    Blanket measures approx 64 x 74
If you want to make it smaller, you can chain 77 instead.
    Materials:
3 Black Skeins of blanket yarn (258 yards each)
3 white skeins of blanket yarn
    1 P hook
1 plastic or metal yarn needles for weaving ends.
The yarn I used and some good options, looks for a size 6 yarn.

I'm so glad that I found your channel. I crocheted as a child but haven't picked up a hook in 30 plus yrs. My oldest daughter is expecting so she asked that I make a blanket for her baby. I was familiar with the basic stitches but you tutorial is awesome. I downloaded this patter but it was also helpful to watch you doing it while I read through the pattern instructions. I can't thank you enough. I'm one of your newest subscribers. I see Christmas projects in my future. Thank you so much.

I absolutely love your videos! I have been in a crochet break because every project I started took too long, but I have been following you for less than a month and I have made two scarfs, one beanie and i am finishing a pretty sizable blanket with the baby blanket 'brick' pattern. This is my next one. Thank you for the inspiration.

Hi Melanie! Hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving. Just was watching your video and have been wanting to make a red, white and blue chevron blanket for a while now, but wasn't sure as how to make it. You have that magical touch of teaching us easier ways of understanding the different stitch types of crocheting. I am working on a blanket for my daughter, and this is my next project for the Christmas vacations from work. Thanks for all you do to inspiring us to be crafty. Happy Holidays!

Melanie, I am so thrilled to have found your tutorials. I just started crocheting again after 50 years...yes I was 10 when I last crocheted. I picked up the crochet needle and like you mentioned in previous videos muscle memory kicked in. But I couldn't remember the stitches so I began watching your videos. You are a joy to watch. You patiently and thoroughly teach and makes it so easy to follow you. I'm currently making the beginner scarf and it's coming out very nice. A few problems with a bit of curling on the very first few rows and the sides could be a little straighter. But overall I think I'm doing a good job and I have you to thank. Please tell me how I can be notified of your tutorials that aren't free. I can't find the video you mentioned it in. Thank you again for your dedication to helping us newbies and not so new crocheter's. All the best to you!
