The only FUN brand JEEP is missing. Look at a $130,000 Maserati Lavante then look at a $22,000 jeep renegade or $32,000 jeep Cherokee limited/Trailhawk. They all share the same material same screen same buttons built on the same assembly line
2.2 MILLION people got a new JEEP or DODGE last year. People like fun cars and now that they’re made by Maserati the last 200,000 miles not to mention I daily drive a 2001 Jeep Wrangler with 164,000 miles that’s had one issue in the last four years. That’s because I don’t beat the jeep up off road like a lot of people do Why are we doing things like boring Hondas that sold 700,000 units a year they’re not even close to jeep sales. At least they’re not comparing those awful Subarus
I bought Toyota rav4 on 2007, this car costs engine oil, even when it's new. I don't know car very well, when brought car back to cast hills Toyota Sydney to do service to tell service people, they pretend nothing happened. It's after 7 years, I know from another car service yard.
I would agree with this statement, very modern. It's missing key components that could help separate it from the competition even more. Ambient lighting is a key missing safety feature Why? it's been proven in many studies to a reduction in accidents.
Most of these reviews never talk about long term reliability, ownership experience, aftersale support, cost of spare parts and resale value. Those things really matter when you buy cars in this segment.
Brah, long term reliability is not a word. Its meaningless. People use that word but don't understand its meaning at all. A car will start to break down after 100k miles. 200k miles is way too much for a car anyways, and the cars made today should be ok for 300k.
Absolutely right! Reviewers nowadays even give “ reliability” tests on 1-2 year old cars..... how stupid is that? Also, the more “features” just means more “costly” repairs down the road! All these Reviewers are just pushing the price of cars up..... making them not affordable to working class people......if people want “features” in a car ........freaking buy a Lexus/BMW, etc......Leave the lower-end cars alone and affordable!
CX5 for me... it’s 95% Japan made, it’s the closest to driving with luxury feel, it’s the fastest , the most beautiful and its not a CVT and definitely no longer controlled by Ford.
Cx5 with that J Vin is a winner for me. Reliable and feels luxurious and sportier, the kodo design wins over the other ones. A non CVT will be overall better than its less Reliable competitors
@@richrollin4867 A good CVT's lifespan is about 100k miles, if it's driven like Grandma drives it. They aren't as durable as a traditional automatic transmission. The Mazda's 6-speed automatic is very reliable.
I bought a 2021 Nissan Rogue SV new in 2021. I absolutely love everything about it. It has plenty of power and it’s very comfortable. I love the interior and exterior styling. I have owned it for two and a half years and I have had no problems with it.
I chose CX5 over the other brands. Engine power and driving experience is the most important thing for me, also it has an elegant interior and exterior look and the cargo space is pretty enough.
We are driving our 3rd CX-5. Yes a 2014, 2017, and now a 2021. So fun to drive! 5 Star Safety Rating.. Averages 28.5 mpg....Looks Great, And never any problems !.... If you are 80+ years old... get the CR-V. But for this driver....the Sporty CX-5 is for me !! (and we are now 67 years old)
I spent one week with the CX5 Grand Touring because my MX5 NC was being worked on so the dealership loaned it to me. I'm so glad they did because now I'm buying one, the Carbon trim level.
I have 2014 nissan rouge love it I fill it up once a week runs great I love nissan and only bought nissan my favorite was my maxima no problems just lost it got rear ended in accident that totaled it but my whole family walked a way no one hurt thank god😇
Why do people care about cargo room.. I rarely carry cargo in my car unless im moving or something I would never notice the less cargo. If I was actually carrying loads of stuff weekly then I might look into a bigger car or pickup.
I feel like the Rogue wasn't really given credit for all the features it packs in as well as essentially matching the CR-V for space and the CX-5 for quality and style in the interior. No mention of its fully digital gauges, heads up display, and it has a 3rd rear climate zone, which no other offers here. But somehow the CR-V comes out on top while feeling older and lagging in tech? I don't think drivability/performance should be ranked so highly here... the focus should definitely be more on ride quality in this segment. Sure the Mazda has a nice interior and drives sporty, but obviously cargo space and practicality are prime in this class, hence its much lower sales. I think the Rogue offers a balance of everything, yet, as noted overachieves in the interior and feature content... but somehow it's 3rd place?
Edmunds is notorious for its unabashed bias toward Honda and against Nissan. Their rankings and reasonings never make sense. I remember an old comparison of the Rogue vs CR-V where they praised the trunk of the CRV as "cavernous," but the Rogue's as "merely average" - when there was less than a cubic foot of a difference, and when the Rogue had the super convenient divide-n-hide shelving system and the CRV had nothing but a trunk. 😂 It's things like that and like this unexplainable comparison result, as many others, that clearly show their bias. Pay to play, maybe? It's known that Honda has a huge budget set aside for paying automotive authorities off and for keeping recalls and problems quiet.
@@Naldynator Having any kind of bias towards a Nissan shows lack of judgement and common sense. There's a reason why they're bleeding money. You can't put lipstick on a pig.
