Hey mate, how would I know if my alternators failed? The battery light just stayed on while driving so I'm not sure if it's time to change the battery (which is due around now) or if its the alternator, or both?

so what you can do if you have a multimeter touch the negative and positive terminals on the battery and see if you get a reading around 12.6 without the car running and have left it off for about an hour. or you can take the battery to supercheap and they do a free battery check which can tell you if the battery is bad.
to check the alternator, put the multimeter on the battery and see if its around 12.6 if so go and start the care and you should see the multimeter go from 12 to around 14 if it doesn't that usually indicates towards a bad alternator.
      hopefully this helps

G'day, here from your Serpentine belt video.
Don't suppose you recall the length of the belt, was it 2815mm by any chance? (2.815m)
    Cheers. 👍

I’m pretty sure the one I used was 2830mm. Because with the way the part number is 6pk means how many ribs are on the belt (so 6 ribs) and then the 2830 means how long it is (2830mm).
I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s how it works.
