- I'm not above accepting charity while braving the frozen wastes of post-apocalyptic Canada, but even an inveterate loot goblin like me can't help but feel a tinge of guilt at this. This happened at the Hushed River Valley bunker as part of the Signal Void quest in the Tales from the Far Territory DLC. I entered with one firestriker and left with EIGHT. Clips can only be a minute long, though, so I squeezed in the last six. The first firestriker I found was in the workbench at the front of the room. This was on Stalker, so it can't be written off as Pilgrim-level loot. I filed a bug report with Hinterland, but if they want to leave this one unfixed I'm certainly not going to complain. I mean, I'm as happy to accept the game's generosity as the next TLD player, but even a loot goblin like me has a point at which it just gets embarrassing.

Sure enough. Clearly I was blinded by the cavalcade of firestrikers and failed to register it. I'm pretty sure I had a mag lens at this point, but if not I'll know where to find one.

Loot RNG is wild sometimes. Some days you get nonsense like this, others you're hundreds of days into a run and still can't find a dang mag lens.

Beach combing is pretty great. Did you try juggling the hatchets? I feel like if the game is going to bless you with that sort of abundance, it's a moral imperative to do something memorable with them.

I'm not about to complain. That run hit 500 days and I still haven't used up all those firestrikers. As terrifyingly weird as the animals can act after updates, I'll take some nuttiness in the player's favor.
under normal conditions it looks almost impossible. you need to find hundreds of items to get 1 firestriker. if we optimistically say the chance is 1/100 (I'd say it is much lower) then getting 6 firestrikers is 1 in 10^12 that is 1/ a million millions. chances to win the lottery is 10,000 times higher (around 1/100 million). TLD has very solid random generation where you don't see duplicates but there might be an easy explanation for someone who has insight into the code, maybe erraneously several identical random seeds were overlooked. or the containers are treated to be all the same container.
What I'm hearing is that I should start buying lottery tickets. Roger wilco.

Got a backpack full of these things. And yet not one single pea coat in 2 years of play throughs, despite the constant loading screen tip telling me they are pretty good.
Surprising you haven't found one in that time, but you're probably not missing that much. Peacoats are good against wind and water, but the name of the game is warmth. A regular parka or ski jacket could do about as well without the extra weight, I think.

Absolutely. Firestrikers don't need gatekeeping. And if one day you decide you want seven firestrikers, I will support that choice, too.

This is the Tales bunker in Hushed River Valley, the one you have to find with the little handheld device during an aurora to access. Or were you looking for a more precise location?
