The Dillon & Dutch handshake is how an infinitely stone was created.
The single most epic handshake to ever exist.
Surely someone has made an edit that cuts from the handquake to the jungle explosion.
@@Siresly I've seen a cut from the handshake to the destruction of Alderaan.
@@jakobholgersson4400 that’s hysterical lmao 😂
😂😂😂 great comment.
Jessie Ventura who plays Blaine ( the guy with the mini gun) would mess with Arnie during their down time. He’d find out what time Arnie was going to be in the gym, get there 10 minutes before him and splash water on his face so it looked like he was really sweating and would keep working out until Arnie left. The fact he thought Jessie was out working him in the gym would drive Arnie mental
i had heard arnie caught them all working out one night after bedtime
@weird, stories like this, told in interviews and commentaries for PREDATOR, have increased my appreciation of the film and its people. So great!
Arnie measured his biceps and lied to the other macho men whilst successfully convincing ventura to take a 10k bet that he had bigger muscles...ventura lost the bet lol
I don't think that Arnie was really worried about Jessie working out more than him because he knew from the wardrobe department that his muscles were bigger. The story that he tells in his autobiography is that he convinced the wardrobe department to lie to Jessie about whose muscles were bigger and encourage him to challenge Arnie to a measuring contest.
I heard that big injun was bending Arnold over at night.
What Billy was doing cutting his own chest was denying his enemy the privilege of drawing first blood. He knew he was going to die, so he chose to go out on his terms fighting, not running. That's why the Predator took Billy's spine and skull.
From the stories one hears, that actor was nuts and may well have actually cut himself had he been asked to.
@@Thane36425They had a bodyguard who followed him everywhere on set to prevent him doing anything stupid
Also isn't it considered a snub in Native American culture to deny your enemy drawing your blood? It's like saying "F.U. I beat you to it"
How cool is that?
Thanks, was gonna say...
Billy was facing his fate, he was refusing to run from death. You have to remember he already considered all of them dead men, he couldn't handle running anymore. He stopped, and faced his fear head on.
And also why the predator kept his spine as well.
And the self inflicted cut across the chest was to deny his enemy the honor of drawing first blood.
It was a great "hopeless" last stand maneuver. While it was a statement against his enemy, it was also a great ploy to try and give his team a chance to get some distance between them and the monster that was stalking them.
Back then, it was very strange yet new to see Arnold play a character who was outmatched and afraid. He usually went in guns blazing and could take on anyone. Here, he had to work for his victory and almost lost. Arnold even told the director, who did want him to win in a fight, that he was just a man who couldn't win against an alien with advanced technology.
It's not just Arnold, the entire first act is a subversion in that regard. This army of one-man-armies taking out an even bigger army. Like that was usually the finale in any other action movie. And all of that fire and muscle power is completely useless against the Predator. Dutch has to outsmart it and he only barely succeeds.
_"Back then, it was very strange yet new to see Arnold play a character who was outmatched and afraid. He usually went in guns blazing and could take on anyone."_
Not really, as Conan he was caught, beaten up and crucified at one point. Of course, he wasn't shaking in his boots but still.
Fun fact! The pilot in the helicopter at the end was the Predator actor out of costume.
Finding your channel has been a delight! I've actually gone and watched movies I've never seen so I can come back and watch you see it. Stay spooky!
Another fan fact, when the movie was going to be made the Predator looked way different and he was going to be played by Jean-Claude Van Damme.
There are a few scenes, really few, that is Van Damme inside the suit.
@@JustaGuy2.0 oh I didn't know that about Jean Claude! I know the original design was waaay different, like a big bug if I recall.
@@NecromancyWithExtraSteps Yeah, the reason why they had Kevin Peter Hall as the helicopter pilot at the end was because he came in at the last minute after JCVD left, he wore the really heavy and uncomfortable costume without complaint in atrocious conditions and was just such a gentleman throughout that the crew really wanted him to be in the film, without the costume.
@madthings, @Justaguy, and @Necromancy, I enjoyed reading your conversation.
@@madthing5738 And for the ones that don' know, Kevin Peter Hall also plays the Xenomorph in Alien and Harry in Harry and the Andersons.
