He made the right decison. Won the league with Inter and the Carabao with United. Spurs still haven't won anything.

@@London666_UK No fun football since sir alex. Should have been an easy decision
I disagree, he lost the league cup final & champions league final with Spurs, can’t blame the club for not winning trophies… in my opinion he should’ve left Spurs probably 2/3 years before he did & joined Barca who were interested, or another top club… & that’s coming from a Spurs fan
How much Mourinho actually said really spoke volumes about the level of influence he had at the club. It was really all Levy.
If you think talking is the only way to exert influence you will never be successful
9am and you're on the internet telling random people they won't be successful...time to get a job and get off mum's couch Stevey🤣
Mourinho never wanted Eriksen, he didn't play him, that's why he wasn't trying to keep him

You can see Christian is having non of Levy's bullshit, it's obvious he's used to it at this point.
Nah it's just business. And you would try to convince any talented footballer to stay
@@wukongsun6223 They're talking about 20 million for a player that's about to leave for free in 2-3 months. The reason Christian is annoyed is that Levy rejected 45 million from Inter trying to negotiate higher fee which is insane for (basically) a free agent, and espacially after having promised Eriksen he'd let him go, and then Inter was ready to pull out and after Eriksen's agent begged him to come back Levy was still trying to get extra money. So by this point in conversation Levy had already fked him over 2-3 times in that negotiation and Eriksen refused to meet with him without Jose being present. Eriksen cornered him with the crew and Jose to make him accept the deal on camera. That being said Levy is an exceptional businessman, there's no denying that, he's just prioritising money over the relationships within the team.
@@brettervonkanada6102 I get all that but if I'm Levy, I'd be doing exactly that
You try to get as much as you can for a player and as much usage out of that player
He's got six months remaining so all power is quickly shifting to the player at this point and Levy knows that the best deal is now set at £20mill
Also everything on camera isn't official. Both clubs, agents need to talk and all that is done privately
It was all fake and rehearsed. It wasn’t real lol.

You can see from this interaction thst managers at Spurs don't have much input on who stays or leaves. It's all Levy.
It has to be. Because the owner sees all of the finances. How will the coach know what the players is worth in transfer fees? He won't
@@nofurtherwest3474 No, that's called Micro Managing. That's what sporting directors and the manager are for. The owner should not be having this type of say.
@@femiosusa510 yes he should. because he knows what they can afford in transfer fees. so he has to be involved. #business
@@nofurtherwest3474 no it is not, that should be the job for Football Directors, Liverpool and Man City have it, and so does with Arsenal, that's why they won trophies, CEO/President/Owner only set the transfer budget, Sporting directors, scouts, and manager are the deciding factors on players transfer. you clearly clueless on the matter and you talk like you know it, LOL, that's embarrassing
@@SongofIceandTea nope the way it works is when you're at the top you get to do what you want. capiche?
Eriksen at spurs was one of the most underrated players. He was amazing and he was one of the best midfielders back then. Such a great guy. But we had to wait 3-4 years to finally get his replacement
If he had stayed I believe he’s up there with de bruyne
Not underrated by fans, there were probably two seasons he was the most influential & important player for Spurs & more so than Kane, Lloris, Super Jan or anyone. Alas he never showed up at the Champions League Final, Kane had been injured thereby had an excuse (never should have started, Poch's lovechild!).
@@jayj6325 Maybe not underrated by spurs fans, but he is underrated by the football world
@@Celticcross67 hahahaha no.
You haven't replaced him and Mousa Dembele. And I love it😂😂😂
Levy and Mourinho are actually very clever and very intentional in this scene. Levy giving the player his valuation and warning the player he won’t be sold if Inter don’t match it, knowing Eriksen and his camp will lean on Inter to get a deal done. Mourinho praising his continued professionalism to set expectations and encourage him to continue playing at a high level if negotiations drag on. They should teach this scene in business schools
This whole thing was basically to say to the fans...look,we trying really hard here...do you see...look,we really mean it...watch me mean it here now in this we bit coming up....see see, that's me
Its all acting from all three, they would never have cameras in recording these conversations for the first time
good cop bad cop basically
It was just Levy setting it up to say we don’t want to sell you, if you genuinely want to go tell your agent it’s £20 mil, so the offer comes in for that… if Levy asks directly for that price it looks like he brokered the deal
This is avg
20mil for prime eriksen was just bargain

