This was my best friend's favorite song. She passed away from cancer, 2 month's ago. They played this at her funeral. I cried so hard!!! Thank you for honoring her memory, even though you didn't know you were. Stay healthy!✌️
I'm from Halifax, Nova Scotia. I've seen April Wine six or seven times now and they've been extraordinary every time. I've had the pleasure to meet each member of the band on several occasions and I can tell you that they are as awesome in person as they are on stage. Myles Goodwyn was a sweetheart through and through. We'll miss him dearly.
Sad to see Myles passing... as a 17 year old high schooler in the 70s, spent many a nights in the pool hall "air guitaring" all the April Wine songs. WHEW!!!!... glad I'm over that stage. 😞🙏🙏
RIP Myles. One of my favourite musicians - a truly underrated gem. And thank you to "Views From the 502" for giving these songs more exposure. So good.
New to your channel - Myles would have been thrilled to have seen your reaction to this. Thank you for doing this - it brought me a lot of joy to find it on a late night RUclips trip!
Great reaction guys. I grew up with April Wine. Brings back some great memories. We were lucky to have so many great bands in Canada during those times. Appreciate your heartfelt analysis.
I got to meet Myles and Mr. Mercer after a concert in Mpls. Stood in the front row and rocked word for word on the whole playlist. After, I actually sat in their limo for 45 minutes talkin about life and they were so human. My idols, but so down to earth and so caring. Changed my whole outlook on rock and roll idols. A forever memory for sure. RIP Myles ❤
My favorite Canadian band and I'm Canadian. I can't help but think that if they were American and had a big label behind them that they would have been huge. Thanks for covering them guys. Loved your review of roller. One of my favorites.
Every time one of my favorite musicians from when I was a teen passes away, it reminds me how my time is on its way. In my mind, I'm a 14 year old kid who can easily bring to mind watching April Wine on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert playing Roller and Sign of the Gypsy Queen with interviews of Myles and the band mixed in.
April Wine is a Canadian treasure. One of the very best rock bands we produced. RIP Myles. Awesome tribute reaction. I really wish more Americans got to hear these guys in their heyday.
My favorite band. Discovered them way back in 1971. Only got to see them twice. For a few more song suggestions: Don't Push Me Around (Foot thumper) Like a Lover, LIke a Song (Ballad) Rock n' Roll is a Vicious Game (Tribute to the rock and roll business) I Like to Rock (Tribute at the end to 2 British bands) Enough is Enough (Got a lot of MTV play in the 80s)
Some songs will pierce your heart and touch your soul and make you feel and bring out emotions whether you are going through something or not. There are so many great songs out there but very few that can touch your soul.
Please do "I like to Rock" by April Wine. Thank you for the great reaction guys. ❤ RIP Myles Goodwin 😢 great voice and excellent guitar player. "Enough is Enough" is a good song. Love wine 🍷 all of it.
I bought this album when I was in the 5th grade . It doesn't take a rocket scientist to appreciate great song structure, guitar tone and stellar vocals. Glad you guys are discovering this 40 plus years later!
As a teen in the 70s was always into heavier music then I was at a friends party one weekend and he played a few April Wine albums back to back. I became a huge fan and saw them in concert a few years later when they were playing a concert in the area.
I was lucky enough to grow up near the Canadian border. So you would get a lot of Canadian radio stations. Q107, 977 hits fm, CFNY. A lot of great Canadian bands we would hear, where the more south you go the less you’d hear. This song reminds me of our youth, going to the mall, cruising or sitting at a park late at night with all our friends. This was a break up or love tune for the one you thought was going to last, when it usually ended in heartbreak.
I had the privilege of seeing Myles perform 2 years ago and his vocals were still absolutely golden. He was a gem of a human being too. So glad you got to hear this special song and thank you so much for introducing your audience to April Wine.
Love this reaction. Music is a gift from God that helps us experience things on a heightened level. This band is the definition of underrated. I regret never seeing them in concert back in the day.
I would add Karl Tremblay to this lot. I was quite surprised and touched to see condolonces messages from every provinces when he passed away. RIP them all.
I'm a Canadian who grew up with their music in the 70's and 80's. Saw them live a couple of times. Myles was such a gifted writer and musician. Thank you for sharing.
I was a bit young when that came out but I had 2 older bros that were music fanatics ( musicians). April wine were Never huge but they had a run of hits I remember in the late 70s and early 80s. I remember this album being played Alot growing up. Always liked them👍
I have been a fan of "April Wine" since the late '70s when I was a young teenager. My two favorite albums are "Harder Faster" & "Nature of the Beast." They had pure talent ! RIP Myles, you were one in a million.
Beautiful song! I still have a 45 by them called...You Could Have Been a Lady. It is very worn! 😍😀 I have that old record and I am not Canadian...I am from Michigan. 😁 We knew that band well here.
Great reaction my guys. No shame in showing emotion either. That song I heard seeing them in concert. It was really a small venue and I still, some 40+ years later, remember where I was standing and everyone just became quiet and total focused on them. It was great. RIP Myles🙏
Gen X Canadian guy here who has been lucky enough to see them live many times in small venues. One of the best bands out there and one of the most absolutely underrated bands ever... They deserve so much more recognition
Thank you for the reaction. Not too many people know about April Wine. If there's anything out there on the 80's group, ASIA & Billy Squire, check them out. Amazing music.
So sad to hear that we lost Miles at a relatively young age. I had the good fortune to see April Wine live twice back in their heyday of the late 70s and early 80s. They were definitely FIRE. Watching and listening to Miles lead their incredibly arranged triple-guitar explosion was truly exciting to say the least. Miles had such a beautiful voice as well, showcased so sweetly here on this classic ballad. Rest-in-Peace. Miles...we love you.
Classic Canadian band . I have seen them more than once the last time being at our local bar in the Westshore on Vancouver Island B.C Canada . They sounded as good as ever .
Myles Goodwyn, a legend of Canadian, and world, hard rock. Really hard to beat April Wine in this genre. Respect to you guys for a genuine and heartfelt reaction.
I’ve got something stuck in my eye… honestly, a very heartfelt reaction to Myles passing. I grew up here in Canada and they were one of my favourite bands. Saw them 15+ times and they were always rocking on. RIP Myles.
Great job guys!!! Myles (RIP) was an extremely versatile musician and songwriter. He had a perfect rock and roll mix of hard rockers and beautiful ballads. Listening to “Coming Right Down on Top of Me” in the right mood gets emotional reactions from me every time. I’d love to know what others think of it…
