Thanks Guys, for a great, thorough review. I bought my 2021 Rogue Platinum a little over a month ago now. Sunset Drift - it turns heads everywhere I go. I have actually watched several groups of people walk around it looking inside and out. It is a beautiful vehicle.
Traded in a 2012 Rogue SV that I did not have ONE issue with. Nothing invested other than oil changes and brakes once. Got a decent value on the trade, and watched the lot - it sold in a little over a week.
Everybody's a mechanic here but me, evidently. All I will tell you is that my experience sold me on the last Rogue, and this new Platinum is like going from the Flintstone Mobile to the Jetson's Spaceship. It is a FANTASTIC car.
And to all the naysayers, I do indeed hope I am as happy with this one after 9 years as I was with the last. The quality has vastly improved, so I am pretty confident.
For the record? Just for kicks I test drove Rav 4, CX-5 and CR-V. and Santa Fe. For me? Rogue stood out head and shoulders above. But I am a long-time Nissan/Infiniti person. My first car was a Datsun B-210. :-)
    To each his own.

It's kind of dumb that I'm watching a review of a car I just bought, but we all do it. Anyway I like the car but a few quibbles. Rain sensing wipers. It's available on competitors, and I think it's a noticeable lack with the luxury feel they're going for. USB ports. Pick one type of port, having USB and USB-C means I have to carry twice as many cables. It has front and back attachment points for a tow hook but doesn't include the hook. The Nissan Connect app to remote control the car sucks, it's slow and unreliable. And I wish the gauge screen was more configurable.
The dealers option all Plats the same way (except for the two tone paint), so you're stuck paying for the carpeted matts whether you want them or not.
Anyway overall it's very nice. If you're looking for something roomy, comfortable, techy, and safe this is a good car. If you want something sporty this is not the right car.

Gotta give it to Nissan. They've taken a quantum leap in quality in the last few years. This interior shames almost everything in the class, with the possible exception of the Mazda CX-5 Signature. I still do not like the JATCO CVT trans, no matter how much they refine it. Just ruins such an otherwise competent driving vehicle.

No question that the already strong selling Nissan Rogue's 2021 model represents a huge upgrade over the previous model. For some consumers Nissan's reliance on a CVT is still a weakness but as noted in the video most consumers will not even be aware of its existence while they find the Rogue's relatively strong fuel efficiency, a result in part related to the CVT, to be appealing. The absence of hybrid options from Nissan is increasingly an issue in the compact SUV category but it's not likely to be a major problem for several years. On a feature-by-feature comparison the Rogue appears to be a strong player and is likely to lessen the distance between it and the CR-V and RAV4 in terms of sales.

Great video! I've been driving a 2021 Nissan Rogue Platinum for close to 2 months ! All I can say is "wow"! It's a great vehicle for it's class of SUV! This vehicle does everything well for me! The engine power is more then adequate !I just came back from a road trip and the vehicle has more then enough power for passing and acceleration! The pro pilot is the real star for me on this vehicle! This feature makes driving on longer trips a lot easier and much safer. My only complaint is when I use the steering assist! This feature works fine but because of the angle that I keep my steering wheel at, I can't tell whether the signal light is still on. The steering assist will not work/ kick back in when you change lanes and the signal light is still on! I have to physically move my head to tell whether the signal light is still on so I can turn it off. As far as I know there is no turning signal indicator on the digital part of the dash board....This is a very minor flaw. If I'm missing something about this, maybe someone can point out a quick fix.

      Rav 4
      Forester limited
      Passport
      Rouge SL
      Equinox
      Santa Fe
After driving so many it was down to the Forester limited and Rogue SL. Rogue was loaded with more features and the amazing infotainment screen sold it. Feels more luxurious like a Lexus. Love all the amazing cameras and safety features. Just hope it lasts because I am no longer leasing. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Howdy, awesome review as always y’all and I agree with you guys, the CVT is a nonissue to the average person! With that being said, Nissan is so close to having the perfect car, so I’ll share my opinion on what they can do to make it perfect. For what they charge, I’d like to see a power adjusting steering wheel, ventilated front seats, a more premium audio system, and a more upscale key fob thrown in. The other thing is I feel they should make two cost options available:
    -A hybrid power train.
    -A 2.0 liter turbo charged 4 cylinder
With all of that being said, aside from the somewhat lacking engine situation, this truly is an excellent car!😸😸
