Hi Gary, I'm 29 from Manchester, just wanted to say I'm a massive fan, watched every video on the channel, love your demeanor, integrity, wit, humour, & presenting style. I know it must be hard work, and you are super professional, dedicated and work unbelievably hard. We appreciate your reviews, it brightens the day. Thank you, keep on being exceptional.
No gimmicks, no catchphrases ... simply the best food reviewer on RUclips, well done Gary, never sell out, continue as you are and the rewards will come
Being Irish myself, we take our soup very seriously! I myself LOVE soup! You can judge a resturant just by the quality of the home made soup alone and that looked good! Yum yum!
This was remarkable! Forget the cost as it was well worth it and maybe more. Hats off to the owner for not charging extortionate prices, even though they do increase during the evening menu
Hi Gary, I hope you manage to read this! I just wanted to say, every time you upload a video it makes me very happy and completely relaxes me! I suffer majorly from depression and anxiety but watching your videos really does ‘put a smile on my face’ me and my sister can’t wait for you to post a new video! We have really bonded over your vids! Thank you Gary, you are a gent 🙂
This looked like one of the yummiest meals you've reviewed, Gary. And the price cannot be beat! Especially in London! Once again, this proves that family/owner-owned businesses have more heart and attention to detail than chains or celebrity-backed establishments. So happy you had an exceptional experience!😊❤
Gary, are you ready for a shock, it’s very hot over here in the Republic. Oh my goodness the soup and the soda bread, how delicious. That pie, £10, what a bargain, butter pastry. Apple crumble, great choice. Presentation was amazing. What a fabulous bargain. 10, yes indeed.
Nice to see thar your promoting these small independent businesses. There's some hidden gems out there that need tge recognition. Top review as always.
To be fair, the cow pie in the Dandy was also what the Americans would call a "pot pie" - not fully encased, just a crust top (with the horns sticking out, of course!).
This is one of my favorite reviews Gary. You are so right about chefs who care. Everything looked quality, especially that “cow” pie. Hope your ankle heals soon.
Blimey Gary!! I can't believe you ate all that & you were still standing at the end! Wow. Food like my old gran used to make...pies, crumbles, suet puds, cakes, Irish stew, beef n dumplings, you name it, she made it. Oh, how I miss those meals! Wish they had somewhere like that around here, but it's a bit of a trek to NW London for Desperate Dan! Loved the Beano, Dandy & Beezer when I was a little girl😄Roger the Dodger, The Bash Street Kids, Billy Whizz, Beryl the Peril & of course Minnie the Minx.... just like me!..😂🤣😉
The cameraman should have filmed you chipping away at that lovely pie crust still stuck on the bowl. Holy moly, what is the deal with portion sizes? It is simply amazing. £10 for that pie and £7 for that dessert, what a great value. Quality and value, Damn rights it’s a 10/10.
Bone marrow adds a huge depth of flavor and richness! That pie looks excellent and at an excellent price point. Great job, Gary! Cheers from New England
Gary, I love the variety of your channel. One day, it's a £100 buffet. The next, it's a great value stunner. One of life's little pleasures is a good soup, quality roll, and a pat of butter. That soup combo nailed it. The pie, man, what can you say. That was a tremendous pie. Then the crumble, perfection. You've found another gem of a place there mixing quality and value. Kinda jealous 😂
Great to see a ten out of ten! What I sensed from this restaurant was effort. Effort in cooking, presentation, and in service. Plus fantastic value which always helps.
Wow, that has to be one of the most impressive finds on your whole channel. I only hope they can afford to keep offering those specials at that standard and price. Even at full price it'd score high but if you stick to the specials, I'd have to give it a 10, too. That pie looked world class!
The decor was great, love the quirkiness. That pie looked unreal, never saw such a huge pie and it looked almost fake it looked so perfect. So rare that something tastes as good as it looks, so it's great it lived up to it. Absolutely fantastic value for money. Thank you for bringing us along again and I hope the cameraman got at least one of those chocolates lol.

Hi Gary, The way you handle the reviews are refreshing, the dining experience is always a bit different but most of the time it is the staff that put that extra mile to help you come again and again.
Gary, I didn't wait to see what marks you gave that meal, but for me it had to be a 10 it looked a real man's lunch/dinner and it made me envious. That has got to be one of the best value for money/quality British food reviews you've done, well done and thank you.