Like many Canadians of my age group, the first rock concert I ever attended was April Wine in 1974 or 75. They were a part of the soundtrack to my teenage years. Thanks guys. RIP Myles.
I seen April wine and the Stampeders 1971-72? in Brockville Ontario Opera theatre.April Wine was the opening act for the Stampeders. As you know this song is from 1985? So they had 14 plus yrs under their belts !! Both good groups for a SMALL TOWN KID!!! 14 yrs old at the time!! RIP Myles!!
Another great song from the 70s! Thank you for playing Just Between You And Me! I just found your channel this week (week of April 14, 2024)! So glad I did! Love you guys and your channel! With regard to your one hit wonders... Have you played The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia by Vicky Lawrence?? Early 1970s... So good, and this song has a great storyline! Peace out! Christian K, NYS.
It's been very refreshing to see a lot of the younger generation hearing for the first time what I've been listening to my entire life.... and yes I know many have heard this before but I truly feel that April Wine has to be one of the most underrated bands in any era. From their debut album in 1971 to their 16th studio album in 2006 they have produced an unbelievable amount of amazing music including 34 singles. For those who are not that familiar with April Wine its the hidden gems that were never released as singles that make this group so good. Their third & fourth albums "Electric Jewels & Stand Back" are simply must have's that are full of great songs after great songs. Outside of the title hit & " Like a Lover like a song" the Whole World's goin crazy album has songs such as "Wings of Love, Shot down, Gimme love that are incredible as well. From 1978 - 1981 AW released 3 killer albums, First Glance, Harder Faster & The Nature of the Beast which if I was stranded on a beach would definitely be in my library. Along with the many singles there are so many songs on those albums that could of & should have been hits as well. Even some of their latest studio releases such as "Attitude" are kicking. For me, Myles Goodwyn was without a doubt the most influential music artist in my life (just ask my wife). He not only had one of the most recognizable & distinct voices in music but also had to be one of the best song writers in the industry. I appreciate you guys coming to realize the same, and yes....Wonderful reaction!
On the first day of MTV, April Wine was one of only three groups (along with The Who and Phil Collins) to have five airplays of a single song (Just Between You and Me). For total airplays the day was owned by Rod Stewart and REO Speedwagon. April Wine was still impressive in the list of total airplays for the opening day with the addition of Sign of The Gypsy Queen being played twice. So for total airplays we have: Rod Stewart 16, REO Speedwagon 15, The Pretenders 11, The Who 9, April Wine 7, Split Enz 7. Still a good showing by AW.
its why so many people love these songs so much...grew up through the years with this soundtrack of life ..and we must say thanks for the memories.music definitly touches people .. rip
When talent, lyrics, composition, production and delivery coalesce, a perfect song is born. Hard to believe that this was recorded 45 years ago. This was the first song I couple skated to when I was 13. Wow, where does time go?
Okay, here's a great Canadian band I know you absolutely haven't heard of: The Lowest of the Low. I think they might've had 2 or 3 albums, but the first one was on permanent cassette rotation in my car. They were heavily promoted on only one Toronto radio station (CFNY -- The Spirit of Radio, referred to in the Rush song), and then they just seemed to vanish. It's not HARD rock, but it's crazy catchy, and the lyrics are really good too. (Often offbeat subjects like the Spanish Civil War, and fatalist philosophy. They were pretty much one of a kind, when I listen to them again. I think the song "4 O'Clock Stop" is up your alley. Anyhoo, give them a try!
My #1 favorite video by you guys. ❤ I KNEW y'all would LOVE THIS!!!! ❤ Imagine 56-year-old me back when I first heard this song in late 1981 when I was just 14 years old. Just like with you guys it completely blew me away. It was love at first listen. It didn't take me long after that to become a big April Wine fan. They are the #1 most underrated Rock band of all time. They only sold 10 million copies combined of their 20 albums, 16 of which were original studio albums. This was a band who should have sold at least 50 million. They were one of the top bands in Canada, but unfortunately only barely made a dent in the US market a few times and that was it. What an absolute shame, but we will always have their music forever. ❤
You're worthy.....soooo many Canadian bands got the short end from the USA and thank god Canada supported them because I grew up to this amazing music.....APRIL WINE was just inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame you may be interested to go watch the video❤🇨🇦
This came out the year I graduated High School. Have always loved April Wine. Hate to hear of Myles' death. Hearing this song is bringing tears to my eyes too! For something to cheer you up listen to "I Like to Rock". It's right up there with "Roller"
This one hit me harder than most - maybe because I grew up with their music, maybe because I had the pleasure of meeting Myles once. I will forever cherish that memory (and his autograph on my prized April Wine t-shirt). RIP Myles, you were a great gift to the music world. And thanks guys for this reaction.
Aàhhh !! My High school years,it is sad you haven't heard about his passing, I just found out about this watching 502 😢 one of my favorites 🎶🎶 RIP MYLES🎶🎶
So wonderful to see the reaction of such young people to music that I grew up on. Watching Nick get emotional makes me emotional! LOL Thanks for another great video, Boys.
Where is the "love" button. Great reaction video fellas! This is one of my all time favorite songs. My guitar teacher usually let me pick the songs I wanted to learn but he said "You're learning this one this week." I'm glad he did. I still play this solo today. RIP Myles Goodwyn.
Try going through a breakup while this song was hot and on the radio playing constantly You are feeling what I was feeling back then... So many freaking memories
I totally agree with you Ryan about the wine. You should react to their song called "Rock and Roll Is A Vicious Game" from First Glance. I know you'll really love it.
April Wine is awesome. I’m glad it was part of my youth and generation. It brings back so many sweet memories. Their songs are timeless and have held up. That’s a sign of a kick ass band. Roller is an all time fave rock hard song. Ya shoulda been there. 🙂
This has been on my favorite song list since it came out. I put it on mixed tapes back in the day. The melody, the voice, the lyrics all tug at my heart.
Canadians felt the passing of Myles Goodwin deeply. A national icon. We’re a small country and he meant the world to us.
Well said ❤🇨🇦
Small? Canada is an enormous country!
This was my best friend's favorite song. She passed away from cancer, 2 month's ago. They played this at her funeral. I cried so hard!!! Thank you for honoring her memory, even though you didn't know you were. Stay healthy!✌️
This was mine and my wifes first dance at our wedding. She passed away in June, so all i can say is thank you for this and your reaction to this song
Sorry for your loss.
?
Im so sorry for your loss.🙏🏻 What a cool 1st. Dance song!
Man, I couldn’t even imagine. I’m so sorry!
Much love brother!

