@babc142 yea, I was quite shocked to see 4.5 on it! Looking forward to getting out tomorrow morning and testing the quad and gps rth 4.5. See how much of an improvement there is. There are some changes in the configurator with regards to gps rescue on 4.5. The most notable being you can reduce the minimum distance for gps return to 10m. And if you activate it within 10m, it says it will fly away from you, until its more than 10m away, then it will initiate rth. Rather than just disarm like 4.4. I haven't used anything above 4.4.1 so I'm not sure if these improvements are new for 4.5 or whether they already existed
hello sir. i got mine yesterday but i have a question about installing the propellers. which screws are the ones that need to be used with the propellers?
Hi! Do you think this drone is suitable for cinematic shooting, for example diving? Is it impact resistant? I'm going to go with this frame or a 3.5", and do a cinematic oriented build....
Thank you so much for this video! I just purchased the analog version which is great but I’m confused about the included GoPro mount. It only has 2 ears on it rather than the typical 3 that GoPros slot into. I’m not sure how to mount it. Am I missing something?
one more question, have you done a betaflight tune yet and of so, would you be providing one for the community. noobs like myself would benefit insanely in an optimized configuration that we can load.
I just got mine. The "manual" is a bit vague. No idea what some parts are! Could you tell me if tge proos are attached with the m2- 6..ir the m2 -7 screws? Theyve included 8 of each! And, I guess I need to upgrade to Betaflight 4.5.0 from 10.9.0 (697943b)... since the Tern has newer firmware... Correct?
Hi. I cant remember if its the 6mm or 7mm bolts.. I think ideally you want about 3mm of thread to go inside the motor, so just push one of each screws through a prop and see which one suits best. Yes you will need to upgrade the the newest beta flight configurator to use 4.5
Just ordered one of these, how long did it take to come? Also, quick question (I'm new to FPV so forgive me), but these ship with 3000kv motors which if I'm not mistaken means it'd be pretty good at freestyle. GEPRC support recommended a 4S Li-Ion 3000mah with a 10C discharge rate, surely that means if I go full throttle then I can blow the battery/damage the motors?
Hopefully I'll be able to get out to test the quad tomorrow morning. It's very well built, and very stiff. I expect this could take quite a beating. I have done a hover test, and it seems to have plenty of punch!
If you use a li-on battery, you can easily get 25 minutes flight time. So I guess this would make it a credible long range drone. I dont personally want to fly long range, I simply like the sub250g and rth features. But this does seem to be one of the best so far imo
@josediaz6246 I will do some testing with an 850mah lipo. I know its not the ideal battery for long range flight times. But I think I'd easily get 8 minutes of cruising.... I dont have anything bigger than an 850mah unfortunately
I saw a Flywoo Explorer guy do 10km out and back on a 3000mAh 18650 but that's the absolute limit as he crashed short of his takeoff point running the battery completely flat.
Granted it looks a little odd, and maybe a little cheap compared to the rest of the build, but its damn good! Very good! And the mount is definitely crash proof.
** I have since connected to betaflight and this is sent with 4.5.0 ! Will test and update as soon as weather allows **
Wow, first quad I have seen to ship with 4.5, very sensible given the GPS rescue improvements

What would you buy today flywoo or this geprc tern? Looking to purchase one of these soon
Great vid and the first review I’ve seen of this quad
Cheers mate ☺️

Thank you 😊. Tbh... almost all small quads come with those mounts. I'm not sure why?? I didn't use a go pro on mine ...

Do you think the Quad is capable of freestyle? Is the frame strong enough?

Im new to fpv , but are 4inch really long range i mean how big of a battery can u put i always thought 7plus was long range

@FPV-TV419 no yea i guess u can put a 18650 or 21700 but thats heavey at the same time idk i would to try and see how it feels

I really don't like the GPS of the LR40...🤣