He was the go to guy to play monsters and creatures, a sort of Doug Jones of old.
He died in 1991 from AIDS-related pneumonia due to a blood transfusion.
RIP
16:44 I always appreciate how Jessie Ventura ain't got time to bleed and when he dies all his wounds are cauterized
@steiner554 I'd like to think so but you never know. Either way it makes me laugh every time I think about it.
Has he got time to duck, though? 😅
"I ain't got time to bleed!" - Great line!
"You got time to duck?" - Great burn!
The funny thing was that was something he used to say in VietNam and that said out of reflex and just kept in.
All their deaths had some type of karma factor.
When Billy tossed his rifle and cut himself, it was basically a challenge. No guns, hand to hand, and he took the glory of drawing first blood from his enemy by doing it himself. It was really an awesome scene.
It was a common thing among some native american tribes to have warriors who cut themselves before a fight to show their strengh and prevent their opponent to draw the first blood, including Commanche tribes like the one in Prey
According to the (retcon) lore, Billy might be a distant descendant from Naru's tribe
Great challenge, but Predator doesn't care about that and attacks Billy from behind.
@@Veged4 Well, Billy was facing the Predator on the only path across, so I doubt the Pred hit him from behind. I like to think they did fight blade to blade, and that Billy gave it a good fight, but the outcome wasn't in doubt.
@@danieldickson8591 You are correct. I re-watched the scene from my old DVD and predator attacks Billy from front. But I could have sworn that last time I watched the movie Predator's view of Billy was from behind judging by in what hand Billy was holding machete.
Billy was stupid. Don't do what Billy did.
You're like a real life cartoon. You're amazing and enjoying the channel!
Fun Facts for Kat:
The Predators race(called Yautja in extended material)is all about honor. Those who prove themselves as worthy prey are taken as trophies(skulls). Unworthy or weak prey is flayed and left hung up(Jim Hoppers team)as an insult to them for providing a bad hunt.
The Yautja destroy themselves when they die, not only to regain their honor at failing, but it also prevents anyone from taking their technology.
"Honour"... more like their twisted, coward version of honour. If they really had it, they would pick only someone their size, *and* wouldn't wear camouflage *while* attacking from the back, *WHILE* attacking unaware beings that have little to no chance, even if he were standing fully visible and in front of them.
Yes I know, humans hunt for trophies too. But not sentient, intelligent beings.
You've never heard of whales? @pecm
@@2006gtobob I said *sentient*
@@pecmWhales and other animals are sentient. That's just the ability to react to things like sound, sight, and so on. You're thinking of sapient. And potentially, some of the higher order mammals besides humans are that as well. As to intelligence, we don't exactly define or care about that. We are against killing a 1 year old child, but there are many animals we kill that have greater intelligence than that. And we had plenty of warrior groups whose behavior includes trophy taking/keeping of defeated human foes.
That said, the predators have their own code, which is about hunting. And while hunting does mean the prey has the potential to escape or win the fight, the hunter usually has the advantages.
@@Axterix13
Yes, sapience, self-awareness. Some of us (and not just "we") may not care about killing intelligent life, but at least is forbidden (in many cases), and everyone knows it's wrong. Our societies deemed it wrong. Can you say the same about that warrior code-of-honor" invented race?
You complain about human flaws, but there you have the worst of the human flaws distilled on that race, but then it's honorable, "it's their way", because they're badass eh?" etc.
That's "noble savage" mentality, even though they surpass us technologically, they're still worse than caveman mentality (some say they really are that, and just stole their technology from another race).
And by the way, if they surpass us technologically, that's another point for their cowardice, because they have it easy on that front too.
Imagine if we went to planets ripping to shreds other races, smaller and physically way weaker than us, which didn't stop us from ripping of their spines and skulls with them still alive, while at the same time we attack them from the back, hide under cloak, just because they happen to have some spears and a few "pew-pews" that can barely do any damage to us...
