For the step dial, I believe there is an option for the ring that fills in as you reach a goal. Pretty neat!

Really useful. Just one thing I discovered today. When you drag the dials you mentioned that you can't see where you drop it because of the finger: but if you touch the screen with 2 fingers and remove the finger covering the dial, you'll then be able to see where you're dropping it....still, an alignment tool would be super nice
That's a helpful tip! It would definitely be useful if we could get an alignment tool or visuals or something.
One thing I've seen people do is to create a copy of their desired background image but with dials/circles built into it. Then they drag the dials onto those circles to make sure they're all in the right place. When they're happy with it, they just switch the background image to the original version without the circles. It's a bit tedious, but it's one way to get everything aligned properly.

Thanks Zaeem for the video. Question for custom faces/layout when in stopwatch (chronograph) mode does the custom face remain? Or does it default to a fossil face?
Great question! The watch stays on the stopwatch screen when you're using the stopwatch. You can switch back to the homescreen whenever you want (the stopwatch will keep running in the background) and it will still be your custom watch face. It doesn't default back to a Fossil face.

Good question! For the time being, you can only switch watch faces using the Fossil app on your phone. Maybe they'll change it in a future update.

Hi, I only came across your channel earlier today while searching for videos about this watch and I must say, your videos are really high quality and very informative.
Also, I've got a few questions about it:
1) is the screen bright enough to be seen easily outdoors?
2) is the heart rate monitor live and does it reflect your heart rate as it changes in real time or does it measure it every few seconds or minutes and change accordingly?
3) can alarms be set on the watch itself, or does it have to be done through the phone then synced to the watch afterwards?

Thanks! As for your questions:
1) Yes, the screen is super readable outdoors. Sometimes you get a reflection on the glass display that might make it hard to read, but unless the light's shining directly on the watch, you'll have no trouble seeing the display. (For reference, there's a bright LED shining down on the Hybrid HR in most of my videos. I just angle the watch so the reflection doesn't show up on camera.)
2) The heart rate monitor checks the heart rate regularly but not constantly. I'm not sure how often it checks, but I think it's every 60 seconds or so. You can flick your wrist to refresh it manually and get an up-to-date reading whenever you want.
3) Alarms on the watch can only be set through the Fossil app on the phone. If you check out my Notifications video, I show you how that works: ruclips.net/video/-pyo3BsBRZ4/видео.html (It's near the 15:30 mark)

Good question! The Simple watch face is a Fossil preset and you can apply it from the Gallery, which I show at the 24:40 mark. It's the first watch face on the second row.

Since last update I'm also interested in purchasing a Fossil HR Hybrid, I have yet to decide between Collider/Neutra/Latitude.
My question: do you have any experience with fogging of these models? I'm quite worried about it.. 😬
It seems many people have experienced a fogging issue, but I've never noticed it myself. For what it's worth, I've gone for walks wearing my watch during the hot summer months and these past few days while it's been snowing, and I have had zero issues with visibility or condensation etc.
is there any way to make all these Kuro watchfaces available n the Skagen Hybrid Jorn? Same watch, same company behind, just another label. Unfortunately it is not possible to connect my watch mit the fossil app - only with the skagen app which is the same but is not adressed by these watchface downloads....??? any workaround??? pull these faces out as .face files and put in some folder anywhere manually?
That's an excellent question! Unfortunately, I don't know how to get those watch faces on the Skagen Hybrid. You could ask the watch face designer if they can share the image files with you.
Hey @zaeem Siddiqui brother how to manage the correct time..I tried to collaborate it and sone it but when m collaborating its showing the right but once I done it ..it’s again showing the 18minutes delay in watch…what to do?
That's a good question! I'm not sure why the time would show an 18-minute delay even after you've calibrated it. Have you tried contacting Fossil for support?
Hi! I have just bought this watch and it's great... but loses connection with my Google Pixel 3a phone quite easily. Maybe 7-8 feet and the disconnected icon comes up (then pairs again when you get closer). A pain for notification alerts. Is this the same for you or do you think I could have a faulty example?
I've been using it with the original Pixel and I haven't had too many issues with disconnection. Maybe it's a Bluetooth issue with the phone instead of the watch. Have you tried unpairing the watch and then pairing it again?
@@ZaeemSiddiqui Thanks for the reply. I think the phone is fine having now tried all sorts, plus it worked fine with my last smartwatch. I suspect that either a) it's faulty and I should return and a get a replacement or b) I have set my expectations too high with regards to the Bluetooth range of the watch versus previous watches I've had.
When aligning my features, I set the dash circle to get lines and line them up according to the position I want them...
That's a great tip! Hopefully, they'll add an option for dials to snap into place in a new update.
My recently purchased Collider has a completely different interface. Version 5.12. I dont see a 4 complications versions anywhere in the Fossil gallery. I am trying to duplicate the Herokuapp style you show in one of your other videos that shows a white ring inside the permanent ring that has 4 bumpouts for data fields at 3,6,9 and 12.
Hi, Brian. I'm sorry you're having some trouble with the watchface. I've answered your question on my other video with a step-by-step guide to customize your dials.

