- David K. Bernard was invited by host Ian Boyne to present Oneness theology on Religious Hard Talk, a Television Jamaica production, in Kingston, Jamaica, on September 5, 2008.
I'm also a Oneness Pentecostal Christian member, and very glad to express my sincere thanks to Dr. K Barnerd for declaring the true doctrine of the Oneness of God, now I come to know that there's only one God, Jesus..thank you!
I am a Jamaican who was once a trinitarian and praise be to God all mighty (Jesus Christ) I got the revalation that Jesus is God. I am now a oneness believer

I noticed that the presentator had a whole bunch of paperwork all piled up on the desk(1:26:46). While David Bernard just had his Bible. Priceless.
That's because the presenter did an amazing job he was playing the role of someone arguing or debating Dr.Bernards belief and he's quite talented and obviously full of the Holyghost himself.

The interviewer is fighting it and just cant accept the simple truth for whatever reason. I believe he understands the Oneness belief.

As a Oneness Apostolic I don't like the term Jesus only it sounds negative , selfish , and antagonistic I hear lot of trinitarian call us Jesus only like there mocking us to a limited view of the Godhead but Jesus Christ all the fullness of the Godhead is in Jesus Christ

I was raised Baptist and I will never forget the battle I went through with the devil over the oneness of God. How precious to me the day that God gave me the revelation of the oneness of the Godhead. I will never forget that day. I got it like Paul in Galatians 1:12 but, by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Praise God I came of 6 different trinitarian churches in the first year and a half in my search for truth. That was from the beginning of 1984 to mid 1985 the Baptists church was one of them in late 1985 is when... God directed me to a United Penecostal church where I got baptized and recieved the Holy Ghost. And still living for the Lord and loving my Journey with Jesus.

Good point. Brother Bernard knows his scriptures so well he never gets flustered. Another man (not nearly as wonderful and Christ-like as Brother Bernard) who is good at this is Milton Friedman. He actually smiles like the Cheshire Cat when people say ignorant things to him. Ha ha ha.

The Jamaican guy trying to tell David Bernard that you can't do that, uh yes you can. The singular verbs are always used with God in the plural for false gods.
It's like in the Greek Heis Theos means one God, it is a masculine one not hen, h e n which would be a plural one as in unity, Heis the masculine one means as in one person one numeric. It never shows up as a plurality in God.
Rev 22:1-4 God and the Lamb kai= should be even , for you will note "his" servants, his face, his name. Is his a they or a his?

I'm a Jamaican and fan of Ian Bowen the presenter). He might have seemed to get into debate mode, but here's some key insights. He is a Jamaican and, being well aware of the Jamaican passion and interest for dramatic entertainment and friendly drama, he usually shows he enthusiasm and passion in a way that most locals can easily relate to. No one ever leaves his talks feeling (or showing) displeasure. This programme has been the only one of its kind in Jamaica, and since Ian's passing some years ago, there has been nothing to replace it, nor anyone to carry on his unique way of engaging his guests. He was well loved by Jamaicans and highly regarded in his field. We have truly lost a gem in this man.

Plus, he must surely cause people to lose their trains of thought with constant interruptions. Ian Boyne who conducted this interview, never came to the truth. He died as a binitarian with the belief that God eternally exist as two persons, Father and Son, and that the Holy Spirit is the active force of the Father and the Son. Many oneness believers have presented the truth to Mr. Boyne. In my first discussion with him, he even had a oneness book authored by Pastor Robert Sabin, and in later years he used a oneness book written by Bishop Bernard, and in his teaching, attempted to contradict the truth in the book. He has been exposed to the truth, and apparently never saw it. Ian Boyne died outside of the truth, is in the hands of a just God.
Thank God for ministers like Bishop Bernard, who are driven with the zeal for the truth.

That's awesome! I knew this doctrine was true when I spoke in tongues. I didn't even know what it was, nor had I learned about it yet in scripture. It was like in John 9:25
He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
I was ignorant to scripture but all I knew is that when I spoke in this tongues that most denominations deny, I instantly knew it was true. Going back to simplicity, Believe in Him, Repent of our sins, Be baptized into the body through His name, Recieve His Spirit. To me, this is the foundation/beginning of being a Christian. Then let's testify to God's power and glory in our lives, make disciples and build our spiritual foundation on Jesus Christ, the Rock of our salvation. Most Trinitarians get really upset when you tell them that everything points to Jesus. If you're a Christian, why would you get upset at the name of Jesus? This always boggled my mind.
Trinitarians are very much like mormons and jehovah witnesses. They fight the truth... why, I dont know. I believe it's a spirit of Anti-Christ.

Ahh yes I love David Bernard hear, standing up to the monster who have these theology degrees using there language to help them understand this truth. I have found the way in which these men speak is hard to understand at times and refute Bernard does it so well here and I am blessed by this so much. My thoughts are put so much in word when I have thought of the problems of the trinity and in fact they are real problems! I am very blessed to have grown up in this faith of oneness, I have firm teachings that I can bring men and women too in which show the oneness. I see a lot trinity believers get really get stuck on Elohim reference in the unction of the verb used afterward. I am going to have really study these things to get the whole understanding of some of the different Greek and Hebrew to be able to truly stand firm I am thinking of a deep study on this subject I may aswell buy his oneness book! God bless Bernard always knew that my faith was true but I am growing of age in which I want to stand on my faith and help and teach others to turn to the Lord in faith.