And on the rare occasions they actually win over one of us, we activated a mini-nuclear bomb so nothing survives in a ~1Km radius, just because we're sore losers... Sorry, is that honorable? Would that be a warrior race guided by a code of honour? Would anyone root for that? Or on the contrary everyone would say "F*CK that race into oblivion" ?
When humans behave like that to other humans, those are our worse traits and instincts, and thankfully doesn't happen *that* often^, and certainly not because some "tradition" or "way of life". Unless you're from the bottom pit of evolution in a small, isolated island, that is.
"Oh but see, they're «hunting»..." screw that, you just don't hunt beings capable of civilizations, that has another name and it's not "hunting".
As for not killing babies but killing mammals that are smarter, 1st that is a small window before the human child actually gets smarter, 2nd very few mammals can be initially smarter, like some great apes and maybe dolphins (and some whales), *and 3rd,* killing a child, smarter or not than a whale, it's worse because you aren't only killing the child, your are eliminating forever the potential that that child/adult could have, way bigger than a whale at it's zenith of their smaller intelligence.
The joke-telling guy with glasses, Hawkins, is Shane Black. He wrote Lethal Weapon, Monster Squad, Last Action Hero, other films, and was uncredited for punching up the script for this film. Many films of my formative years.
Long Kiss Goodnight, Last Boy Scout... how can a guy with THIS MUCH merit shit the bed so hard with 2018 Predator. Funnily enough, not many entrys on his imdb after that.
@@tkopp10976 Yeah lets not mention that predator movie its the worst in the franchise for sure.

@@tkopp10976 He co-wrote and directed The Nice Guys, which I feel is an underseen gem of a movie.
36:43 It wasn't actually the Predator's laugh, it was playing back Billy's recorded laugh. Based on the social reactions he observed, he knew this was the right moment to "laugh". This also shows how intelligent the Yautja race ("Predator") is.
I watched a reaction yesterday where the idiots think it was just mimicking sounds like a parrot. One guy actually typed a paragraph about how Arnold’s true plan was to crush the predator with the counterweight and not kill him with the spikes, then he didn’t understand him “checking his finger nails” was toying with him because he remembered to net from earlier that he fell for. 😂
@@dicezart9667 "also shows" 😉
@dicezart9667 yeah, we're surrounded by people who can't do critical thinking. Monkey see, monkey do.
@@dicezart9667 did you say technology doesn’t make them intelligent? The fkn thing arrived on a space ship. Mastering interstellar travel might be a little clue 🤔
@@SkankHunt42O I would take the line "Because all that technology isn't a reason to think they're intelligent." like just a sarcastic joke.
11:14 I was lucky enough to visit the Predator filming location back in 2015. It's now a zip-line tourist attraction called Canopy El Eden, just outside of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The large section of the enemy base camp seen at 8:30 is now a restaurant next to the river. They even have a life-sized statue of the Predator there!
I wasn’t lucky enough to see filming, but I’ve been down to Puerto Vallarta a few times. El Eden is always a must-visit. It’s been 20 years since I was last there, but the helicopter was still up in the trees.
Ok now I want to go!
That thing in the corner of her room is scarier than the Predator.
The movie was filmed in Mexico near Puerto Vallarta. You can visit the area it's a whole tourist attraction now full of Predator souvenirs. Kinda cool
That sinister doll in the corner. Couldn't take eyes from it. You're very brave to keep it inside your room at night
“Cause the situation might already be very hairy” Kats dad joke game is so on point! That one got me good!! 😂
The silence afterward was so loud

Lee Marvin and Robert Mitchum came out of their graves.

90 percent of the reaction is Katt flexing in the movie 💪🏼
I mean, Arnold is pure testosterone lol
I saw this and Robocop in a double header when I was 12... The best double header action movie matinee ever...

AWESOME Reaction!
"What is this move?"... For Native Warriors, Drawing First Blood is an Honor. By Billy Cutting himself, he's denying his opponent that honor... the ultimate "F-YOU".
The Predator shot Dutch's Rifle instead of a body shot, as he wanted to hunt him "Face to Face".
And the Predator's laugh at the end was him mimicking Billy's laugh from Earlier.