Looking to buy this watch, I want the brown strap but don't want the brown screen. Do I need to buy the black watch to avoid this?
Good question! That's what I did because I wanted a brown strap but not the brown screen/glass. There are other options as well, but not all of them have the glow-in-the-dark hands.
Loved all your videos in this series... I have one question, can I set a random time on my watch like I like my watch 10 mins fast... or can I change it to a completely random time at any given moment?

And will changing the time on my phone automatically update the time on my watch?
Interesting question! The watch syncs the time with your phone, so there's no way to set it to a specific time. If the time on your phone changes, the watch will update to match when it syncs.
BUT, there is a workaround. If you want the watch to be 10 minutes ahead, you could go into the Calibration settings on the Fossil app and move the minute hand forward 10 minutes. That'll set the watch to show the time 10 minutes ahead.
The only problem is that whenever you enter a menu or read a notification, the watch hands won't be at the usual 9 and 3 positions, but will be at 9 and 5 instead. That might end up blocking bits of the notification/menu.

I know it's a weird question but i have a very specific use case for it! thank you so much in advance!
So I just changed the time manually on my phone and the watch instantly updated to match. It didn't vibrate or anything, and I didn't even have to open the Fossil app. It did it by itself the moment I changed the time.

That would be really cool! I don't think there's a way to do that yet, but they might introduce something like that in a future update.

Great question! The smartwatch is called the Fossil Hybrid HR Collider. The step counter is relatively accurate, but it's not as accurate as a dedicated fitness tracker like a Fitbit.
Is there a template I can import into MS Paint t for adjust scales of photos? Watching your video it took me about 30 minutes to create my first face.
There's no template as such, but you can check out the Fossil Hybrid subreddit and see what other watch face designers are doing to create their designs: www.reddit.com/r/FossilHybrids.
It can definitely be a challenge creating a good-looking watch face-as you can probably tell by my hideous design!
@@ZaeemSiddiqui for my purpose yesterday I took an already created face and copied it to my PC. From there I just cleaned it up to create a canvas. I created a face within 20 minutes. For creating the app could certainly use a grid and user controlled snap function. Your videos on the HR are awesome.

@@ZaeemSiddiquijust to make sure I was on the right track I took a png logo for the US Navy Blue Angels and inserted that onto the template, emailed that file to my phone, then installed on my watch. I probably took the long road but it works. In CAD I've designed for fun automobile wheels so that's giving me some inspiration. This is my first HR watch and I've had it only 2 days.