@@iamthedutchbro It could be they're bleeding money because they finally invested more into their R&D process and we've just begun to see the product that will result from it. It blows my mind that people seem to think things, people and companies can't change. But by your and seemingly the majority of everyones logic, because it has a Nissan badge, it just simply can't be a solid product. Smh.
Realistically, I have never needed to use the touch screen in my Mazda CX-5. The scroll wheel is pretty much loosely based off of BMW’s iDrive format, meaning you can scroll and get around the menus quickly without touching the screen. Changing the radio or going to navigation/Bluetooth is a matter of a couple tactile clicks. Nobody is trying to type a destination with one hand while driving 80mph on the freeway anyways. You’ll be using CarPlay or have set a destination prior to driving.
anybody that rips on the scroll wheel hasn't used one. Had a CX-5 for a week earlier this year. Now I'm irritated with having to reach over to a touch screen
I have the same exact Rav4 tested in this video and I must say, I highly disagree! The car is so much fun to drive and maybe the steering wheel felt stiff was because she had lane tracing and steer assist on, which really does make the steering wheel feel heavy when turned on! I only use lane tracing and steer assist on highways, and never on local roads. MPGs are amazing (averaging about 38MPG combined)!!! Overall, I had the choice of whether I should get the CRV or Rav4, and my decision was the best decision I've ever made!! This video makes it seem like the Rav4 isn't all that, which is totally unfair!
Not tried rav4 yet but I automatically agree. But 38 mpg?? Is it a hybrid? Cr V uninteresting. I test drove a crv couple years ago when I was considering it over returning to Outback. It was like a toy car, tiny engine, tiny space, couldn’t see out the back, tiny rear window. Just looks, visibility, etc. etc.
Agree XSE RAV4 hybrid best model. Drive's great, nice stiff chassis with TNGA platform. Got 235/55R19 wheels and tires on mine and handles even better while keeping smooth ride over rough pavement and potholes 😊
I didn't even test drove the other car as I didn't like how they look especially the bloated look of the CRV. Just went straight for a RAV4 Hybrid AWD.
We are getting 33 mpg with our 2019 Nissan Rogue! We love this car and we get between 33-36 mpg driving 80 miles a day! I think this guy is nuts when he is talking about the steering! I have driven many vehicles including trucks and have at least 2 million miles on cars and trucks and I cannot figure out his problem with the steering.
@@reyperez3424 read the comment again and then slap your own face :). 80miles a day not 80mph i also had a rogue for a few days and avg was 32mpg doing a bunch of different driving. Just drive it easy and the mpg will be good.
yes i feel like nissan steering is so clean and tight, i love it! ive driven 3 different types of nissans from 3 different decades and they were all perfect.
Really no bad choices in this segment. I ended up with a new Subaru Forester. Not because it's the best, just the best for me. So, try them all and go with what works best for you. Everyones needs, tastes and priorities are different. They are right about the Mazda being the better drivers car, though. The turbo is fun - but expensive.
U.K. comment. Have just bought a CRv hybrid (Sportline) - just love the smooth quiet driving experience particularly at low speeds. Fantastic space front and back not to mention the boot. This is my 2nd CRv and I’m so glad I stayed with Honda & didn’t change.
I researched high and low for a suv within my budget, great reliability, cargo space, and decent gas mileage. I ended up getting 2020 RAV4 and I love it so far! Difference in opinion, but informative video 🤷🏽♀️ loved your comment inside the rav4 “push for normal, but I’m still weird” 😂😂😂
BIG HEARTS go out to this hilarious, practical, realistic, Smart couple! I like how you present your feelings/opinions of cars and how you try to stay balanced in cross-evaluations. However, please consider cutting the background music. It's not loud enough to hear but still sounds vaguely like wind chimes - distracting while not unpleasant. I kept asking myself "Is there music playing somewhere else in the house?" Would love to know the "Price as Tested" when doing comparisons. I'm a fan and ACTUALLY LOOKING for a small SUV for the family. I need one small enough for tooling around town, yet large enough to pack for the beach for a vacation. THANKS!
It might not be the best model to compare but its price sure does lend itself to comparison with the other models since the limited trim level can get as high as $40k, which is kinda ridiculous for the segment
What people never consider about cost of a Toyota is they consistently have lowest cost of ownership. Increases initial price more then offset by lowest u maintenance, plenty of parts (and aftermarket), fuel savings (especially in hybrids fuel economy not even close) and resale value (which crushes competitors except Honda's which are a decent 2nd)
We went with the 2021 CX-5 after extensive research. 1) Nissan has unreliability issues with their version of the CVT transmission, so it was out. 2) CR-V is fine and was a close second, but it was...boring, both to look at and drive. Also found the suspension quite terrible, every bump was felt. So it was out. 3) RAV4 is a great car, but to get any of the nice features you have to go pretty high up the trim level, which prices itself out somewhat. So it was out 4) CX-5 looks the best, drives the best, trusty 6 spd auto transmission, and has features on the "mid" trims that are only available in the high trims of the rest.
@@michaelcobos9968 As far as I'm aware that's still core to SKYACTIV-G. Although you're the first person I've heard complain about it. It's not active when accelerating, so I'm not sure why you would complain about saving fuel at cruising speeds...

