Thanks Guys, for a great, thorough review. I bought my 2021 Rogue Platinum a little over a month ago now. Sunset Drift - it turns heads everywhere I go. I have actually watched several groups of people walk around it looking inside and out. It is a beautiful vehicle. Traded in a 2012 Rogue SV that I did not have ONE issue with. Nothing invested other than oil changes and brakes once. Got a decent value on the trade, and watched the lot - it sold in a little over a week. Everybody's a mechanic here but me, evidently. All I will tell you is that my experience sold me on the last Rogue, and this new Platinum is like going from the Flintstone Mobile to the Jetson's Spaceship. It is a FANTASTIC car. And to all the naysayers, I do indeed hope I am as happy with this one after 9 years as I was with the last. The quality has vastly improved, so I am pretty confident. For the record? Just for kicks I test drove Rav 4, CX-5 and CR-V. and Santa Fe. For me? Rogue stood out head and shoulders above. But I am a long-time Nissan/Infiniti person. My first car was a Datsun B-210. :-) To each his own.

Just purchased a used 2021 Rogue platinum today! I’m using it as a daily work commuter, so the top end cabin features are more important to me than the engine power. I love that center pass through bin - excellent place to put my purse if hubs and I are both in the vehicle!

No question that the already strong selling Nissan Rogue's 2021 model represents a huge upgrade over the previous model. For some consumers Nissan's reliance on a CVT is still a weakness but as noted in the video most consumers will not even be aware of its existence while they find the Rogue's relatively strong fuel efficiency, a result in part related to the CVT, to be appealing. The absence of hybrid options from Nissan is increasingly an issue in the compact SUV category but it's not likely to be a major problem for several years. On a feature-by-feature comparison the Rogue appears to be a strong player and is likely to lessen the distance between it and the CR-V and RAV4 in terms of sales.

It's kind of dumb that I'm watching a review of a car I just bought, but we all do it. Anyway I like the car but a few quibbles. Rain sensing wipers. It's available on competitors, and I think it's a noticeable lack with the luxury feel they're going for. USB ports. Pick one type of port, having USB and USB-C means I have to carry twice as many cables. It has front and back attachment points for a tow hook but doesn't include the hook. The Nissan Connect app to remote control the car sucks, it's slow and unreliable. And I wish the gauge screen was more configurable. The dealers option all Plats the same way (except for the two tone paint), so you're stuck paying for the carpeted matts whether you want them or not. Anyway overall it's very nice. If you're looking for something roomy, comfortable, techy, and safe this is a good car. If you want something sporty this is not the right car.

RAV4 limited and Nissan platinum similar price. I will take Toyota RAV4. RAV4 is less mechanical problems last long and great resale value even if it’s on high mileage. Good luck in your discussion. It’s in my opinion.
Hybrid and ventilated seats would make this really good!
To people that want a hybrid and ventilated seats. Neither mean a thing to me - but I get - that's just me. Not sure that moves this vehicle exponentially though.
That empty space seems like it’ll probably makes it way into 2022 models
I BOUGHT A 2022 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER, BEST DESIGN , THE MOST IMPORTANT, IS THE ENGINE, SAME POWERTRAIN IN OUTLANDER AND ROGUE,
BE SMART NISSAN ROGUE 36,000 MILES 3 YEARS...MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER, 100,000 MILES OR10 YEARS...AND LESS PRICE, OUTLANDER SEL, $37,000 AND MORE FEATURES
At that price I would seriously look at the competition. Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, Subaru.
Nissan is the best looking around
@@arrogen2831 because Hondas and Toyotas are worth looking at, at 40 large. And are generally better.
@@arrogen2831 Go look at jetco transmission issues in Nissan. at 40K mark i would pick top trims from Mazda, honda, toyota or hyundai. These nissans go for 15K after 2 years as used. That tells you about the quality. Go get toyota for that price after 2 years. good luck. Resale value is a good matrix to determine car quality.
@@rishitarora7492 Nissan: *Laughs in 2022 Pathfinder*
I drove all the others and the Rouge SL won
Great review 👏
I LOVE IT!!! MY NEXT SUV WILL BE THIS ONE. THANKS...
Very nice car. Im waiting for it and hope it will appear in Europe ASAP. BTW, in Europe Rogue calls as X-Trail, and it aggregate with diesel engines such as 1.6 and 2.0 litres.
40,000 yeah right I just went to the delaarship. The payments are 930 and comes out 58000 thousand total. 40000 is the hook.
For this time Nissan you spoiled everywhere. What a woow classic
I like, I like I have the 2020 Rouge Sport... Now I want this one!!!
Wow thanks for this video I am a nissan lover I have owned every nissan except the rogue and murano
Glad you enjoyed!
He said the two front windows are One touch power up and down however I watched the video carefully and saw that it’s only the driver and not the passenger. When will Nissan make the passenger window or even all windows one touch up and down? Can the service department fix that issue? If so how much?
I like the passthrough under the shifter -- I can put a box of tissues there. Without it isn't that big a deal though.
Wow this is nice great work on that
Can you safely fit 3 carseats in the back or no ?
Yes
Nice review as a weekend package....😊😊
Thank you guys...
Is the 22-23 Mitsubishi outlander SEL this exact vehicle? Considering buying an SEL and went down the Rogue rabbit hole. Warranties seem better with Mitsubishi and you’re basically getting a rebadged Rogue Platinum..thoughts?
Indeed, mechanically they are the same until 2022 when Rogue switched to the turbo 3 cylinder
@@CarConfections thank you. My concern is the lack of Mitsubishi dealerships in my area versus Nissan. I mean yes the warranty options are better with Mitsu but we only have 2 within 1 hour of our home. There’s like 7 Nissan dealers within 45 minutes. Tough decision!! Lol
The actual OTD typically will 5k off for Nissan top trim.
I can see a lot of inspiration from the Murano in this new Rogue
Guys, could you film the 2021 Audi A3? One of my favorite sedans!
I got mine today ❤️
Hows it holdingsl up?
@@lenacheney works totally great
thinking about leasing a more standard rogue. Great detailed review.
we need comparison not between other years but between the venza, raft4, and rogue..all high sealing five pax...thank you
Fantastic job!!!
This car is mind blowing. Semi aniline leather. That’s Escalade and QX80 material for half or a third of the price. Nissan really outdid themselves.
Great Job Thanks for just talking about things you may want on the rogue instead of just saying how Nissan is not this and that they put what they feel some need cant make Everyone happy But you 2 do a great job Describing All companies Vehicles Fairly Thanks Be safe take care Always 🙏
Glad you enjoyed!
Imo unless jatco really improved the CVT reliability, RAV4 all day
there are two types of car guys:
1) only judge by reliability
2) go through all the cars pros and cons and then make their opinions.
@@kristians2704 well, do i agree, yes and no. these are the 2 primary/major ones but the third one is looking at company ethics. 4th one is judges the car by speed and doesnt care about features nor pros and cons the 5th ones care about how much they can customize the car
@@arrogen2831 actually i agree, but i dont think you see the third type that judges based on company's ethics
@@arrogen2831 the gas RAV4 comes with 8 speed automatic, the hybrid comes with an eCVT, which mechanically isn’t a CVT at all.
@@arrogen2831 the hybrid does. The regular gasoline model has an 8 speed auto
We’re going to see a 3 cylinder turbo with 204 hp and 221lb-ft torque soon.
What does the auto refuel mileage mean on the dash board? Nobody knows on google/ Reddit. Mine ranges between 22 and 42?
Great review , do the rear passenger Sears recline??
Thanks! And yes they do
Yes
No
Does this one have auto fold mirror?
I love the 2021 Nissan rouge, it’s very nice and sexy! I don’t like the CVT! Lol
It is not a cvt

