Well that would be a start. Then they would have to learn how to make modern, reliable vehicles for once along with tackling the worst dealer network on the planet.
The first thing Trump has to do is stop making tax payer dollars available for incentives for well off people to buy EVs and Hybrids. The second thing is to remove all EV related mandates which will remove any undue pressures on the automobile industry. The third is to reinstate drilling licensing. Our quality of life as well as our economy depend on cheap energy.
Besides, who needs a planet for our grandkids and great grandkids. As long as meatheads can burn their oil, that's all that matters. We don't want to compete with the rest of the world.
I'm skeptical of needing more drilling. We should be importing oil to preserve our own oil for when global oil reserves start declining between 2050 and 2070. We should also conserve our coal for future conversion to liquid fuel.

If you are a car enthusiast and you're into muscle cars and tuning, then yes, gas cars are the way to go and EVs suck. But for everyone else, the majority of the country, EVs are actually better vehicles. They last longer, they have less maintenance, less issues, less problems. As a person who owns an EV and a gas car, I'm telling you this from experience... unlike your opinion, which is shrouded in ignorance.
@YattirSmith Except EVs don't have enough range to go on a trip and takes 4 to 5 hours just to charge the stupid things as well, don't believe me then go watch Scotty Kilmer and he'll tell you the real truth about EVs ingeneral.
@@YattirSmith also depreciation is very bad on EV’s, batteries can cost thousands of dollars, and there aren’t as much charging stations out there compared to combustion engines.
Gas cars will always be around, I’m not so sure about EV‘s, maybe in small percentage. The best design out there is what’s known as the mild hybrid. It is not a plug-in. It has a 48 V battery and a drivetrain with a gasoline engine. These cars have a proven technology, get excellent gas mileage and are reliable. If the battery dies they are still capable of being driven. The EV cars themselves are not the issue, it’s the infrastructure in the United States. I am not sure it will ever be up to par to fully support everyone having only EV cars.
Bassheads like me are also glad they’re keeping gas vehicles, Without them everyone will have to spend months trying to hook up a charged battery that will drain in a few seconds with a Heavy duty system
Unless they find a cost effective way of recycling liquid fuels, I doubt they have a future outside of aviation and some other specific sectors. Oil production is already getting more and more expensive.
Toyota does hybrids better. The only mild hybrid I've ever dealt with used the alternator as a motor, and it was failing on this guy's brand new Mild Hybrid ram. The alternator was dealer only and had a price tag of $2500. I have never heard of a Toyota eCVT failing. I'm sure it happens with very old Priuses, same as the hybrid battery, but never on a car less than 5 years old.
This is the most logical and rational analysis of this situation by a car enthusiast RUclips channel. Most channels are using click bait and they really have no idea what will happen. Just remember that Elon is buddies with Trump and Elon owns Tesla. EVs are not going anywhere.

We might see more V8's coming back, but as far as Dodge is concerned, probably not, unless the brand gets bought out by someone who wants to restore their former glory. MPG standards will probably be relaxed quite a bit, and the EPA will probably be made to focus on other things, like corporate pollution. Though, I'm hopeful the real reason that the 2024 Charger has been delayed is because of the election, and maybe they're planning on bringing back the Hemi, but I doubt it.
I wish it were that simple dodge at this point is no more they are stilantis now. Dodge is a name now nothing more it died. You can say this till you're blue in the face they won't pay attention, I've said it in multiple comment sections. The Mopar V8 is dead because they failed to innovate and made terrible decisions.
@@MaddNomad1015 it’s more of Stellantis making dumb decisions because of a certain ideology. This is being done purely on ideology and not because the V8 is just naturally going away. I would say that the decision to reinvent Dodge back in the early 2000’s wasn’t a bad decision., but selling to the Europeans was the biggest mistake the brand ever made.
Modern mopar owners (mopar muscle cars notwithstanding) have a very cult member-ish air about them, anyways. Their vehicle can be experiencing major problems straight off the assembly line and they'll gaslight themselves into thinking that's normal. Then if they're a jeep owner they'll superglue 200 rubber ducks to the dashboard making it nigh-impossible to dust the inside of their vehicle, and put a shitty plastic angry grille on it, lift it to the sky and put it on rubber bands, and then never off-road a vehicle that was meant specifically to go off-road. I would bet the average kaiser jeep from the 60's sees more dirt in five minutes than a modern jeep will see in 20 years.
@lsswappedcessna Well, they're probably still remembering those old "glory days" when you had to constantly "tinker" with a Mopar, or she'd run like a can of marbles. But when they were "right," MY GOD THEM THINGS WERE FAST!
Realistically what this means is most of us will pay extremely high prices for parts because of the increased tariffs. The left doesn't necessarily want EVs especially since the majority hate Elon Musk but it will be a sad 4 years for us Japanese car guys and Chevy guys since most GM parts are made in Mexico and Canada. Not to mention the Republican Party famously has been against the idea of "Right to Repair" thus the implication that Trump might double down and won't allow for people to service or mod their own personal vehicles since it wouldn't be in the best financial interest of large corporations. It may also imply that manufactures WILL CONTINUE to keep their software locked up because its proprietary information. ( Which would severely cripple the ability to tune our vehicles or even service them without the use of these devices locked up by dealerships.) Trump in general is not the brightest when it comes to economics because of his stance on international trade. While the USA is a VERY ROBUST country IT DOES NOT have the GEOGRAPHICAL RESOURCES to be self sufficient. Just to name a few examples FUEL primarily comes from overseas ; countries like Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Venezuela. TIRES are made from rubber which comes from trees that ONLY ABLE TO GROW IN REGIONS like Southeast Asia, South America and Africa. Also China which I know gets a bad rap for manufacturing (rightfully so because of poor work conditions caused by capitalism appreciating quantity over quality) it is the WORLDS LARGEST PRODUCER OF STEEL. Thus America might not be great for another 4 years.
Hey, from Canada. Love your videos BTW. There is one elephant in the room that you did not mention. You talked about other EV manufacturers but shows a B Roll of Tesla. Elon has become Trumps new best friend, and Trjmp already said he will be putting him in charge of all that stuff... so not only is that a huge conflict of interest, it also leaves a huge question of what exactly that's gonna do for the EV market in the States. You need to put that into the EV equation as well.
If Trump is able to get CAFE regulations rolled back, I'd like to see Ford/Lincoln and Chevrolet/Buick start offering mid- and full-sized sedans again! BRING BACK THE LAND YACHT!
I doubt that rolling back the cafe standard alone would make manufacturers sell sedans again. Bigger vehicles can be sold for a bigger margin. That's why Europe is seeing more and more of these retarded crossovers.
For some reason I don't think that Trump is going to be this V8 champion.... One of his closest advisor is Elon musk who is the godfather of electric vehicles.
@@YattirSmith Musk has also said that the ICE still has its place along side EVs. Just because Musk will have a voice doesn’t mean it will only be a voice for Tesla. You’ve really got to pay more attention.
Elon Musk and his car company are failing. So Elon Musk joined the Trump train because he wants a government job on Trump's cabinet. Elon is a billionaire and he is a snake just like trump is. And Elon Musk is an immigrant. He doesn't want to piss off Trump and get deported
Nah, market dominance. In exchange for helping Trump win the election, Tesla will likely be the only electric vehicle company to still have EV mandates or discounts. Tesla will be the only electric vehicle company you can reasonably afford
SEMA official gave a great comparison on how the election would affect the automotive industry and what each candidate would do to affect it. This outcome was the more positive outcome for the auto industry, freedom of choice and variety in the industry.

