Quite right, Gary! Your "sorry" reaction defines you as British. I do it all the time. People have actually laughed their heads off at me abroad, but I couldn't care less. We are the country of good manners, and long may we remain so.
This is mine and my fellas fave place to eat. Fun experience the stone cooking, but even to go for a steak cooked by the chefs is really good too. You can ask them for another stone if it goes cold and they will give you another one. Glad you tried and enjoyed it. ❤ x
Another enjoyable video Gary, been in here many times and been in all 4 locations as well! Lovely food/drink, + really good staff etc Look fwd to the next video 👍🏻
Great video again. It’s surprising that a restaurant in that location is so reasonably priced. I went to a restaurant in Australia where they had the same cook your own food on a hot stone, but they also had chicken. My partner had the chicken and I had a steak, I couldn’t help think the restaurant was leaving themselves open to a lawsuit, as the meat was raw when it came out, it’d be so easy to under cook the chicken and get food poisoning.
Before I watched this review Gary I watched one by another food reviewer who's been around a while, sadly it was full of waffle and I skipped through most of it. Your review was waffle free,no self promotion and just perfect..well done mate, keep it up😊

Gary ... every prawn you eat in London will have been frozen at some point in its journey. A completely fresh 'never-frozen' prawn so far inland would not last long enough to make it to your table without much U-bend antics later. FYI. Want fresh seafood? ... eat it BY the sea (and even then it's probably been flash frozen in many places ... tis the nature of the beast :)

Our favourite Bon Vivant! Love prawns and they looked wonderful! My friend doesn't like the texture of mushrooms but doesn't mind the flavour .... Maybe start with a good steak, and a cream sauce with a few thinly slice fried in butter mushrooms added.
This reminds me of the time 2 years ago, my wife ordered a steak in a popular chain, up north somewhere. It came in a pan which had obviously been to Sizewell B. The steak was a charred mess. After apologising they brought out another, exactly the same! I explained that steak is cooked as requested taken out of the nuclear reactor and then rested for a few minutes. Gary, the self-cooking facility, reminded me of a fashion in London around the 1990s. Do you remember the brief flourish of "Mongolian Barbecue" restaurants? Basically, you would pick up a plate and walk over to a salad-bar arrangement located in the middle of the restaurant. Once there, you would choose some completely raw meat sitting piled up in a dish (which, let's face it, doesn't look particularly appetising until the cooking process starts) then you would go along the bar picking up raw vegetables and plonking them on your plate next to the meat. Finally, when you got to the end, a bloke would be standing by a griddle. You gave him the plate, and he tipped out the contents, flipped it around a few times on the hotplate, before plating it up again and handing it back to you. When it worked, it was great. Unfortunately, it didn't always work, and the food was frequently either burnt or undercooked. Of course, being English, we never complained. We just ate it all up and prayed that we would not spend the early hours of the morning riding the porcelain chariot. Funnily enough, from memory, none of the people doing the "cooking" looked in the slightest Mongolian. I remember in one of these places the cook had clearly developed a conscience about his physical incongruity and had stuck a phoney slim "Oriental"-style moustache beneath his nose. He also did a very poor impersonation of a Chinese accent. He would say "ah so" when you passed over the plate. My mates and I found it hilarious. The food was bloody awful, but the floor show was worth the price of the bill! We all thought that he had modeled his performance on Christopher Lee in those Fu Manchu films made by Hammer in the 1970s. Anyway, at least here YOU were in charge of the cooking. It looked nice, and very reasonably priced for Charing Cross Road/Leicester Square. A lot of places around there don't care about quality, because there is so much passing trade. In fairness, this appeared different. Thnks for another wonderful review. You are the best on the Internet.

Brilliant review as always mate. And for the price in central London really good. Gary still waiting for you to do Jamaican food review can't wait to see you do one mate.
Ive been here a couple of times, nice place to eat and as you say considering the location pretty good value / quality. Not your usual tourist trap. Cooking on the hot stone adds a bit of fun. We had a surprise engagement party here a couple of years ago and the service for our large group was excellent.
This is one of my husbands favourite meals here in PT, here they give you a raw steak and 3 little dips and butter for around £16 and yes you should put the whole steak on the stone. Glad you enjoyed it, very nice setting.
Love Gary to try a Teppanyaki one day. Very expensive in London, but Gary always obliges that's why we love his channel. Steak cooking is difficult to please everyone. Some like it rare, others like me like well cooked and so nearly burnt
One of your most entertaining videos. Seeing you cooking has been an experience that I am going to remember for a long time, it was very original. The steak was reasonable value in my opinion and the shrimps are Spanish style gambas al ajillo, mainly cooked in the Basque Country. The restaurant looks great and is centrally located, we will certainly visit it. Congratulations for an unusual review that I have loved, Gary.

@@GaryEats Well buoy dress up warm, it's bleddy freezing down ere.
@@trurabuoy9593 so much for the heatwave we were promised.
Brilliant review as always mate. And for the price in central London really good. Gary still waiting for you to do Jamaican food review can't wait to see you do one mate.
I know I promised you a while ago but I have a great one coming... Cafe Caribbean!!
@@GaryEats Nice one mate
What a find! I didn’t know this place existed. Thank you Gary!
It’s worth a look
@@GaryEats 👍.
Ive been here a couple of times, nice place to eat and as you say considering the location pretty good value / quality. Not your usual tourist trap. Cooking on the hot stone adds a bit of fun. We had a surprise engagement party here a couple of years ago and the service for our large group was excellent.
I agree Charlie this was a lot of fun 👌
I love watching your videos just before I go to sleep, so relaxing😌
I’m pleased I can send you to sleep 😂😂
Thoroughly entertaining Gary. 'Salt Bae' - nice comedic touch!
Glad you enjoyed it Dale
I'd go there in a minute. Looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing it.
Thank you for watching
Well, mmmmm, my birthday on the 8th, 54yrs young, i think i may have found my next port of call, thanks Gary and have a lovely new year.🎉
Happy birthday for the 8th and I hope you have a fantastic 2025
@GaryEats thank you so much Gary, true gentleman you are.
Thanks Gary for another great review 👌
That’s very kind of you
Another cracking review. Good on ya mate.
Thanks so much 👍
This is one of my husbands favourite meals here in PT, here they give you a raw steak and 3 little dips and butter for around £16 and yes you should put the whole steak on the stone. Glad you enjoyed it, very nice setting.
Thank you Susan , hope you’re well see you soon 👌
Love Gary to try a Teppanyaki one day. Very expensive in London, but Gary always obliges that's why we love his channel. Steak cooking is difficult to please everyone. Some like it rare, others like me like well cooked and so nearly burnt
Will do!! Love Teppanyaki
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you Juan, means a lot
You're really blossoming in your videos. More and more chuckles. Maybe we should have chuckles rating.
Thanks so much, that means a lot
