Great job... just finished mine. Spent a few minutes scratching my head with only 2 legs. Once I realized the mistake in the video...was back on track. Nice rustic bench.
Got me too! But great build
I built your bench over the past week and it was a complete success. This was a great project for a first time DIYer. Thanks for the fantastic video.
how much did this cost you to make?
@@breelloyd9750 I just used construction lumber. Supplies cost more in Canada but I think about 100$ for wood paint and stain.
Building four of these for a small get together and I must say you did a good job sir.I have two completed.
I followed the video and Voila it turned out pretty good! Thanks for sharing!
This is Mr Connor thank you and i love it I'm a beginner thank you.
Just wanted to say thanks for making a great video. Simple talk and video always the way to go. thanks
Glad you enjoyed!
Excellent bench! I love it. Thanks for the video.
Just built this last week - took me about half a day dealing with a toddler and baby and I am very new to woodworking so def anybody can do this with the right tools and a little know how thanks again! I am curious about wood expansion and if Z clips or something else would be needed but other than that everything went great thanks again!
Thanks for watching!
Hey brother, solid job on the bench....
Good job and project thx for sharing enjoyed it Cheers
Thanks so much for this video! It was my first attempt at building a real piece of furniture. It was a success! Also thanks to the other comment about have 2 sets of legs 😂.
Love your work, sounds like you would make a great shop teacher.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed!
Nice build. I like the use of affordable lumber.
Thanks 👍
- AWESOME ! ! ! Thanx 4 sharing the details.
You bet!
Great video!!! Thank you.
Beautiful
excellent video
Awesome project! I built two already and have sold them. Have orders for two more of these benches now. Nice, sturdy, simple, quick build, and a money maker. 👍
Awesome, thank you!
Do you mind telling roughly how much it cost to build or how much it sold for? Thank you.
@@1888CHAD8881 I build a similar bench without the shelf. Stained top, painted and distressed base, all coated with polyurethane. I get $95 per bench and sell them rather quickly.
Love this bench, super helpful video. Do you have plans for this build, and/or a material list?
We are in the process of plans and do have a supply list on our webpage www.gatorfinishing.com
Loved this project!!
So glad!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Nice project! What where can I get the wood paint and the stain please?
Nice and quick project. Looks great!
Thank you, Angie!
You didn't mention that (4) 15.5" legs will be needed, not 2.
I was like...ah something is not right here. 😆
Is screwing the top to the legs like that okay? Are z clips not needed? Asking because im new. I just don’t want it to crack because of expansion
Total how many 2x4x8's did you use for this project?
What is the final height of the bench? It looks great. Thanks for sharing.
Its stands roughly 2 feet! Thanks for watching
@@GatorFinishing More like 18"
So you need 7 8 ft 2x4 for the project ?
I bought 5
Fantastic! Do you use glue?
Sometimes glue works just as well if not better!
Awesome. But why no glue?
Just was a little quicker without
What size screws for the top
Isn’t 220 too smooth for paint to grab well?
How do you set the miter to cut the 10 degree angle for the legs?
Willie,
Our saw has a Mitre Adjustment lever you can set to whatever degree you need. Hope this helps!
Amazeballs. I'll be making this bench soon. Thanks for the upload.
lol I’m ASuper was
lol lol yea lol lol lol I omg is life fun with and all I do do love to see
I can’t get mine to look right because 15.5” legs one side and 14” straight on the other side just doesn’t look right to me
Any issue with making the bench top 6 feet in length?
Shouldn't be an issue! Thanks for watching!
It's more like pocket hole bench.
What size pocket screws?
2 1/2 inches
You only show the completed bench at an odd angle for 3 seconds before the video ends.
I did it myself with the Woodglut plans. I think this is the best way to find out how to build it.
My adventure with woodworking started with Woodglut.