yeah, the new Rogue is quite the looker with its boxier dimensions, in a sea of bubble cuvs. Only wish they would consider putting the 9 speed from some of their other vehicles behind its engine instead of that CVT.
@Biological Warfare Sorry man, Toyota and Honda are too complacent; they are not as reliable as they used to be. The premium you pay for these two brands no longer adds much value. The money they ask for some basic options are just plain greed.
We traded our 2019 CRV in due to the impending engine problems that are happening, and honda is trying to ignore.. (strong gas smell that annoyed my wife coming from somewhere).... there are other issues also, it drove fine and was smooth on the highway, but the bumper in the back is very weak right behind the rear wheels and it pulls in and out 4" very flimsy, and the sheet metal is so thin on the body it crumps in and out as you go over it while washing.. it lacks off the line power.. My wife just thought it was lacking in a lot of areas, so we ended up with a 2020 Rav 4 hybrid... The car is MUCH more solid overall and the sheet metal on the body is much firmer, and the rear fenders dont feel like they are going to flap in the wind when you are at highway speeds.. She is very happy with her choice and has said many times the stereo is better and it just feels like a more solid car.. As for the others here, never looked at them.
They didn't even mention the engine oil dilution problems with the crv that everybody wants Honda to recall them. My bet is go the next size bigger for the money
I just don’t understand why the Honda 1.5 Liter turbo oil dilution problem isn’t more in the public consciousness?!?! Completely agree with all of you how big this issue is and it’s not brought up.
CX5 is a real SUV in that list which has a good amount of driving fun. A car reviewer if he considers HONDA CRV as a Small V - understand there is something wrong. The most sluggish bulky elephant is Honda CRV
@@jacob679SD You haven't been paying attention to recent history. CX5 is all around winner and with a real auto transmission so the reliability will be better. I own 2016 CX5 and the only real issue I have had are brakes on all four corners. Those were rusted badly due to NE salt but I did those myself for around $220 for 4 rotors and pads.
I’m guessing NE is New England here and not Nebraska. Don’t have a cx-5, but salt/rust killed mine during the quarantine when my car would sit for long periods of time too. That scraping sound when I would move or brake had me so damm worried, lol

