Making a Sliced Wood Lamp (Deadline)
Hi,
This is how I build a floor lamp, not just any floor lamp.
The story goes back a couple years when I was able to salvage a bunch of historic oak beams from a centuries old farm house.
Ever since I got these beams, there was a lamp design I really wanted to build, now that a client asked me to build a floor lamp using these beams, there was my opportunity!
The lamp uses a design where the log / beam has floating segments of wood. I hindsight this wasn't easy but I had a great time figuring it out as well as overcoming the challenges that came with the build.

I honestly dont know, I just used some scrap piece cut at a random angle. The more important part is that the ground-side of the legs is slightly wider than the bench

Thanks, do you mean the branding iron? I got it made through an Etsy seller (just search for custom branding iron) :)

Thanks! And I got them from a local distributor in Belgium (CEBEO). A quick search for "legrand 2P plug - 6 A - plastic with extraction ring" should result in some local sellers ;)

Well, I got them from a local distributor (CEBEO in Belgium), the manufacturer in Italy is Relco / VLM

Hi, thanks! if you're referring to the shrink tube, I don't think it has a brand. It's simply black shrink tube you can get off Amazon :)
I recommend Stodoys to every beginner and not only.
Can't see the end efect because of those two miniature pictures of differnt videos. This is so annoying on RUclips

Hi Pawel, if you mean the complete lamp, it’s 90x90x160 mm. The light bulb included.
What size of bulb? G30 or G40?