Bet it will happen faster than you think. The 2025 dodge charger was developed for AWD electric, and RWD gasoline. Same floor pan for both. The 6.1L Hemi is still being made. Since this chassis can accept a RWD gas engine, and the shock towers are wide enough, I am betting by 2026 a Hemi powered Charger R/T will be available.
EV's are a major contributing factor to why all vehicles have become so expensive... somebody has to pay for them... If Stellantis doesn't change it's course for the US market Dodge will be dead here.
Kool they can bring back the v8 all they want the real question is will they bring the prices down to reality where people can buy and not go bankrupt?
Americans are not even buying EV’s with all the perks, consumers want the good old days back! The American market is the market that matters, if we go back to common sense, Europe will eventually follow! Bring back the Hemi!🔥🔥🔥
I don't like they're gonna stop subsidizing ev statoion production. That's a horrible idea. No new technology can fully mature when it is not feasable for the every day person to actually use the technology. Without helping to fund those stations being made, people will be locked out of having an ev even if it would be better for them. This lowers ev sales, significantly slows the progress of the technology, and then brings back the reliance on gasoline and diesel anywhere ev stations arent already popular. Im gonna be honest, im a republican on a lot of issues. But this, i can't get behind. And i went from an ev as my first car, to a manual transmission coupe. I like gas cars, but this is not the way forward.
Toyota was right about the EV's I bet they are so glad they did not go all in like everyone else they will be around a long time after all the other brands are dead.
Hybrids are a much better answer than EVs. 95% of the benefit with virtually none of the drawbacks. EV mandates are not about solving a problem, but about profiteering on government power. This is how the Pelosis of the world become millionaires many times over when their paycheck does not explain it. When you give yourself the power to tell the whole country that they have to buy a product...insiders are about to get filthy rich.
Besides, Do you really wanna be calling around, "Where do I plug this thing in"? If they're gonna force us that way, a gasoline or diesel hybrid makes more sense.
Look what happened to Florida a few weeks ago after the hurricanes. Gas was hard to find. Electricity wasn’t. With an EV every outlet is an energy source.
@appleiphone69 Yeah and EV's were catching on fire. Hard pass. What do you do when half the state doesn't have power? Charge your EV with unicorn farts?
@@appleiphone69 I’ve been through hurricanes in Louisiana and if you don’t have power for weeks, what then? During mass evacuations, what do you do if you run out of energy? Sit in line at the few chargers there are along the route for days? Yes, there are times during natural disasters where fuel does run short, but it still comes in. You can’t just bring in electricity from out of state. And imagine if all of the utility trucks were also running off of electricity. What then? Kinda hard to charge your vehicle where there’s no power to do so. But you can bring fuel trucks in to fuel those trucks. Can’t do that with electricity.
@@beefiddy8 if there is no electricity there is no power to pump gas at gas stations unless they have backup generators. Also there is high demand and short supply of gas because of portable generators. If you have solar panels of sufficient quantities, you can charge a vehicle. Most areas you lose power for a week, how much driving you doing? You can find an area that has power and charge there.
I want everyone to try this - Tell ChatGPT to generate an updated design for the dodge challenger and you'll notice VERY quickly how much dodge purposely dragged their feet switching to EV's. Like a child who was forced to do the dishes so they barely scrub them on purpose.

As city commuters they aren't that bad. Hybrid drivetrains make more sense for a lot of people.
We currently set records for drilling. We produce more oil than any other country

Too late to save Jeep or MOPAR, but there could be a good aftermarket for parts.

The 5.7/6.4/6.2 were all very reliable engines. They just couldn’t pass the new EPA standards.
Here in CA we can no longer use gas stove in the near future. bc dictators saids so
Realistically what this means is most of us will pay extremely high prices for parts because of the increased tariffs.
Told everybody he was coming back. We're go ing to get this country back on track. Get the V8 back eventually.