During my own test drive, I thought the RAV handled and accelerated like an odd truck. Not awful, but not something I could confidently rely on like the Corolla I was looking to upgrade from. I knew how to handle my trips on the interstate to L.A. and all the nuance with it. The RAV came nowhere near that level of drive predictability. The CX5 handles closer to a car and the drive always feels lively (even with the base engine). The only thing that feels off is the U-turn radius. My point, thank you for perfectly describing how the RAV feels: like asking a teenager to do a simple chore.
What does it mean though? That it does not turn when you turn the steering wheel? Teenagers ignore you, not sure how can a car ignore you. For acceleration I can understand that different cars would have different throttle response for fuel economy, but not sure what you mean when you say steering is unpredictable.
Didn't the 2021 CX-5 and CX-9 get the updated Mazda Connect infotainment system? The screen is larger and the interface & resolution is drastically improved.

At least that’s my own experience. Whereas, when using the touch screen, one really needs to look the whole time because you need to aim your finger.
There's several studies that have been done that indicate that infotainment systems in newer vehicles are very distracting and causing a growing number of accidents now that they have become more common. One study even found that it was worse then being intoxicated.

Most of the top review sites love the CRV. Maybe it's not the best in any one category, but really is the best all around for this segment. As much as I liked the CX5 styling/driving feel, I got the CRV because practicality is key for this class. No oil dilution or heating issues after 4 yrs.

I purchased a 2020 Mazda CX-5 a few months ago. I test drove all the vehicles in your comparison as well as the Ford Escape (minus the updated Rogue it wasn't out when I was looking). What I found is that I hate CVT transmissions...that squishy feeling when you try to accelerate is just not for me. I choose the Mazda because it had the nicest interior, very nice soft touch materials everywhere. It had a lot of great safety features. It was the most fun to drive (by a mile) and it had the nicest exterior styling (subjective I know). Now that I have owned it for a few months I will agree with you that the storage is lacking. The storage under the armrest is pretty small and outside of that you have an area to put your phone under the climate control area and the door pockets. That's about it. The lack of storage doesn't bother me much, but my wife never knows where to put her purse. Your complaint about the infotainment not being a touch screen while driving I think is unwarranted. That dial by the shifter is super convenient. I didn't think I would like it, but after using it a bit I got used to it and love how I can just reach down without looking away from the road and do whatever it is I have to do.

Totally disagree. I think reviews should be done through an entire model range... with price point segments/ranges to show value in 5k increments. The CX-5 Carbon Turbo, which I just bought after driving the 4 vehicles here in trim levels between 30 to 40k(ish)... as well as the newest Tucson & pricier Mercedes, BMW, Audi, & Volvo equivalents, absolutely crushed the other cars in terms of value for the money, quality materials inside & out, and driving experience. No comparison. At $33,335, I felt like I stole it. ^ My point is, without seeing reviews going through and comparing these different trim lines I would have just seen that the base model of XYZ won a comparison and (wrongly) assumed that was the best package all the way up the line. I would have missed out on the fact that, for not much more at all, a way better value was available with an engine, interior, and features that blow away anything else offered near the price point.
If your steering in the Rav4 feels heavy try turning off the lane assist, then your not fighting the steering wheel. And you didn't show the Toyota also has an adjustable cargo floor. Probably should have gone with the Limited AWD model, like mine. Traded in a Murano Platinum for it, because I liked everything about it better than the other 3.
Your top pick is the CRV, which has a CVT, super small 4 cylinder, turbo charger that questions long term reliability, and a slow touchscreen. The CRV cargo space is the best out of the bunch but I'd rather much go for the Rav4 due to simpler powertrain and Toyota reliability.
@@G_dan The regular Rav4 has an 8 speed transmission. Hybrid version come with an eCVT which is very similar to a CVT. The reviewers are spot on. The missus and I are Nissan-Honda lovers. We loved the performance of the CX-5. But we bought the CRV for it's roominess and comfortable driving + gas thrift. If you're a big guy and need driver room and leg space--definitely go for CRV. It's front seat space is cavernous! I don't know why the Toyota RAV4 is so popular. I took it for a couple of weeks-stint in the north of NZ's North Islands. It was ok. Not as roomy as advertised. But people are buying it like it's going out of fashion. If you want driving satisfaction, get the Mazda CX-5. It's not a sports car but over-taking while changing lanes will have you giggling. Driving, space and gas practicality? It's all CRV.
I feel like the review is a bit inconsistent. They didn’t mentioned zero gravity seat, ride quality, cabin noise. mpg. After sales service, warranty and so on. I felt like from the beginning, they were biased towards CRV.
I got a 2021 CRV LX for my winter beater.... and I love it. Super cheap to fill up, has enough power to merge on highways. Storage is nice. Only thing is that I wish it had AWD. Honestly the Nissan Rogue is the nicest out of all of them. Honda is re-doing their CRV for 2023. And from what i've seen online i'm NOT impressed that they kept the same engine in a completely new vehicle from the ground up. BAD MOVE HONDA...!!! It needed far more HP & Torque. And the current 2022 CRV model looks nearly exactly like it did back in 2017 when it got it's first overhaul. So you really dropped the ball Honda on something that could have been great. Nissan on the other hand is really showing their in the fight too compete with the new 3cyl turbo. And it puts out slightly more power then the CRV. If the engine can stay reliable they'll have a winner on their hands. Because the styling alone is near perfect at least too me. And it's definitely on my short list of new SUV's.
I like the CX-5 the most! The backup cmaera is different because that is a signature trim, with the touring it works and looks much better! Hope you see this! Hondas are almost to classic, Mazda's are kinda cars that some people don't know that much.