Hi Gary and Mr Cameraman Wow Gary how to they make such a substantial pie like this at that price that's quite amazing. Its so nice to see all this in house made food from scratch, and the taste and quality just proves its worth that extra effort. This was well deserving of a ten, i just don't know how they do it and make a good profit at that price. Chris. PS - Some great camerawork in this clip, especially the outside and inside footage.
When i watch a RUclips video i try and read through all the comments. Most channels, its not a problem but i havent yet seen a video of yours with less than 1,000 comments. Amazing.
Great review as always Gary and the food looked fantastic and great value. My only disappointment was there were no horns sticking out of the cow pie.😂
Nothing like a home made tomato soup. Good comfort food absolutly filling. And that soda bread sure is a great companion. As for the pie, all i can say is that for 10 quid you can't beat it. Ten points on that meal mate. Definitly Parlour is a must.
that was a gigantic pie for 10£ and the tomato soup looked so rich and good! another very enjoyable video, you have become my favorite youtube personality gary, a humble, kind and well-manered gentleman, attributes many people are lacking nowadays.
As usual loving the vids, Gary. I’m watching this whilst I’m having my lunch at work and it’s making my mouth water. Fantastic. Thank u Gary - find your manner so relaxed and natural. You’d be brilliant on television x
Huge fan Gary , there are loads of people doing food reviews but for me I love your style , down to earth but so honest , and it’s just a pleasure to watch your videos , you’ll soon hit that 100k , and thank you for your time and effort bringing us so much joy , oh and the camera man as well 😂👍👍👌❤️
The ladies knew back in the days of Gary's prime time if he looked at them over the table like this, they couldn't resist! That Arthur Fonzie look 👀. (HAPPY DAYS 😃!! Lol 9:24
Hi Gary, an absolute pleasure to watch your channel as always and I'm very happy to know that I'm not the only one who likes bread with their butter!! X 😊
(683) I would have been SHOCKED if it was less than a "10". That looked WONDERFUL; and I don't mind if a pie just has a top crust. Better than getting one that has a double-crust and the bottom is moosh because they did not blind-bake it before filling and topping the pie. BOO, HISS ... What a terrific little eatery; they will soon have to have reservations after your review. Thanks for another killer upload, Gary. And I hope the camera man got at least ONE truffle.
OMG Gary how do you find them? That food was heaven sent. The soup looked beautiful and creamy with the added crunch of the croutons, as for the cow pie..wow and to finish off with the apple crumble and custard all made in house just puts a smile on my face. Great find just a shame it's 150 miles away.
Not a pie (pastry) lover but that was an unbelievable pie for the money. All looked fantastic value, and in London!!! Wow! I’m planning on making Hubby Joe an apple crumble this week so that made me smile. He just needs to finish his scones first! Brilliant review, Gary, as per normal. I’m sure I’ve got loads to catch up on but I’m getting there! Keep up with the fantastic reviews. I love ‘em!!!
Just a note from me and my mate 'Costly Cashbags', to you and 'Plug' your cameraman. What a superb covered casserole. In all my born days [quite a few] I have not seen such quality in a pie.[ Oh ok, if you can't beat 'em. join 'em].
@GaryEats: You're so kind. Been rough with the depression and this month is really bad as it's the anniversary of my Mum's passing. 10 years this year, mate. Best wishes xxx.
You push your spoon away from you. Good table manners. My grandmother attended a state dinner at the White House. I was raised with proper table manners.
This might sound crazy but I am finishing up training as a therapist, we often talk about a concept in therapy called congruence. Basically it is describing being genuine when dealing with a client in the process of therapy and building a good therapeutic relationship in which change can occur. A very important part in the process to say the least. I am sitting here watching this video thinking if I ever get to the point where I am lecturing and training other therapists to be I will be showing them the classic American (no offence/offense to those from the US) food review shows first and asking them what they think, then showing them this video or any of Gary's other videos as an example of what a difference a genuine approach can achieve. I will put my money on them all identifying the massive gap between what you do and the rest Gary, absolutely you are a genuine human being and much respect to you for it. For ethical reasons I can't recommend it to clients as a treatment but I honestly feel that watching your videos would be of great benefit to people who watch and could help them recover from bad experiences with people in their own lives but also a modelling exercise on how being yourself, always, will endear others. I have long been a sceptic about RUclips and the potential for the promotion of the parasocial relationships which can be fostered but I have to say I am finding myself proven wrong by my experience of this channel.