Adding yourself into the end credits was epic lmao
Although the credit should have read "Kat....Herself".
"I will bend the trees..TO MY WILL!!!!" Love it. Another great episode Kat. If you liked this, Aliens is great also. Week 7 asking for Fright Night (1985)
Question: How are any of us sure, Kat isn't actually a cartoon character, that has escaped somehow, into our world?
You read my mind
How about you mind your own business, huh?
No one needs to have an accident over this, right?
Agreed. Jessica Rabbit, years later...
@@frommymind4639 I think she resembles a different Jessica. Young Jessica Chastain.
Because she's too real.
"I'm going to the gym right after this!!" Best line! Great reaction!!
This movie was lightning in a bottle. Iirc, Dutch was originally going to defeat the Predator in 1 on 1 combat, but Arnold said that didnt make sense and so they rewrote and greatly expanded the ending, giving us a much better conclusion. Goes to show, there's more to Arnold than just his muscles.
One of my favorite things in the world is that cheesy SNL style credit sequence where everyone is "acting natural" and then someone turns to the camera and smiles. lol
'Police Squad'
the only missing pièce de résistance would have been if they had included the predator as well
It's been a while since I heard the director's commentary, but I think John McTiernan said he did it as a throwback to old war movies, like a "curtain call." That was an interesting commentary track. The first scene, he exclaims, "Wow! I haven't seen this since 1987."
This was filmed in Mismaloya Mexico.
Filming conditions were terrible. The days were humid and the nights were frigid. The night shoots where Arnold is cover in mudd were so uncomfortable his body temperature would drop several degrees. He would shiver non-stop. They tried keeping Arnold warm between takes with heatlamps but he was still cold and the clay used as the mudd would dry up. He tried drinking jagertee, a schnapps mixture, but it only got Arnold drunk.
Alcohol accelerates hypothermia. You'd think that at least one person in the entire set knew that... 🙄
@zoltanposfai3451 tell that to the chef that survived the titanic waters because he was so intoxicated that he didn't freeze
Hello! A few details I feel like I can clear up!
13:35
Pretty sure those are his guts.
Basically, the Predator removed his organs VERY quickly, then hauled him off to the trees, now much lighter and ready to be... uhh... de-boned.
18:20
Hungry, no, proud, yes. It wanted the trophy it rightfully earned. Probably spooked the warthog into the traps as a distraction.
Far as I know, the Predator probably eats lesser prey, but will, in a pinch, eat humans.
In a jungle, the Pred is spoiled for choice in what to eat, so I doubt it eats any of the humans it kills.
21:10
It's not flying, it's just VERY acrobatic and athletic.
29:35
Trap or not, I doubt any Predator would turn down what is very obviously a challenge.
31:28
Actually, the Predator kinda got Arnie here. It quickly recognized that IT is being hunted, so left a blood trail into a narrow space, then circled back around on its own path to try to get the drop on Arnie. However, it still hasn't pieced together that Arnie has figured out how it sees and is counteracting that, so all it can do is fire blind.
32:40
Halfway there. Arnie is clearly an exceptional 'specimen' to have been able to get the drop on the Pred so many times in succession, so it was taking a chance to examine him, and then decided to fight him hand-to-hand, because he had earned such respect. Had it killed Arnie, his skull would have taken a high place on its mantle, with a long story to go along with how this one particular human ALMOST managed to turn the tables on it.
36:18
Always loved how it repeats his own phrase back to it; "What the hell are you?", as if the Predator itself cannot fathom that a mere human was able to get the best of it so consistently in a single hunt. Then, of course, enacts the usual failsafe; to prevent unintended technology getting into primitive hands, it annihilates itself.
a few?
For the last one I think the predator is just mimicking Dutch.
@@jollygoodfellow3957 no... hrs correct. The predator was asking Arnold WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU... as in no human has ever been able to put up such a fight and even kill him
This was such a funny, smart, and entertaining reaction. The "end credit" was fricking hilarious.
I still think one of the best stories is that Arnold and Jesse had a bet whos biceps were bigger during the filming, and Arnold won because he convinced costume design to lie to Jesse about his measurements.
