Sure, try climbing any HC ladder on console. This is a mouse and keyboard game, any console port is just for super casuals. It's not about graphics, it's about gameplay.
I like playing on Switch cause pretty much everyone I've met so far is an adult. I own it for every console, including 360 and PC and I prefer console over PC due to the controls and I think the Switch is the best console to play it on.
If it wasn't for the switch port my GF would never have gotten into it. We both play on the same console together and it's extremely fun. I have D3 on PC as well, but I don't even play it on there anymore because of the controller support and ability to play offline and coop for the switch.
exactly. I played Dablo I on PS1 that way, snug on my couch with my gamepad and friends in coop. I played the second one on PC with keyboard and mouse, and despite being the best game in the franchise, I always missed the experience I had with the first one. I bought Diablo 3 for PC and the same day I asked for a refund when I found out that there was no support for gamepad, local coop or even offline mode. Today I play with friends on YUZU with simultaneous local and online coop, with a gamepad, on my couch in 4k. Best gaming experience ever.
I cannot believe you didn’t mention that Neph Glory system also means monsters are more tanky. You can test it rather easily by creating lvl 1 characters, ramping up the difficulty to, say, t1 and testing how many shots do monsters take to die on PC/console. Next, targeting is a huge issue. Inability to target invalidates some builds for console if they require, say, not throwing your abilities onto the closest monster or blink/dash through monsters. There are also other mechanical differences too, which could be interesting for this comparison, but those are very technical.
I literally bought both today. Lmao my dumb ass thought the characters was interchangeable between systems? Idk dumb but thought since they are both connected to battle net.
When playing couch co-op with my daughter on switch, we can share all drops including crafted items. A big drawback is the teleporting to each other when we get more than half a screen away from each other sometimes pulling the other player into molten etc. Otherwise switch is great family fun even though I am a hardcore pc player since D3 release.

The console D3 port was amazing when it was made for PS3, XBox 360 back in the day. But nowadays, it is very outdated. And even without that, a lot of corners they cut on the UI have better solutions currently. The switch version is perfect for an anti-social grouch like me that prefers mostly single player offline experiences nowadays.