This is one of the most wonderful comments I've ever read on this channel and it means the world that you think so highly of it. Take care and best wishes to you.
Gary, if that pie was encased the cameraman would've had to take you home in a forklift lol. Fantastic food at an incredible price. Remember the original GG? Gary Glitter? It's now Gary Greeno 👍👍👍
Don't quite get what you are getting at re. "original" GG...to think he is remembered amongst other things for his name becoming rhyming slang for a humans anal sphincter...as I said I don't get the connection. Maybe a good kick up the gary might help... best wishes from South East London 👉♾️👈🤜🏼🤛🏿⁉️
Gary Eats Bingo Where am I? *Claps hands* *Runs* Now... Take a look at this I've got a smile on my face Very very good Very well seasoned Now the service I've got to tell you *Gilet* I do like that presentation Is that the best X I've ever had? Let's give it a go.
I have zero idea how you found space for all of that mesmerising food Gary?!?! Each course was just a delight to see and so generous with the portions 🤯 the presentation of the food fits the atmosphere and the ambience of the restaurant so so well. It’s such a unique restaurant and must be rammed daily. Just seems like a full package place to go with the family for most occasions. Best way to sum it up…….. delightful. Know I’ve said it loads of times about your reviews…… but I think this has become my new favourite. Great work as always 🫡
That waa a lovely review on excellent looking food. The crumble looked like at least two portions. Really enjoy your channel, thanks Gary and cameraman ❤❤
Another great review. Looks like a place I would go to just for the soup alone , it looked so good. Pie brilliant value and then a bottle of custard with your crumble that’s heaven. Wish your ankle better. Thanks Gary
Gary I love watching your reviews. You are calm, honest and very watchable. You also arent over the top and you have nice table manners😅Thats really important when you're watching people eat.x
Been watching Our Gary for a few weeks now and despite the astronomical growth in following, he’s still the amiable “normal” geezer giving fair opinions. Another fabulous find, with that tasty looking home made pie and crumble. Thanks again sir!! 👏👏👏
Fantastic review Gary 👏 £10 for that pie is incredible value 👍🏻I'm at that age where I remember Desperate Dan in the Dandy as well and always remember his cow pie with the cows horns sticking out from the top .Happy days indeed 😂😂😂😂
Gary this is probably your best review ever The food and value was amazing What we love about your videos is your enthusiasm and honesty....just brilliant ❤
Gary, another chance to enjoy a glass of red wine as I am immersed in the excellence of your friendly reviews. It is also great that you extol on the virtues of owners who so obviously show care and pride in their offerings. Further more, it is always nice that you don't simply focus on the high end prices but find locations which offer great fare at prices that ordinary people can afford. Bravo 👏
Drooling that pie looked fantastic, loved the presentation like Desperate Dan meets Fairy f0rest . CANT BELIEVE amazing price dec0r and soup but that crumble ❤ Smashing review really want to vist . Thank you Gary and cameraman 🎉🎉🎉
That pie looked absolutely amazing, the person that made that obviously knows their way round a kitchen. Pastry is my favourite and that didn't disappoint, the filling was perfectly cooked. I'd definitely order that Gary
You're my go to channel when I want to live vicariously through someone else's food experience. I can't have dairy or gluten, but I can enjoy you enjoying it.
Thanks Gary an awesome recommendation. I live in Hong Kong and was looking for somewhere to meet my sister and brother in law.... we followed your recommendation and we were not disappointed. You were totally correct on your summary. Would recommend to anyone. So grateful you reviewed, which ensured we was able to have an awesome lunch and great memories!
10/10 all day long! You can see the chefs and everyone in the kitchen love what they do when you see the food and presentation, top stuff. That pie! It looked so good, and it being £10 just added to the wow factor. Top stuff Gary, hope the ankle is OK 👍🏼 Keep up the great work guys!
So good to see food that is made by someone who really cares about their craft. Looked spectacular. I wish I could get there. Great videos. Thank you for doing them.
You make me smile. The food looked superb, that is for sure. Pricewise, it was excellent. 10 out of 10 is, of course, well deserved. Thank you very much for taking us there!

I can't think of a more quintessential British dish than a pie. It looks absolutely gorgeous. Great vid buddy!
Thank you and it was delicious
When i watch a RUclips video i try and read through all the comments. Most channels, its not a problem but i havent yet seen a video of yours with less than 1,000 comments. Amazing.