Arnold was a genius when it came to psychological warfare; my favourite anecdote is how he basically conned Stallone into doing Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot by lying through his agent about how interested he was in the script, which made Stallone desperate to get the movie himself. And then he figured out it was dogshit.
Several of the guys had it in their contracts about how much screen time their muscles would get. So ridiculous lol
what about the one where shortly after they started shooting the movie, two bodyguards had to always be at the side of the guy who played billy... to protect the rest of the cast and crew from his violent roid rage outbursts....
I love how Jesse improvised the line: “I ain’t got time to bleed”…Fun Fact: Jean Claude Van Dam was originally cast as the predator.

Ahhhh. The classic. A movie so many more are measured by. One of my favorites. They don't make them like this anymore. Seamless transition from action movie to action horror.
I’m convinced that this film could only happen in the window of the last few years of the 80’s. Any other era and it would’ve been spoiled. But as it is, for me, it’s in the absolute top echelon of action sci cinema and one of the few that still holds up almost perfectly today.
They couldn't make one like this today if they tried 😑

Predator 2 is an interesting sequel, as it does not just rehash the first movie.

I say it's actually quite a feature actually.
besides watching avp requiem only after avp of course... but that's a special case.
To me Predator 2 and Prey are the sequels worth watching. The others, not so much.
Predator, Predator 2 and Prey are the only ones I'd really class as "monster movies" too.
I actually enjoyed Predators but it's a different vibe to 1, 2 and Prey

What people seem to always miss is that the predator doesn’t shoot Dutch, he blasts the other idle in his hands. At best Dutch took some shrapnel and maybe some burns

The predominant instrument prior to the opening credits are trumpets. But ALL of us appreciate your effort.
The black helicopter pilot at the end of the movie is Kevin Peter Hall. He portrayed the Yautja creature in both this movie as well as playing the city hunter in Predator 2. Predator 2 would sadly be one of his last roles as he passed away in 1991 at the age of 35 as a result of AIDS related pneumonia a month short of his 36th birthday.
Mack losing his shit at 15:26 was always my favorite part. You should now add that ending credit scene to each video!! 😆 🤣 😆
fun fact the guy who saves Arnold in the CHOPPA at the end is the guy in the predator suit. I think they felt bad his face didn't get screen time.
The instrument was a brass section of an orchestra, most likely accompanied by strings.
33:40 "He wants to fight him without weapons because he's smart."
Probably not.
The predator examined Arnold's skull to decide if it's a good trophy or not.
Then he undressed partly because his future/alien tech/magic was broken and weighing him down, and partly to make the fight more interesting.
This is basically two tough guys trying to prove which one is more macho, except that one of the guys is an alien. Same idea though.
This predator plans to fight Arnold, kill him, and mount this magnificent skull above his alien fireplace as his favorite trophy.
When he invites all his predator friends to come over for predator poker night, every week, he'll tell the same story about that one tough human who was so hard to kill, and all his friends will be sick of the story, but he'll still tell it every week.
Even when he's in the Old Predator Retirement Home, eating his mashed alien potatoes and alien jello, he'll be telling the other old predators all about this one time, on earth, this one human was really hard to kill...
That's his plan.
I absolutely love your sense of humor & sarcasm. 🙂
It was a trumpet not a trombone for the MGM intro. It's not random that a bunch of good looking built dudes are on the same chopper. They are his team. The helicopter makes no sound if you use a drop zone miles from your target like they did here. The more ammo you use, the less you have to carry. Arnie's muscles wasnt the reason the lightning shot didnt kill him, it was because it hit his gun instead of him. The alien wasnt using his own laugh, it was a mimic.
Yeah, Kat believing it was his own laugh was kinda disappointing. I mean, come on, girl.

36:08 It's nice to know some people realise that Dutch feels bad for the Predator: a lot of people reacting to this movie either ask why he's hesitating or just want him to kill it; then there's that one dumbass I've encountered who got it completely wrong, and believes the reason he doesn't kill it is because he wanted it to suffer for killing the rest of his unit.
