  • Hi, thanks for checking out my new video!
I was inspired by Jason's video over at Bourbon Moth Woodworking. He made a rustic looking bench using beautiful reclaimed wood.
However, using his jointer and planer he milled the wood completely square!
I don't have access to such beautiful machinery, but I hope this video inspires you to figure out a way to build something using the tools you have.
In Belgium (and the Netherlands) scaffolding boards (or "Steigerhout") are really trendy and widely used for rustic looking furniture. Generally, these are old pine boards which are extremely easy work with, plus, they smell amazing when sawing!

Nice bench! Thank you for the video. Just wondering if the cutting on legs are made on a particular angle.

Thanks for sharing this build with us! What angle did you use for the legs?

I honestly dont know, I just used some scrap piece cut at a random angle. The more important part is that the ground-side of the legs is slightly wider than the bench
