But he is definitely a player that when their head is in the right place and they feel good they can elevate their game and pull off some audacious skills. In his early days he had the knack of getting himself in the right place at exactly the right time and wasn’t afraid to to try things and that’s what made him so good. You don’t score a goal like the one he scored against Palace by luck, that was a moment of Gazza style vision, improvisation, and skill.

Moving to Besiktas is not the end of the world. Last year in Champions League Besiktas had 10 injuries per game, only the goal keeper was from the first team. The rest was useless rotation players and u-21 kids. C'mon guys, Besiktas is a beautiful team from a beautiful city and they have the best stadium ever! It's of course a fall after Spurs and Everton but not the end of the world.