Its not so much that he feels bad for it, its just that its unsporting to butcher an already mortally wounded enemy, unless you're above to give them a quick clean death. He's returning the honor code to it as an opponent.
@@tenjenk Well yes, that too. Certainly he has mixed feelings about the situation, but there’s delta part where he does feel sorry for it, the bittersweet music and the part where it coughs up blood are meant to make us the audience feel sorry for it, and if you look carefully his expression does soften slightly suggest less hatred, but still a certain degree of weariness.
I just discovered your channel a couple days ago and you’re already one of my favorite movie reactors. Keep up the awesome work!
Fun fact, the late Kevin Peter Hall, who played the Predator, is the chopper pilot that rescues Dutch and Anna. I liked you little "and one more" at the end :D The late great, Stan Winston, did the creature f/x , also did THE TERMINATOR flicks w/Arnie - a perfect blend of '80s action and horror sci-fi.
And a shout-out to the legendary voice actor Peter Cullen, as the "voice" (crackle) of the Predator!
Absolutely love your reactions Kat! You are one of the funniest, sweetest, and most lovable reactors out there.
It’s further explained in subsequent films and books that the Predators, also known as the Yautja, are an alien race of trophy hunters. They hunt for sport, for honor, and as a rite of passage. The Yautja class is based on a ranking system in which the best and most experienced hunters hold the greatest positions of leadership and influence. The hunt is considered a sacred part of their culture. They travel across galaxies in order to hunt the most dangerous lifeforms, and they collect skulls as trophies from their most worthy opponents. They will often skin victims considered easy prey and leave them behind to intimidate other potential victims. Even though the Predators are fierce and brutal hunters, they also have a code of honor that is part of their warrior culture. They have been shown to refuse killing children and pregnant women as they are innocent. They also will not target prey that doesn’t pose a significant threat or challenge to them, which is why the Predator didn’t try to kill Anna as she was unarmed. If the prey is considered a great prize like Dutch, the Predator will not use its most advanced weaponry and technology. This is meant to even the odds so that the prey will have a fighting chance in an honorable one-on-one duel. It’s a sign of respect for a worthy opponent. You two should totally watch Predator 2 (1990). It’s a great sequel staring Danny Glover set in Los Angeles, and it reveals how long the Predators have been coming to hunt on Earth.
They filmed in Mexico. During the Cold War in the 1980s, the Soviet Union and its allies provided military aid to Communist Insurgents and regimes in Latin America while the United States and its allies provided military aid to anti-Communist insurgents and regimes. This serves as a backdrop to the story as Dillion uses Dutch and his team to eliminate an Insurgent base and its Soviet military advisers.
As for the mud-coat, they tried testing this in Mythbusters. The mud would have to very thick and cold. It might provide Dutch with some protection for a short time, but it’s unlikely to drop his body temperature long enough to match his surroundings.
Thank you again Kat! Take care! ✌🏼
@Daniel, I am glad I read all of that. You've provided a great wealth of background and historical information.
Great info, Daniel! Thanks for sharing!!! Yeah…after watching Predator 2, she should then go right to Prey!!! May God bless you & your beloved!!!🥰
One of the best informative comments that no way spoiled any future content and, I think, gave some compelling relevant context! I appreciate this delicate balance! As for the mud, how about this theory, maybe the Predator appreciated this ingenuous effort....
I am mesmerized by your quips and personality
The explosions in this movie are absolutely ridiculous. I love every single second.
29:00 Arnold wore the same Seiko H558 dive watch in another ‘80 action classic Commando (1985). Since then many in the watch community refer to this model and it’s new reissue (SNJ025) as The Seiko Arnie
You probably thought the "situation might be very hairy" joke was too cheesy after you said it, but it was enough to make me instantly subscribe.
I swear Kat is the best...at what I have no idea 😆
Another great reaction as always. I love that you credited yourself in the video.
Reaction gold!!
They have to assume that there will be tripping wires, and, so, cannot proceed without being sure, yard-by-yard.
