I’m with you-18ct aida is quickly becoming my preferred count. I really like the red conversion on Lily of the Woods ✨and I think George the 3rd is the piece I’m most excited to see progress on!👏🏻 Keep on
Local Needlework Shop = LNS
Love the update and all the progress! Maybe you should make Lilly a Monogomish May project haha. But there's no rush and her conversion is coming along so nicely. I love how yours looks! (LNS = Local Needlework Shop). I love the peacock piece! That will be fun to watch come together.
Thanks for the LNS clarification!
Maybe Lilly will be a monogamous peace towards the end of the year depending how much more work she will need 🤷
You are making great progress. It is fine to change fabric on a project to meet your needs/wants better. Another acronym is ONS, Online Needlework Store. Always fun to learn something new every day.
I visited Stitchers Paradise when I went to Vegas a few years ago. It is amazing. Still need to stitch the project I kitted up.
💜💜
Stitchers Paradise was amazing. What I found exciting were the group of ladies up front stitching away on their WIPs. That was probably my first time seeing other people cross stitch in person.
I love seeing your progress on your wips, especially your HAED's. I'm super impressed you can do full coverage without gridding. That is not one of my super powers. Good for you. Thank you for the advice on your Good Companion wip. I have the Cross Stitch for the Soul book and will make sure to pay attention to the patterns and look out for similar discrepancies. Thank you for that info.
The only reason I can do it without gridding is because I don't travel with my stitches.
If you do find any other discrepancies then please let me know. There are a few other ones that I would eventually love to stitch.
Hey Yoshi was nice seen your video love the progress of your projects. Going to stitchers paradise it can be overwhelming 🤭 but I do love going there, living in Vegas is nice having that LNS. Hope seen more of your videos 🤗
LNS= Local Needlework Shop
I've heard of that shop! I can't believe you got to go! If only my work had a reason for me to go to Vegas. 😂
I've been stitching and watching your videos this weekend. Lilly of the Woods (with all called for fabric/floss) is on my list for next year, so love watching your conversion progress!
I hope you will enjoy Lilly like I have. If you'd like to stitch my conversion, I will be happy to share that with you once I have that finalised.
P.S. Lilly has tremendously grown. I cannot wait to show her off for my next video.
@@TheCrossStitchGuy thank you! I already have her kitted up with the called for fabric and floss. Can't wait to see her update in your next video!
23:23 ….maybe summer by the cricket collection? I think that’s the same fabric. That’s going to look really good!
I actually saw one of your videos and you mentioned a fabric called Mystic, which is what I settled on. Little did you know, but you helped me.
@@TheCrossStitchGuy oh that’s great!! I’m excited to see how this project turns out!
Hi from a new subscriber from 🇨🇦. Loved seeing all your full coverage today! 16/18 count is my favourite. I am doing a full-coverage on 16 count right now and the stitches are laying REALLY nice. I’m older than you so my eyesight is a big consideration too 🤓 Looking forward to your next video and I hope your allergies calm down. I used to have them really bad, but mine got better over the years
My allergies have never been this bad so I'm hoping that this is just a one time thing. Thanks for tuning in and happy stitching!
Hi Yoshi! Another great video! Yes, I tend to fix little things in patterns too. Some stuff just sticks out and I can't help tweaking it. I've been told that once you wash a full coverage piece, the threads bloom a bit and the fabric doesn't show through as bad. But I haven't gotten that far on my own. I'm thinking of trying stitching a little swatch that I can wash and test. I switched to 28 count (from 25) on a few projects but now I'm second guessing myself. But I don't want to swatch when I could be stitching! LOL
Good to know about the washing. I don't have a completed project to throw into the wash. Maybe in a few years I will lol. Thanks for sharing info about this.
I don't mind tweaking a piece if needed. The only problem is that it takes time away from stitching. Some tweaks are easy fixes while others require some time and brain power.
Hi Yoshi - If you want to get a really nice Christmas red fabric, check Evertote up in Canada. The are hand dyed fabric and overdyed floss.
I appreciate the recommendation! I will definitely check them out.
Awesome job.
Aren't Needlework Shops amazing?! So happy you were able to go!
The pattern with all the Labs is sooooo precious 🙂 We are a lab mix family! So glad you found that!
Happy Stitching!
I have a lab mix as well. She is my first lab ever and she is such a great dog. Yes, needlework shops are amazing. I could easily lose track of time in one. Happy stitching!
So sorry. Distracted by tail wagging 💜💜💜
That Dimensions Peacock is so beautiful, I love when people stitch it.
Thanks for all of the lovely comments!
I've seen so many people with Indian Peacock. It's such a beautiful pattern.
Something to think about, when doing a dark background full coverage piece you might want to use a darker fabric. I now try to match my fabric color to the colors in my full coverage. It has helped with the fabric coming through. I only work on aida and I have full coverage projects on 14, 16, and 18. I am kitting up one to do on 20. Your pieces are looking really good.
I've done that for one of my projects. What would you do for a pattern that has some dark and light sections? Also do you have an Aida color that you prefer to go with?
I see some patterns recommending antique white Aida as opposed to white.
That's hard for one that is both dark and light. I never use white for my full coverages. I started using ivory for a lot of them. I used to get my aida at Hobby Lobby but they don't carry a lot of 18 or 16 anymore, so now I get it on Amazon. That is when I started getting colors that are similar. I am working on the fox from the HAED SAL and am using a brown fabric. I am loving the coverage. I am still working all this fabric out lol. I have been cross stitching off and on for 40 years. When I first started all I did was kits. I came back to it again a few years ago and discovered HAED and all the beautiful fabric. I now have over 100 WIPs. I love all the beautiful things we can make. I hope you find fabric choices that make you happy.😄
@@Nightfeare I too get my Aida from Amazon. The color of the Aida has never bothered me until I worked on Santa's Workshop. It was just so much white shining through. I was curious about the color of the fabric because it does have some light sections, especially with Santa in his outfit.
100 WIPs is crazy! I can't wait to get there one day. Sounds like heaven lol.