Myles, such a humble rock legend who should’ve gotten more recognition along with the Band…….very underrated
Thank You Guys!!! RIP Myles Goodwin!🙏🤟
Yes! So beautiful! ❤
So glad Myles lived long enough to get the accolades you mentioned at the begining of the reaction. You both did a super job on this one, guys.
It makes me cry, too.
New to your channel - Myles would have been thrilled to have seen your reaction to this. Thank you for doing this - it brought me a lot of joy to find it on a late night RUclips trip!

My favorite Canadian band and I'm Canadian. I can't help but think that if they were American and had a big label behind them that they would have been huge. Thanks for covering them guys. Loved your review of roller. One of my favorites.
Such a different song than Roller, or my personal favorite from April Wine, Sign of a the Gypsy Queen. Great reaction fellas!!!’
Every school dance when i was a kid. This was played for the slow dance.
April Wine is a Canadian treasure. One of the very best rock bands we produced. RIP Myles. Awesome tribute reaction. I really wish more Americans got to hear these guys in their heyday.
Played at every Canadian High School formal prom in the 80s thats for sure, along with Blue Rodeo's Lost and Try
The words are sometimes hard too find. The silence can be so unkind... Rip Myles, thanks for the sounds of my youth.😢
My favorite band. Discovered them way back in 1971. Only got to see them twice. For a few more song suggestions:
Don't Push Me Around (Foot thumper)
Like a Lover, LIke a Song (Ballad)

