My step father said, "Check this game out," and handed me the manual to Diablo 2. I was 12 and it actually helped give me more courage as I got to actually kill the scary demons. I also got to see Andariel's fun-bags, that was fun.
Yea it was a really dark adventure than and I was 11.. I had fun playing with my friend online but once he logged off I felt so alone in this dark ass game but I had to push on to lvl up and get better items... Good Times
Diablo fans: "We want D4, it's been so long!" Blizzard: "So, like... D3 on Switch? How about a Netflix series instead? That's basically the same thing."
They are currently working on D4. You can make out as much if you read their post for Diablo at BlizzCon. Something along the lines of: "We all know what you guys want, and we can't wait to tell you about those... when we're ready. We can only say that patience will be rewarded."
Pretty much. But good for the Switch ppl I guess, they literally have like 3 good games on that system lol. They need every title they can get. Even a subpar/disappointing experience like Diablo 3. Bring on D4.
It's okay, but gets super repetitive after you've tried all the classes.. Good action though. But will never hold a candle to D2 in terms of fun, and character customizations/skill trees... It's too bad they never released a D2 remaster. Shame really. D3 is a shadow of what D2 was. But like I said, D3 can still be enjoyable.
Did you get any footage of the game being played in a high-level Greater Rift? Because from what I've seen in the video, it's entirely low-level gameplay, which has a much lower enemy density than the end-game. Mid-High level greater rifts (80+) typically have a far larger density of enemies, and far more spell effects and magic is being used. I'm not saying that the game WILL struggle to be run on the switch in the high-end rifts, I'm simply asking if it was tested. Because the two situations really are night and day, and otherwise "the game runs at 60 fps all the time" is a misleading statement.
Having this in handheld completely changed the experience for me. Even if you’ve put hundreds of hours in on PS or Xbox, it’s worth it simply for the fact that you can play in handheld. Since Diablo is centered around grinding, the switch is perfect for mindlessly running through GR’s and doing events. Having this and D2R on switch have kept me busy for years.
Don’t feel too bad. I don’t know exactly when you typed this comment, but it’s 9/19/20 now and the game is still going for almost $50 on Amazon. That’s one thing I like about physical copies of Switch games; they hold their value.
I’m playing Diablo for the first time on switch, I’ve always wanted to try it as I love grindy games with lots of loot and I must say I’m having a blast
It's mainly because Skyrim on the Switch didn't even allow mods, which meant you can't rely on the community to fix all the shit Bethesda still wont in their 6 year old game. I would never play an Elder Scrolls without mod support, it's a broken game without them.
can't find the video anymore so I guess he took it down because he does no longer agree with its message...or it got claimed by bethesda. Either way I am sure he had his reasons for disliking it at the time. Skill Up comes of as a very honest, neutral guy that rationally explains his impressions. Played it for the first time today on Switch. I bought my friend a copy who lives crosscountry for her bday. We're having a blast trying to figure out the ins and outs of the game! Hopefully we made the right choice to play the current season first.

It was released a year after Dark Souls and From Software still gave us a Sub par Port. Blizzard shows what is possible if you actually care about your Game.
Skill up I think it's a bit of a bold thing to state that the game doesn't drop frames when all the gameplay you are showing is like the campaign/bounties being played solo. The issue with frame drops in Diablo was never because of how many units were on screen it was with how many attack calculations were happening at a time, which is usually only a problem in high GR rifts with multiple players but it gets so bad that even the best most high end PCs will drop frames like crazy.
Hey man, I know you just got a new set up but just a real quick tip on lighting: try making the light on your face less even, i.e. make one light brighter than the other so that the light on your face doesn't look as flat. A backlight of some sort will really help you out as well.
Too bad I don't own a Switch :'( I think Diablo 3 is the perfect game for people who are using the Switch as a timekiller for a bus ride or a plane ride, especially with the offline mode. Just hop in, spam attacks at mobs for 30 mins to an hour, and have fun! Don't have to worry about the grind, meta, or leaderboards, etc, just enjoy the waveclear fiesta without having to think too much :D
This started on the 360 and PS3, that port was a miracle, that's where the magic of the UI and the brilliant controller support started. And LOCAL CO-OP! OMG playing this on the couch with my wife was amazing.

Diablo is one of my favourite franchises and I have played Diablo 3 so much especially recently after I returned to it. Now do I but it again for switch??!
I won't have any regrets picking this up for the third time. Just for the portability and to grind it out all over again. This game is still fun to me, personally.
Still real salty that Blizzard said they wouldn’t even try to add WASD support to D3 on PC because it would not work at all, and now it’s on consoles with stick support.
The PS4 port is also awesome. I have the game on PC but I also bought the PS4 version for some couch co-op with friends. It's 60fps even with 4 ppl on screen and maximum monster density.
Really dont know why people would be worried about performance. When the game came out years ago i ran it maxed out perfectly on my laptop. The switch is a little more than 3 times as powerful.