Good question! The Hybrid HR will show the current time even if your phone's Bluetooth is off. Basic functions (stopwatch, timer, step tracking etc.) will also work without Bluetooth, but you won't get any notifications or be able to control your phone's media.
Does anyone know about the green neutra hybrid watch? I can’t find any videos on this one and wondered how the E-ink part would look against the green
I have one. Despite some old promo images it does not have green eink. It is the normal black and white panel. I really like the colour combo with the green ring.

i do not find steps in features menu while i am customizing. but in build in watch face i found the steps. why?
That's an interesting question. I'm not sure why that is. Does it do that for every watch face?
Apparently the app for Skagen watches seems the same but doesn't have as many options as the fossil app. For example I can't seem to be able to resize dials at all, big shame

Great question! Another commenter had a similar issue, where the weather would just keep loading and then just show "Request Timeout" all the time.
I think the solution is to add Weather as a shortcut for one of the side buttons and it will ask you to Choose a City. Once you've selected a city, it should start working.
(After that, you can remove it as a shortcut if you want. You only need to set it the first time so it selects a city.)
You will need to give the watch permission to read it from your phone (message permission).
How to change the size of the features (steps, temperature etc)? This is a major thing as those are very hard to read now. If it cannot be done I will have to sell this watch which is a pitty because it looks great and has great features otherwise. The contrast is also too little.
Great question! You can change the the text size of notifications (see this video for what it looks like: ruclips.net/video/gNDLwQWrEmM/видео.html) but it does not change the text size of the dials or Settings menu etc. It only works for notifications.
If your contrast isn't good, it could be an issue with the watch display itself. You could check with Fossil directly or maybe post a question in the Fossil Hybrids subreddit (www.reddit.com/r/FossilHybrids) and see if anyone else has a similar issue.
Fossil collider or One plus smart watch - which one is better?
I have not used the OnePlus Watch myself, but I feel like they cater to different users.
Brother, any idea how to see the second time zone after enabling it in the features section?
If you flick your wrist, it will show you the time in the second time zone for 15 seconds. Then it will go back to the "+3h" or whatever the number is compared to your time zone. I think the reason it doesn't show the current time all the time is to save battery (otherwise it would be refreshing the dial every minute).
@@ZaeemSiddiqui but when i flick it, it just moves the arms to 9 and 3 positions so that i can see the notifications. Not showing alternate time zone
Is the timezone a dial on your main/home screen? When you flick your wrist on the home screen, the time zone dial should show you the current time in that time zone. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work.

Is it me or is the minute hand not aligned correctly with the indicators?
It might be the camera angle in this video, but the watch hands do sometimes drift and need to be recalibrated to make sure they line up properly again.

Excellent question! They seem to be identical but the Skagen doesn't use the same Fossil app, so it doesn't get access to the Fossil watch faces. You also can't apply watch faces that other users have created and shared.

Great question!
You can set the timer as a shortcut for one of the side buttons so it's easy to access. When the timer ends, the watch will vibrate to let you know, even if you're back on the homescreen or reading a notification etc.
An easier way to get a Pomodoro alarm system might be to install a Pomodoro app on your phone and let it send notifications to the Hybrid HR for each alarm session.

I haven't experienced the condensation problem myself, but maybe they've fixed it in some of the newer designs/models.
I think they fixed it now. Because I've been using a Fossil HR Latitude for almost two weeks and i haven't ever seen condensation in mine. And i live in Canada.

How can you use more than 4 dials?
Great question! There was a glitch that allowed people to create watch faces with more than 4 dials. You can use those watch faces to get 5 - 6 dials, but it might affect battery life.

The Fossil app should automatically update on your phone and update the Hybrid HR's software as well.

Good question! You can't add a seconds app, but the Hybrid HR does have Stopwatch and Timer apps if you that's what you're looking for.

Great question! I'm hearing that the new software version (v5.0) has removed sharing watch faces, so maybe that's why you don't see an option for it? My watch hasn't been updated yet, so I don't know what else has changed with the update.
If you're still on an older version, the Share option should appear when you open the Gear Icon Menu (it's at 1:29 in this video). If you tap Share in that menu, it automatically creates a link to the wf-store.fossil..... website for you to share your watch face with people. That includes the dial placement/design and the side-button shortcuts.

also as far as I can tell, the broken feature you mentioned: "do not disturb" is working for me. I got my fossil hybrid hr a couple months ago, and it's working alright!