YOU JUST PUT INTO WORDS...WHAT THAT GUITAR IS SINGING.
LOVE THIS SONG 4-EVER.😢😢😪😪😪⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘⚘
REST IN PEACE
MYLES.
OH MY HEART.💔
such a tasteful solo, not too long and overwrought. Love my memories of the '80s!
Please do "I like to Rock" by April Wine. Thank you for the great reaction guys. ❤ RIP Myles Goodwin 😢 great voice and excellent guitar player. "Enough is Enough" is a good song. Love wine 🍷 all of it.
Another good one along with Roller. Kick my ass.
I have listened to this song hundreds of times, when I was younger.
The perfect guitar solo for a perfect song
Love April Wine!!! Always remembering Myles.

YES! These Guys "Get It"!!! Other Reactors that Also Appreciate Great Rock are "Andy & Alex"!

The BEST reaction guys! Thank you for loving Canadian music ❤ This one hits hard, let the emotions flow. Love your channel.

One of the most underrated voices and bands in music. As a Canadian, I've followed this band since I was a kid. R.I.P Myles.
This song is on our wedding CD. Awesome tune!
I’ve got something stuck in my eye… honestly, a very heartfelt reaction to Myles passing. I grew up here in Canada and they were one of my favourite bands. Saw them 15+ times and they were always rocking on. RIP Myles.
April Wine never went cheap……love ‘em❤️❤️❤️
Great reaction. This was one of my favorite songs and bands back in the 80s. Still is. RIP Myles. 😢
I don't know, mate. He was inducted into the songwriters' Hall of Fame here in Canada. In his own country, he wasn't underrated.
One o the best grab your gal and hit the dance floor song.
Great job guys!!! Myles (RIP) was an extremely versatile musician and songwriter. He had a perfect rock and roll mix of hard rockers and beautiful ballads. Listening to “Coming Right Down on Top of Me” in the right mood gets emotional reactions from me every time.

RIP MYLES!! Thanks for reacting to this one, Guys!! RIP Myles Goodwyn!! SO MANY GOOD APRIL WINE SONGS!!! :)
Truly one of my all-time favorite songs. Loved it since I was a kid watching the video on early MTV.
I first heard this song when I was a little girl, and I've adored it ever since.

Love the reaction guys 👍 As a proud Canadian , there were so many bands we produced in the 80’s that were SO UNDERRATED !!
Yup!
Literally plays your heart strings.
Thank you from A Canadian fan of yours and, of course, of April Wine and Myles Goodwyn🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
April Wine have many great songs.
So wonderful to see the reaction of such young people to music that I grew up on.
Watching Nick get emotional makes me emotional! LOL Thanks for another great video, Boys.
Seen them live 6 times mostly in thier prime...they were great live...very underated
Where is the "love" button. Great reaction video fellas! This is one of my all time favorite songs. My guitar teacher usually let me pick the songs I wanted to learn but he said "You're learning this one this week." I'm glad he did. I still play this solo today. RIP Myles Goodwyn.
Favorite the abril wine
Lindo bello wao. ❤
I saw it reported on FB, but I’m in a Rock music group. And great point about the Name. It’s great.
Thinking of my school dances in the 80s. In Tears , 😥 RIP Myles
Try going through a breakup while this song was hot and on the radio playing constantly
You are feeling what I was feeling back then...
So many freaking memories
"Say Hello" is another GREAT tune from April Wine.
Great reaction guys!
Love April Wine since 1989. 🥰
RIP Myles. This album was and still is a banger. I wore the hell out of this album back in high school
This has been on my favorite song list since it came out. I put it on mixed tapes back in the day. The melody, the voice, the lyrics all tug at my heart.
One of my favorite concerts EVER. April Wine and Eddie Money around 1982. Fantastic show.
