    Thank you for the suggestions! Just about finished quilting on the long arm. I was hoping you would say "straight lines are ok"! It's been a great journey. Thank you Nancy for all the Lone Star tutorials!
    PS: love, love the bead work! It's definitely on my wish list! I'm using a Moxie long arm. Still getting used to it, so free hand is a bit awkward. I'm definitely a straight line ruler gal!

      @@QuiltingWithNancy What if I would be able to make it in quarters and then joined the top, batting and backing? I would have to be very precise and embellish with some of your open feathers?

    Great ideas for quilting the lonestar. Have you ever used a BSR, (stitch regulator) on a domestic machine for quilting? I'm on the fence, I like it some days and others not so much. I'm trying to decide if I should sell it. I do like the FREEness of freemotion. What do you like best?

    • @QuiltingWithNancy
      @QuiltingWithNancy  6 лет назад

      Hi Diana, Nancy here - I have of course "tried" a regulator but have never bought one - I had a professional long arm back 20 years ago, before the regulator was invented!! :) - so I don't think it's necessary and would not recommend it any way - my motto is Just Do IT - I promise your 2nd quilt will be better than your 1st and your 3rd better than your 2nd - Just Do IT :)

    Hi Nancy, I love your teaching methods! Question on the scant 1/4" versus the 1/4" seam. When you were piecing the individual pieces in the lone star diamonds it was done with the scant 1/4" but when you were putting the diamonds together and adding the big triangles and blocks you used 1/4". Curious as to why?
    Thanks, Debbie

      Hi Debbie - I am sure what i meant was the scant 1/4" - must have just forgot to say it :)