The Lord can be both on the throne of heaven and in the body of Jesus at the same time...this is what we have trouble comprehending...1 Tim 3:16 combined with multiple old testement scriptures convinced me that Jesus is God manifest in the flesh...I was finally able to know who I was praying to..then, I received further proof by receiving the gift of the holy ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues just like the Bible says

I admire Brother Bernard and his patience with explaining this One God Truth. I've seen others discuss Oneness with naysayers, but they very rarely maintain an outward representation of Godliness and genuine respectfulness to those countering them. In all these videos circling RUclips where Brother Bernard is involved, he is always the most contained and calm of the pair conversing. Even here, the host of Religious Hard Talk continuously interrupts Brother Bernard, and doesn't come close to his calmness and respectfulness.

I come from an atheist agnostic upbringing and recently became Christian. Reading the bible and hearing these talks, to me it seems logical the name is simply Jezus Christ and God is 14 God not divided in 3 persons. The apostles baptised in his name, so did early Christian communities as even Tertulian the early Christian writer talking as a first about the doctrine of the trinity around 200AD when they were formulating it. He said most of his contemporary believers did not follow in his reasoning! Which means, most back then believed in oneness. Somehow the more time past, the more the trinity idea started taking over and is now majority teached. I found that very interesting.
Anyway being in a Catholic country I could not agree with the church.Its fruit has been rotten and I find it devoid of spirit and too ritualistic. Thats my take
Awesome information; clear, simple, Biblical..... I used to believe in the Trinity,... before I really studied it! Now, Oneness is so clear ..... A question I would have for the Trinitarians: If there are 3 distinct persons and the Bible declares that the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and she conceived and Jesus was born, wouldn't that make Him the Father?!!! I think we have a real problem here!!!

I've often wondered the same question, Sister Strouse. According to Trinitarian theology, Jesus is the Son of God, or God the Son in some interpretations. However, the Bible tells us that it was indeed the Holy Ghost that overshadowed Mary and spoke Jesus as a baby inside her womb. If Trinitarian theology were true, would this not technically make Jesus the Son of the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost is not another "distinct" person, but God in action. The Holy Ghost is the power of God in peoples lives.... it is Jesus working with a believer Mark 16:19-20 "So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen."

David Bernard has a true revelation of the oneness of God. The host can see the oneness view perfect at some points Bro. Bernard brings up, but can’t really go along with him I believe.

I honestly keep listening to you to find if any trinitarian change my mind but the truth can't be denied.
I LOVE Rev. David K. Bernard 😍 I also have his book about the ONE GOD 😍😍
I have read most of the comments and I find that we must give the host credit. 1. It is his show, he is a trinitarian. He has a right to question Dr. Bernard. 2. He does a great job reiterating where they are in the discussion because he had to take station breaks and commercial breaks 3. The hosts style of reasoning may be directly related to the Jamaican way of reasoning through a topic. He even said “I am not debating”. 4. Dr. Bernard through the Holy Ghost treated this situation as though it is a bible study. He allowed the host to present objections to his position. 5. Unlike many Trinitarians the host conceded when Dr. Bernard gave a good answer or argument. He even suggested that the listener read Bernard’s books.6. The host seems to be almost persuaded concerning baptism. He was at least open to considering being rebaptised.
7. It showed scholarship and restraint from both people to allow the other to finish:
This was a great dialogue and the listener went away with a lot to think about. I am Oneness but I think many people that commented below have misunderstood the host and have not considered the 7 points I mentioned above.

When I hear my mother tell me something like this at the time I thought she was telling me the truth. But now with much study over 37 years have learned that LORD is the name of God in the Old Testament, and Lord is His kingship to his creation. Therefore LORD and Lord is the same Lord. LORD is His name, and Lord is His title.

Pastor Bernard displays Godly patience while the other gentlemen seems frustrated and at times desperate to prove a point.... Bernard has revelation and the other holds desperately to tradition... The host was extemely biased instead of objectively playing the role of the host. To allow the guest to explain his stance on the view. Reading aloud verses while the guest is explaining is amateur and left any hope of any explanation of the oneness position on a disadvantageous angle.
Belief of Oneness: Jesus is God in the flesh as a complete human being, Being called Son Of God according to the incarnation/birth who has not prexisted as a seperate person but in the Logos/Word of God who created all things.
What things are of spirit are spirit, what things pertaining to man are of the spirit of man. So mister get the spirit of christ than you'll understand the things of god. Then you won't come across as stupid.

Clearly, there are many verses besides this in the gospels that clearly states the distinction between the Father and the Son.

Oneness Pentecostals do not deny a distinction between the Father and the Son, though.
The reason they were stoning Stephen was because he was declaring that Jesus was God.
What I saw in this discussion as a Oneness Pentecostal is that great & wonderful love of God for man.
The Oneness is like Water. Fill a glass with water. Then the manifestation of ice. You boil that same water and you get steam.
The Water - Father.
Ice - Jesus.
Steam - Holy Ghost.

If you're going to say that "Jesus" is the name of the Father, then you're blurring the lines between human and divine. The name Jesus is a normal human name that was the name of other people in Scripture and is not the name of the eternal God. The name of God in Scripture, that he declared to be his name forever, is YHWH (Jehovah). "Jesus" is the name of the man born of Mary.

Yes, Jesus is the only name by which we are saved. This is because we are saved through the person of Jesus of Nazareth, whom God exalted and raised up. He is the only way.
Lots of people saying that the host didn't let Bro Bernard talk...but he wasn't there preach a sermon on the oneness...he was on a show with a host that was trying to ask the hard questions that (according to trinitarians) disprove the oneness. I thought it was great! Bro Bernard wasn't frazzled or thrown off (like we would have been) it was a great discussion...especially for the Trinitarians watching.