I do get a lot of comments Terence. I agree, but I’m really enjoyed reading them and responding to them as I appreciate everyone watching.
I seem to recall that Desperate Dan Pie had 2 horns sticking out of the pastry but I'll let them off with that comic touch.
Yes I think the bone marrow was supposed to be their version of it
Great review as always Gary and the food looked fantastic and great value. My only disappointment was there were no horns sticking out of the cow pie.😂
I think the chef tried to produce something similar with the bone marrow but it's not the same as the horns
Recon two marrow bones topped with parsley would do the trick
Nothing like a home made tomato soup. Good comfort
food absolutly filling. And
that soda bread sure is a
great companion. As for
the pie, all i can say is that
for 10 quid you can't beat
it. Ten points on that meal
mate. Definitly Parlour is
a must.
I agree Paulo amazing value
that was a gigantic pie for 10£ and the tomato soup looked so rich and good!
another very enjoyable video, you have become my favorite youtube personality gary, a humble, kind and well-manered gentleman, attributes many people are lacking nowadays.
The value was incredible. Thank you for your lovely comment it really means a lot
As usual loving the vids, Gary. I’m watching this whilst I’m having my lunch at work and it’s making my mouth water. Fantastic. Thank u Gary - find your manner so relaxed and natural. You’d be brilliant on television x
That is very kind to see, and I hope you enjoyed your lunch, Paul
Huge fan Gary , there are loads of people doing food reviews but for me I love your style , down to earth but so honest , and it’s just a pleasure to watch your videos , you’ll soon hit that 100k , and thank you for your time and effort bringing us so much joy , oh and the camera man as well 😂👍👍👌❤️
Thanks Phill, I try to change it up now and then to keep things fresh and exciting but your comment means a lot
@@GaryEats Cheers Gary
An incredible review by an incredible gentleman 🎩👍💯🌟
Thank you Asad. I hope you are doing well and thanks for supporting the channel for so long
I second this. Man is a national treasure.
The ladies knew back in the days of Gary's prime time if he looked at them over the table like this, they couldn't resist! That Arthur Fonzie look 👀. (HAPPY DAYS 😃!! Lol 9:24
Lol Asad, that's very kind of you
Hi Gary, an absolute pleasure to watch your channel as always and I'm very happy to know that I'm not the only one who likes bread with their butter!! X 😊
That’s very kind, thank you very much, Gill xx
Found your channel recently and I absolutely love it. You are so humble and honest. Very respectful of the wait staff and chefs.
That’s so very kind to say thank you Cynthia, have a wonderful weekend
Always great to get a new Gary Eats video and especially today, my Dad's birthday! Cheers, mate xxx.
It's my Dad's birthday too! We must be twins. 😅
Happy birthday!!!🎉❤
@rationalbacon5872: Happy birthday to your Dad!
@dejah85: Thank you!
@@paulc1553Likewise! 🎉
He left with …..nothing lol and have a great weekend 👌
OMG Gary how do you find them? That food was heaven sent. The soup looked beautiful and creamy with the added crunch of the croutons, as for the cow pie..wow and to finish off with the apple crumble and custard all made in house just puts a smile on my face. Great find just a shame it's 150 miles away.
This was a gem 💎 Darren 👌
All 3 courses looked lovely. Thank you for another wonderful upload 😊
You’re welcome 😊
Not a pie (pastry) lover but that was an unbelievable pie for the money. All looked fantastic value, and in London!!! Wow! I’m planning on making Hubby Joe an apple crumble this week so that made me smile. He just needs to finish his scones first! Brilliant review, Gary, as per normal. I’m sure I’ve got loads to catch up on but I’m getting there! Keep up with the fantastic reviews. I love ‘em!!!
Thanks for watching as always Fiona, this was delicious
Just a note from me and my mate 'Costly Cashbags', to you and 'Plug' your cameraman. What a superb covered casserole. In all my born days [quite a few] I have not seen such quality in a pie.[ Oh ok, if you can't beat 'em. join 'em].
Thanks Jeffrey, take care
Beano man myself too Gary - was in the Dennis The Menace fan club....D.I.N.G.
Same!
Has to be Beano lol
I reckon Gary is a bit of a Roger the Dodger!
Lol David brilliant
I was thinking he was one of the Bash Street Kids 😂
He’s Dennis the Menace! 😂

@@GaryEats Thank you, you're a gem Gary. I'll just watch your back catalogue instead of telly ☺️
Once again I am slavering Gary. Everything you reviewed today looked top notch. Keep up with the great work mate 👍
Thank you very much John
I always preferred the Beano to the Dandy, Gary. Get well soon xxx.