We chose the Rav4 because I still feel unsure about the CR-V's questionable "oil-gas dilution" recall that they 'fixed,' even though buyers report the issue after they took theirs in. (This includes 2022) The Mazda seems like a solid choice. They fixed their cylinder deactivation recall that was a problem in like 2019. I've recommended it to family. I don't trust Nissan after the major CVT transmission problems they're notorious for.

That’s because I don’t beat the jeep up off road like a lot of people do

100% agree.
At least they talked about cargo space. Which is why the CX-5 was immediately crossed off my list.
Yup. These questions are answered with two companies; Toyota and Honda. No need to explain when they are so dominant
CX5 for me... it’s 95% Japan made, it’s the closest to driving with luxury feel, it’s the fastest , the most beautiful and its not a CVT and definitely no longer controlled by Ford.
you are correct, CX5 is assembled in Japan
Cx5 with that J Vin is a winner for me. Reliable and feels luxurious and sportier, the kodo design wins over the other ones. A non CVT will be overall better than its less Reliable competitors
That's why I'm going to get it too!👏👏👏
Ok
@@richrollin4867 A good CVT's lifespan is about 100k miles, if it's driven like Grandma drives it. They aren't as durable as a traditional automatic transmission. The Mazda's 6-speed automatic is very reliable.

I chose CX5 over the other brands. Engine power and driving experience is the most important thing for me, also it has an elegant interior and exterior look and the cargo space is pretty enough.

Why do people care about cargo room.. I rarely carry cargo in my car unless im moving or something I would never notice the less cargo. If I was actually carrying loads of stuff weekly then I might look into a bigger car or pickup.
I routinely get anywhere from 26-30 mpg in my 2020 CX-5. I already know I will be getting another CX-5 after this one.
@@bb-jp7er Fuel economy is ok, but it would be vastly better with a Turbocharged engine, a better transmission, and even a hybrid system
For me the Rogue is actually the best in this Segment.
It's a Nissan - that's why.
It is undeniable that their latest products are leaps and bounds ahead of their last generation, lackluster products.
The lady reviewer is a bit of a nutjob
anybody that rips on the scroll wheel hasn't used one.
Just looks, visibility, etc. etc.

It seems like yall had the highest trim of every vehicle except for the RAV4 lol
It was the only hybrid of the 4. Pretty sure they were selected for cost.
Xse is the second highest trim and best looking Trim
It might not be the best model to compare but its price sure does lend itself to comparison with the other models since the limited trim level can get as high as $40k, which is kinda ridiculous for the segment
Thats because it's so expensive
So it was out
4) CX-5 looks the best, drives the best, trusty 6 spd auto transmission, and has features on the "mid" trims that are only available in the high trims of the rest.

We traded our 2019 CRV in due to the impending engine problems that are happening, and honda is trying to ignore..

