Congratulations on your running accomplishment! Your conversion to a red dress is stunning-you are very talented.
Thank you, I'm very pleased with how it turned out.
I think the fabric might be named London Fog.
Correct, I laughed when I found out what it was.
Love seeing your progress! I like that 1000 stitches on every piece goal!
Nice job on Deadly Aquarium SAL. I love the fabric and the gold conversion.
Thank you, I am in love with the fabric. It's such beautiful colour.
Greetings from British Columbia, Canada. I live near Vancouver. I’m getting back to working on cross stitch projects after 10 years of almost exclusively quilting.
Do you have any old WIPs that you'll be getting back to after all these years or will you coming with a fresh slate?
@@TheCrossStitchGuy yes I will be working on old projects and a few new ones. Winter Queen ( Mirabilia ) is from 2002 ( I am pretty sure.... ) I do have a cross stitch playlist on my channel.
I'm always impressed by your color conversion of Lily of the Woods! It looks amazing!
Thanks for commenting because this was how I found your channel. Loved your WIP parade! I'm happy that you are liking the Lily conversion. Still figuring her out as I go.
I think that blue fabric will be great. There’s a pattern called Moroccan lantern 🏮 they look like they are glowing. Might want to see how they did that. Then I would just highlight the dark blue with I thin line of white. That would make it pop. Great video.
Thanks for the tip and the suggestion! I will definitely take this into consideration.
a 2M stitch project! woah! so impressed :). Great progress on your wips
Now if I can one day ever finish that would be impressive.
I love it when the stitchy bug is strong! Congrats on your run and working on all of your WIPs this year! I love how you're working on the Indian Peacock by color. Also LOL on saying you never follow through on goals. I totally don't either, but for me too many goals turns my favorite hobby into a chore. Thanks for the shoutout! Oh, and that fabric is London Fog.
The stitchy bug was so strong for June!
I never follow through on my goals, which is why I liked your WIPGO board. It wasn't too specific.
Correct, the fabric is London Fog. I just couldn't read lol
Aww what a kind offer to bring stitchy stash over to UK. Sadly I'm around 400 miles from London, in the North East of England so can't benefit from your kindness but honestly that's one of the nicest offers, so kind of you. I'd go see the tower of London deffo and try some real ale in a traditional pub. Fish and chips is a must, as is a visit to one of the markets such as Brick Lane market. The V&A museum is also really good. Hope you have the best time and enjoy the show. Well done on the race 🏅
Thanks for the recommendations! I'm a sucker for fish and chips. I did manage to get some last time and will definitely try et some again.
Love your aquarium conversion and congrats on the race finish 🎉
Thank you! 😀
Congratulations on your race! Very impressive considering how hot and humid the Houston area is. Have fun in England!
Thank you!
I have 2 GeckoRouge kits. One has 99 colors and the other has 60 colors. I also work from a master set. Here is what I did. It was a lot of work, but in the end, so worth it. My master set is on bobbins so I bobbinated all of my kit flosses. As I was putting it on bobbins, I identified each color. There is a dmc color chart that has samples of all the flosses. It made it really easy to match up each color. I put both the GR number and the DMC number on the bobbin. Just FYI all of the flosses the GR gives you is in numeric order on the dmc chart. I know that sounds like too much work, but I'm really glad that I did it. I wound up changing fabric size on one of my pieces and now I don't have to worry about getting more floss when I run out. I hope this helps.
Thank you so much for this. I was able to identify a handful of colours, but now that I know this I'll need to go back and try again.
I love your Lily of the Woods conversion dress. Set manageable goals for you, not what others expect. I find it works for me. Enjoyed your video, and stitched while I watched/listened. To convert the flowers, put various floss colours onto the fabric and make a decision. You could use darker pinks, or yellows or lavenders, just as a suggestion. Cross stitching is not a competition, please enjoy it, which I think you do. I may just be over reacting to what you said. Sorry if that is the case. 😊
Lavender sounds nice! I have not given that colour option a thought yet.
Congrats on your race, Yoshi! OMG, I love the HP conversion of the snowmen patterns!!! I love how you commented on your growth since starting flosstube! I don't think a mid-year wip parade is really necessary - I prefer seeing 1 yr progress too.
Thank you! ☺
I have drastically changed as a stitcher and I cannot wait to see how I continue to evolve.
I have some big plans for the Snowman series I just need to spend some time to figure out how I want to execute that idea.
I do love watching WIP parades though.
Another great update! Such good progress on June!!! Omg I love all those boardwalk patterns you got! Can't wait to see them stitched! Can't wait to start Donner with you!
The boardwalk patterns are adorable. Individually they aren't that big. Can't wait to start Donner, Merry Christmas!
Congratulations on your race!🎉 love what you're stitching. I have a tiny start on Nightingale. Im going to use glow in the dark floss for the lamp.
Yay, another Nightingale stitcher!
I was thinking about using some light yellow and orange floss to produce the glow effect. I still have to work all that out. Problems for future me to solve whenever I get there 😅
Congrats on the run! 💜your stitching.
Thank you! Happy stitching to you.
Youll laugh when you go back and read that 2nd fabric name... conaidering youre going to the UK
Its London fog ;)
I loooove the blue fabric you showed
And great work on that run. Thats awesome
Was I that bad at reading the tags lol? I really thought the L was a T, which threw me completely off.
I decided to check out your channel when Andrew at The Runner Stitcher mentioned you and now I am following you too. :)
I appreciate the follow. Always happy to welcome in people from Andrew's channel.
Your making good headway on your projects. Keep up the work.
Congrats on your race! It would have taken me hours to do five miles and hell yes I would have walked almost all of it 🤣🤣🤣
I really like the colors on your Disney hero’s piece, they are so bright! Also still loving your Mira conversion! Congrats on getting more than a single more stitch on the gecko map piece, I’m surprised you even showed a before pic 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I’ve got a start on Nightingale! I don’t remember the exact color of her fabric but it’s also a dark blue, because I also thought of her walking the halls at night! Also I think that one piece you got is called London Fog 😃 it was kind of hard to read it on my phone but I know a lot of dyers do a grey and brown combo and call it London fog
Also I love the Harry Potter conversion idea for the snowmen! Tbh I thought the pirate one you would have done like Mad Eye Mooney because of the eyepatch 😂 and go ravenclaw! I consider myself half ravenclaw half slytherin 😂 ok I think….i think that’s it….ok byyyyyyyyeeeeee 😂
Jenn, love the long comment!
I've ran five miles many times, but on race day my body (including my thoughts) was acting like it never ran a day in it's life.
The Disney Hero piece is such a fun stitch with the colors they use. I had to show the embarrassing start. The single stitch will also make an appearance for the end of the year WIP parade so keep a lookout for him 🤣
I actually saw your Nightingale aka your first Mira. How are you enjoying the fancy ladies?
Yes, you are correct it is called London Fog. The tags were so hard to read. I believe I only got one of the four tags correct 😂I'll never attempt that again.
I haven't quite figured out all of the characters yet. The Farmer might even be Luna's father or Newt Scamander. Mrs Weasley is the only definite one as of now. I plan to start her first whenever the border is finished and a fabric is decided upon. Ravenclaws unite!
Now go finish your hedgehog. We want to see a finish or two for your upcoming video 😂 bye!
@@TheCrossStitchGuy little teaser for you, I have multiple finishes to show in the next one!! 🤪🤪
@@jennthecaffeinatedcrafter5679 can't wait to see the finishes!!!