I don't know if anyone mentioned it but the one helicopter pilot when they rescue Dutch is Kevin Peter Hall who played the Predator
I can only repeat myself: It is always so much fun to watch your reactions! And by the way, nice muscles already, Kat! LOL
I SEE YOU SPACEBEARSVEN!!! Always here with kind comments on my videos-thank you for STICKING AROUND with me for so long!! I appreciate you!! AND THANK YOU FOR ACKNOWLEDGING MY BIG MUSCLES!!! HEHE YAA!! KAT:D
@@KatWatchesHorror Kat, I have to thank YOU for your very kind response, I appreciate it very much! Your videos deserve nothing but friendly comments, because you put everything in your reactions. Meaning that there are movie reactors who are either nice, funny, friendly or entertaining, but you combine all those things in one! This fact makes you and your reactions extra special and I like that very much! Have a wonderful day and see you on next Kat-Day! ;-)
By the way, I didn't say that your muscles were "big", I said that they are "nice" - but nice is much better, in my opinion. All the best to you!
Total agreement 🤖👍
Your humor is just something else...I love your reactions!! 😅
Damm.. you should have watched this movie in the jungle... miss oportunity but, Great reaction!
Careful. One of these days she's gonna decide it'd be a good idea to watch a movie like "The Tunnel" under an actual seedy underpass and then stop uploading all of a sudden...
Seriously, you’re reacting but you’re comedic timing and creativity is what we’re here for 😊
Having worked in a hospital and can recognise surgical instruments, I always find it funny that the Predator carries an umbilical cord cutter in it's little kit.
Even Predators have to pay the bills when one job won't do...
Good reaction as always, Kat. Btw, one of the interestingly remarkable things about this action movie is the fact that 'Predator' ironically had not just one, but TWO future US governors --- Arnold, who became governor of California in 2003, and Jesse Ventura, who became the governor of Minnesota in 1999. Former Governor Jesse Ventura is the guy who upon being told he was shot, replied with, "I ain't got time to bleed'. And also there was a 3rd guy in this movie who ran for governor as well...lol
Also, the same guy (former governor Jesse Ventura) with the crazy huge machine gun, was a former professional wrestler in the 1980s, AND before that, he was also a former US Navy Seal...so, he actually had real-world experience in these types of secret US special forces missions worldwide in real life...missions that are mostly still classified as Top Secret to this very day.
You are a naturally funny woman Kat! Great reactions I'm enjoying your work
Never seen your reactions, but I laughed way too hard at the "hairy" joke to not follow. 😂😂
Fun fact #2: in Predator 2, the skull of a Xenomorph (the monsters from the "Alien" franchise) was seen mounted on the wall in a Predator's ship. This led to the "Alien vs. Predator" comic books and movie.
Jean Claude Van Damme originally portrayed the alien creature but was replaced by experience creature actor, Kevin Peter Hall. EFX artists used Van Damme’s early footage to develop the Predator’s cloaking device.
I never got why Van Damme. He's like 5'10, pretty average height. The Predator was supposed to be huge. Which is why Kevin Peter Hall made sense.
@@SCharlesDennicon This is, in fact, why Van Damme was replaced. The original idea was that he would have a martial arts fight with Arnie. But then they saw what he looked like next to a seven time Mr. Olympia winner.
@@SCharlesDenniconThe creature Van Damme played was completely different to the one Kevin Peter Hall played.
Van Damme's alien was more of a hunched over, insect-like creature that shot some sort of weird propeller boomerang.
They weren't happy with how the creature looked and production was halted until it was completely redesigned by Stan Winston.
There should be two 0's tacked on to the end of your subscriber count. You're a semi-hidden gem.
I've never laughed so hard watching this movie. hahahahaha
KAT YOU ARE THE UNDISPUTED CHAMPION OF THE WORLD HOLY SHIT BEST EVER
Fun fact: Bill Duke (Mac, who cuts himself shaving) directed Sister Act 2, which puts Predator two degrees of separation away from Hocus Pocus, through Kathy Najimy.
...I guess that's two fun facts.
"Predator 2"
That was dope as hell too.
The 'Alien,' 'Terminator,' and 'Predator' series began with two great movies & all the sequels thereafter stank to high heaven. And they all had Bill Paxton in them to boot!