Most of the top review sites love the CRV. Maybe it's not the best in any one category, but really is the best all around for this segment. As much as I liked the CX5 styling/driving feel, I got the CRV because practicality is key for this class. No oil dilution or heating issues after 4 yrs.
I think these guys are missing on the reason why people buy cars, No mention of reliability.
Exactly: Nissan’s cvt is notoriously unreliable. Didn’t even mention it, except to say it’s basically unchanged.
Great call
@@GHinWI re tuned new generation more inline with how the 2020 Sentra handles its transmission. 0-60 is nearly a full 2 seconds faster from last year. Seen plenty with over 150k miles and no issues. You need to be more regimented with services vs a normal transmission. Properly taken care of they will last a long time just like all the other vehicles. Nissan ranks higher than honda and subaru for reliability currently 💁♂️
CVT will fail and drives like crap
@@ontarioman6301 that’s cute, my 20 Sentra drives phenomenally and it’s got the CVT
The Rogue seems to be the clear winner here Nissan’s designs just look modern specially the interior.
I’ve had a Nissan in the SL trim and it beats Toyota and Honda in options and up to date technology. I like that my SL comes fully loaded from the factory with not having to pay extra to add anything. I’ve had nine problem free for five years and am already getting quotes for a new Nissan SL or Platinum trims.
Do you keep up with the maintenance regularly?
In 10 years the RAV4 and CRV will still be worth 2 times as much as the other 2. Toyota and Honda for the win
Take it easy I love my rogue
CRV lemon
My wife and I recently leased a CX-5 and we prefer the knob over touchscreen, however, that doesn't happen a lot because we use google assistant most of the time
I purchased a 2020 Mazda CX-5 a few months ago.
Love the CX5
Just a heads up the gas tank is pretty small which I found to be annoying
@@Striker50_ yeah I noticed that when I filled up a few times.
You should have waited a little bit. There is a new 2021 CX-5 with an updated infotainment system!
@@Striker50_ that’s an issue with me. Subarus have the best gas tank sizes. Who likes stopping for gas anyhow. Well hybrid?
@@ericchen3444 True on that but just thought this morning after test driving one that all the dealers near us still have 2020s in the Mazda, not true the others makes.
So bargain down time? I would tell a dealer give me a $2,000 discount on a 2020 vs. 2021. At least try.
All reviews should be done on base trims.
Or on similarly priced cars...
Um no. Most people don't buy base trim vehicles.
Nah most people will buy a mid level trim
If your steering in the Rav4 feels heavy try turning off the lane assist, then your not fighting the steering wheel. And you didn't show the Toyota also has an adjustable cargo floor. Probably should have gone with the Limited AWD model, like mine. Traded in a Murano Platinum for it, because I liked everything about it better than the other 3.
Relying on an established Toyota hater's review? Lol.
Lol what does toyota reliability even mean? Just like the crv it has 4 cylinders and cvt. It doesn't sound so different to me.
@@G_dan The regular Rav4 has an 8 speed transmission. Hybrid version come with an eCVT which is very similar to a CVT. Point is, Toyota is known for their reliability, so it makes sense for me to choose a company that has that kind of reputation. Not saying they're the best, but just saying their consistent reputation for reliability should not be overlooked.
@@timvibes A million Toyota 8-speed automatic transmissions failed recently, resulting in a class action lawsuit. A CVT is still a CVT, and doesn't have the durability of a traditional automatic transmission.

@NSX 55 Don't even waste your breath man. It'll take 10 years before people stop hurling the CVT issues. I find it funny that Nissan has finally started putting out some good product and people will avoid giving any compliments and bring up the CVT issues. Let's not forget about the CR-Vs oil/gas mixing engine problems. Can't imagine when something like the new Pathfinder comes out and it won't have a CVT. What will they say then? lol
@@ELP1125 Like the CR-Vs that have issues with mixing oil and gas in the engine? Everyone has their problems and has a service bay full of cars.
The Mazda CX-5 is the winner 👍👍👍👍👍
The RAV4 is popular because of it’s reliability no matter if it’s a gasoline or hybrid.
I owned many cars like SRT Jeep, Hellcat, Jeep Compass, BW 650, Jaguar XJ, Porsche 718, Mercedes S550.. but this CRV is probably the most practical and budget friendly on gas and upkeep.
I've got a 2017 CRV touring AWD, I've have Nokian HAKKAPELITTA on it and it's so fun to drive in snow ❄️
I'm thinking of getting the CX 5..I haven't had a car in 8 years because I live in NYC..this review helped though..I love turbo engines and I'm big on the overall driving experience. I wish it had more room though but it's just me single..no kids
My choices based off of reliability and with the aid of the famous Scotty Kilmer’s, a famous mechanic who is also on RUclips, knowledge. Rav4 is #1, CX-5 is #2, CR-V is #3 but not in the long run because it’s a turbo with a small engine displacement (1.5L) and please do not choose the Rouge unless if you want to waste your precious money, it has major engine/transmission problems and it’s often refered to as an “endless money pit.” -Scotty Kilmer

CRV and Mazda for me. 😍😍
I would love to see a video where you take each of these SUV's to New England in February after a big Nor'Eastern and repeat that driving test.
Good review.
I like the CX-5 the most! The backup cmaera is different because that is a signature trim, with the touring it works and looks much better! Hope you see this! Hondas are almost to classic, Mazda's are kinda cars that some people don't know that much.
Layout in the RAV may be old school, but it works! Less distractions while driving.
Rav4 best engine most reliable truck out of the bunch. No brainer.
Not according to consumer reviews. 3.2 out of 5. Not good enough for me even it looks nice.
The transmission is weird...I rented one and hated the way it shifted. I owned a Gen 1 RAV4 and it was more quirkier.

We chose the Rav4 because I still feel unsure about the CR-V's questionable "oil-gas dilution" recall that they 'fixed,' even though buyers report the issue after they took theirs in. (This includes 2022)
The Mazda seems like a solid choice. They fixed their cylinder deactivation recall that was a problem in like 2019. I've recommended it to family.