A few people talking about how this interaction shows Levy has much more control in Tottenham than managers but all this shows me is the different roles they have. Negotiating for the club is Levy’s job, not the managers. Jose’s just being a professional, knows this is not his conversation to take over.
I agree. I had no problem Levy talking to players who are contractually obligated to play for the club
Jose can't use the language that Levy uses when it comes to business valuation of players
He's not going to know how much Erickson is worth or his contract details
This was critical as he only had 6months left on his contract
Everybody wants to come to inter 🤣
Gutted how it ended with eriksen - glad he’s still playing somewhere. Such a graceful player

His face looks so sour. Glad he left Spurs and won trophies with Inter and United
Look at his body language. This is purely academic from the club and Erikson knows it
Its the *well we have to try eh*
Jose playing 4D chess by instilling the notion of professionalism within this circumstance on the off chance the deal didn't go through and Eriksen still had to play for Spurs. Jose needed him onside to perform for the team.
Yes smart word choice by him

WHY do people do it ?
Kane and Son should have done this, they were too loyal
Never seen mourinho so quiet considering the situation
Thank you Christian for that freekick goal against Milan :)
if a player wants to leave let him simple
not how it works at all.
There's a contract signed by both parties with the intent of protecting both of them.
Imagine signing a five year contract and then after a year going to your employer and stating I want to leave, let me go
Employer "you got four years left on your contract"
Player "that's a lot of compensation you owe me then"
Employer "so you want us to transfer list you (fire you) so you can be paid £48mill in wages (not including bonuses)
Player "Yeah, yeah that's mathematically correct"
Employer "how about you just quit"
Player "Mathematically I won't get £48mill"
No ofcourse it isn't that simple, there's money involved and that complicates things
Eriksen made it clear the move wasn’t financial. Levy hears what he wants, players leave to win trophies
Is that Julian from aftv who’s making all the transfers
Weird how the comments seem to imply that he left Spurs for United. He went to Inter, played a few games, not as much as he would have liked, then Brentford and then he wanted to go back to Spurs who were in CL at the time United weren't. Spurs decided against it and now he is now a bit-par player at United. Still can't get a corner beyond the first man. Saw one of his last games for Spurs with crowd shouting that he can't get the corner past the first man. 4 years on Spurs thrash United, Eriksen 2 corners straight don't go past the first man. He would have not made us any better had he stayed or re-signed after Brentford was in decline a year or so before he left for Inter.
He left and won trophies though, he's had a more successful career than he would have staying at Spurs.
He left and won title with Inter 😄🤣😂
And joined United and won a title again. Now ETH is wasting his talent putting him in nr 8 position instead of 10 where Bruno is so bad.

He would not be the guy to talk about it, but I would think he must have lost something for the club when the leadership declared support for Kanes complaint against him being given that one goal....Its like going out and say loud and clearly: "Kane is far more important to us than you", when they could have just said nothing (and what an absurd type of complaint to begin with!)
This is prremium quality content wow
soo spurs sell this clip to Amazon? I don't think any internal conversations should go online.
7 pounds 25 for Zinchenko. I would let him go.
Interesting interview, just shows you how difficult these transfers actually are, basically if you sign a contract with a club, you are then at the mercy of that club, even if you want to force a move, you can't as they will just drop you and put you with reserves if you dig your heels in.
he’s won 3 trophies since leaving, wow.
Jose the invisible man in the room
Ive never been in a room where someone says 20 m isn't alot of money
20million for Eriksen is a bargain.
it's not, he only had 6 months left on his contract at that moment. In 6 months they lost him for free. 20 million for a player in those circumstances is A LOT. Levy is just negotiating a highest fee (and he got 27 million at the end I think), and perhaps trying to kill the operation because it's a lot of money for Inter (and for almost every team in Europe) to pay that sum of money for a player in those circumstances. It's so complicated to understand that finances outside Premier are different?.
With 6 months left on his contract? That was a big fee given the circumstances
why is tom hardy narrating it lol

So you're saying he asked to LEAVE Spurs? God I hate this trend in headlines so very much.
Remember Eriksons last name Is not spurs so he won't stay there until he gets bold like son
Spurs were in free fall that summer..players were aging out, Mourinho upset the player first mentality of Pochettino, many players got loaned out, sold, dropped..his style of play and training was completely different...and he's just an a$$..Eriksen wanted out. Smart move. Levy is just doing his job, squeezing every dollar he could get out of Inter. It was a sad ending to one of Spur's brightest players of that era. No different than Modric. At least Erickson, showed up to train. Mourinho knows he has no say here and probably as a coach has figured this player won't be around much longer. He's already plotting plan B...killing Winks/Dele career and bringing in his own transfers Lo Celso and Ndombele(LOL).