Me too and yes Mr G hope your ankle mends soon..❤
Yep the Bash Street Kids (PLUG it) , Gnasher. I reckon wacky races Muttley is loosely based on Gnasher.
You're the man Paul. How are you feeling?
Thank you xx
@GaryEats: You're so kind. Been rough with the depression and this month is really bad as it's the anniversary of my Mum's passing. 10 years this year, mate. Best wishes xxx.
You push your spoon away from you. Good table manners. My grandmother attended a state dinner at the White House. I was raised with proper table manners.
That’s very kind to say, thank you very much
Get a life!!
Wish I could try it, looked fabulous! 10 for sure
It was spectacular
People in that area are lucky to have the pub,it looks like a great place and that pie looks lovely, nice one Gary
If I lived nearby this would be my local James
@@GaryEats i always watch you Gary,i just very rarely comment, but i just loved this place
Already liked!
Thank you Ant!
Gary, if that pie was encased the cameraman would've had to take you home in a forklift lol. Fantastic food at an incredible price. Remember the original GG? Gary Glitter? It's now Gary Greeno 👍👍👍
I would have had to waddle down the street Bernie lol, take care
Gary Glitter!!!??? are you serious?
Don't quite get what you are getting at re. "original" GG...to think he is remembered amongst other things for his name becoming rhyming slang for a humans anal sphincter...as I said I don't get the connection.
Maybe a good kick up the gary might help...

Let's talk about the price
They've added a 12% service charge and I have no problem at all
As always... Let's give it a go.
You missed me really really liking soda bread but that was a great list lol
I have zero idea how you found space for all of that mesmerising food Gary?!?! Each course was just a delight to see and so generous with the portions 🤯 the presentation of the food fits the atmosphere and the ambience of the restaurant so so well. It’s such a unique restaurant and must be rammed daily. Just seems like a full package place to go with the family for most occasions. Best way to sum it up…….. delightful. Know I’ve said it loads of times about your reviews…… but I think this has become my new favourite. Great work as always 🫡
It was incredible... thank you Mike that's very kind
That waa a lovely review on excellent looking food. The crumble looked like at least two portions. Really enjoy your channel, thanks Gary and cameraman ❤❤
Thank you very much Judith
Another great review. Looks like a place I would go to just for the soup alone , it looked so good. Pie brilliant value and then a bottle of custard with your crumble that’s heaven. Wish your ankle better. Thanks Gary
Glad you enjoyed it Martin
Nothing quite as satisfying as fresh butter on fresh bread 😋
I agree 💯💯💯

Been watching Our Gary for a few weeks now and despite the astronomical growth in following, he’s still the amiable “normal” geezer giving fair opinions. Another fabulous find, with that tasty looking home made pie and crumble.
Thanks again sir!! 👏👏👏
That’s very kind to say Paul thank you very much
Great meal, and equally great review! In the 50's 'Cow Pie' was one of my mum's staples! Fantastic VFM 😀

Fantastic review Gary 👏 £10 for that pie is incredible value 👍🏻I'm at that age where I remember Desperate Dan in the Dandy as well and always remember his cow pie with the cows horns sticking out from the top .Happy days indeed 😂😂😂😂
Great memories 👌👌
Gary this is probably your best review ever
The food and value was amazing
What we love about your videos is your enthusiasm and honesty....just brilliant ❤
That’s really appreciated Wayne thank you very much 👌
That pie looked absolutely to die for! All round top quality homemade, did they have a nice selection of beers as well?
They did Ian I should have said that
Gary, another chance to enjoy a glass of red wine as I am immersed in the excellence of your friendly reviews. It is also great that you extol on the virtues of owners who so obviously show care and pride in their offerings. Further more, it is always nice that you don't simply focus on the high end prices but find locations which offer great fare at prices that ordinary people can afford. Bravo 👏
Which glass of red did you go for today?
@@GaryEats A nice glass (or two..) of Cabinet Savignon. It is probably a nice wine to go with the Cow Pie as has flavours of blueberry and spice 😁
Drooling that pie looked fantastic, loved the presentation like Desperate Dan meets Fairy f0rest . CANT BELIEVE amazing price dec0r and soup but that crumble ❤
Smashing review really want to vist .
