Great vid. Always good to replace the thermal paste under the DFI module when taking off the coils. The stops the heat from getting into the module and coils.
@unclesmate Well electical grease could just be silicon grease to lubricate points and connections. You need Thermal conductivilty paste, like the one used on CPU processors.
Best to change DFI Module at the same time as coil packs. Genuine holden coil packs are more reliable. My 2002 Vy ecotec has about 380000km and still has original coil packs. Will be changing soon with genuine parts, not aftermarket rubbish.
Not sure about the brand but you can get a set of three coil pack by Delphi for $83 (www.ebay.com.au/itm/193218928111?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=G3F6mOULSXm&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=tZiQELOaTRy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY) I have heard they are a decent brand. Or if you have abit of wiggle room ngk ranges from 80-120 depending on sales etc
@@dismissedtub6717 I'm just doing my vt calais supercharged up now. I can't believe how much I've been ripped off from mechanics I got charged $533 to change a bracket on mine I just had to fix it again I paid $85 for the same bracket I just need a few more pulleys ans a power steering rack fix and she's back.

@unclesmate Umm no. You but it between the DFI module and the alloy plate that is bolted to the engine.
Can these Mace coils fit to the stock module underneath? My Cylinders are fine but my coils are all on their way out
yea the mace ones go straight onto the stock dfi module

Hey bro my cars missing a cylinder and we replaced the spark plugs and leads could this be the problem
?
maybe, if you know what cylinder is missing you could try swaping the coils over with another one to see if the missing cylinder changes i think.
are the mace coils worth it? any power gain or differences? cheers
I didn’t notice any difference. I just bought mace because they are reliable.
Cheers
Great lesson