@@elthansilvestre1568 LOL - it IS a CVT. Talked about it all through the review, and I own one, so I know.
Beautiful 🤩
My next vehicle. Will now have two Rogues!
Would you say this is better than the jeep 2022 compass high altitude?
Personally, I would pick this over a Compass
Why do some platinum trims come with a Dial while others have a switch for the drive mode selector? Does anyone know?
It depends on if it's FWD or AWD. AWD has the more complex knob
@@CarConfections Thanks for clarifying!!
I want and will have this car 💯🙏🏾
Am very curious about the new 2022 Rogue...in the market within the next 4 months....
What is the color considered for this vehicle?
Bolder Gray
Thank you!
yo, with the second row seats down do they lay flat? all these reviesws and have more questons then answers
Yep
They do lay totally flat.

my mom bought a rogue platinum yesterday
I have the SV AWD and probably will upgrade it when the new one w turbo comes up. I hope they release a hybrid

How do you programmed the garage to the rogue?
They should’ve added an optional 3rd row to this bad boy.
Hey Drew what was the song?
Do you think it’s reliable ? I heard lot of negatives about it online but I really like the car .
You can check out www.carconfections.com/reliability too see how Nissan stacks up as a whole
I prefer the rouge more than the rav 4 to
Great Nissan.
I know that you have done a review of the 2021 Subaru Outback Touring XT, but I would love to see a head to head comparison of these two vehicles. They sound very similar.
Everyone is a mechanic now. 😂 Can anyone actually tell me the failure rate of a CVT transmission vs any other, without looking it up.
If you don’t like the sound it makes or the replication to a real transmission... ok. But this whole it fails and it’s a piece of junk, is mostly people being sheep. At least do your research.
Has such bad reputation that Nissan replaced it in new Pathfinder with newly developed nine-speed gearbox, which should provide a smoother, more responsive driving experience. For information about troubled Jatco cvt - www.cashcarsbuyer.com/nissan-cvt-transmission-problems/

From the article..
“Over the last 20 years or so, there are a number of car companies that have started using CVTs in their vehicles. From Audi and Honda to Subaru and Toyota, many of the major car companies have bought into CVT technology to some degree.”
CVT in itself isn’t the problem is my point...and this proves it.
Hi Drew & Mason, Can you guys make a detailed review and how to use The Sentry Mode in Tesla Model 3

Lots of problems on the new 2021 Rogues. Some of them very serious like limp mode. Wait for the 3rd year for Nissan to work out all the bugs. On Edmunds, 27% of owner reviews are 1 star or 2 star. Yikes I would stay away from this for now.
Nice car, but I wonder if those coupons still valid :)
I ain't spending 40 grand on a car with cvt. Not that cvt is bad I've driven one on a small car where a cvt belongs not suvs and mid size sedans.
whats with the thick microphone ?
