happy.
Not my fault if you drive on Low while having nothing to tow, or even go neutral in the autobahn. Take care of the car and the car will take care of you

Nissan is coming back thank goodness, their lineup is great from sedans to the new Rogue.
Of the new Rav4, newish CRV, and this, I think this is the best looking both outside and inside
I tried the RAV4 Hybrid and the Rogue and between the both I prefer the Rogue.

More to come! Thanks for your support.
Aw shit. Sucks for the people who bought the 2018 & 2019 rogue. This is a BIG upgrade! Looks premium af, Cadillac style!
2020 as well
Considering how low the headlights are, I'd probably want to test drive this at night to see how they project.

Nissan should add the dashboard storage shelf just like the one in Pathfinder & Rav4.

Yes.

No, I'm with ya
Very nice, but I want the 2-door that I saw advertised on Social media
@5:48 You have to remember to push the P button for park.
If you do remember you could crash. That is the flaw of this fancy shifter.
Having to remember to put it into Park is a flaw? Doesn't that apply to every car?

No relationships with the dealers. Will be getting a new K5 in about a week to review.

They do.
Nissan CVTs are not perfect - quite the opposite, extremely problematic.
