I feel like matcha tends to be an intimidating drink and a lot of people think it's difficult to make, but it's not! And the benefits are SO GOOD. Even since filming this video I've been re-inspired to drink more matcha daily :)

the coffee bean barista was the one that told me starbucks uses green tea syrup and CB uses powder. Never wasted money on a matcha frapp frm starbucks ever! haha
The matcha at starbucks has a ton of sugar added! It’s crazy. I started making at home with stevia or monk fruit.
the starbuck s one is more than 50% sugar but its so addicting lol

Most people don’t realize that the matcha mix Starbucks uses is mostly sugar. It’s actually unhealthy for you, it’s sad because that’s where the majority of people source their matcha intake. People that get their own matcha powder don’t realize they need to be buying ceremonial grade as opposed to culinary. Matcha is magical I just wish the good kind was more affordable/accessible (aka at Starbucks). 😂
I have been using that frother forever, it's the BEST!! nothing compares, unless you have some big fancy espresso machine...even then..not sure..lol. Great recipe!!

It's a little below of the required 176 temps for matcha but it works! I looked up the temp for what the Nespresso frother did and it only gets to 170. I tried it out today with my Nespresso Frother and worked like a charm!! Delicious! Thank you so much for this easy hack. Also, that almond milk is the best!

Just bought some at Costco which is organic. I just guessed on my own yesterday and it tasted like grass water. Then did almond latte but put matcha in w/o dissolving in hot water. So now watching you much - much better.

Also another pro of matcha is that it doesn’t stain your teeth! I’m on Invisalign as well as a whitening treatment and can’t have anything that stains my teeth, bummer! I am so addicted to drinking hot green tea, but it stains my teeth. So I substituted it with matcha and now I just have a couple glasses of plain hot matcha everyday and it’s perfect!🙌🏻🙌🏻

Will it taste the same if you don’t have that frother machine?
I could not find a really good matcha latte near me (which is sad I thought some of the vegan cafes would have decent ones) so i just make my own. I like the taste of matcha and I feel like a lot of places make them too weak and I can only taste the milk. Good matcha powder is pricey though and I go through an 100g bag in a little over a month lol

Dr. Mona, will you make a video of why energy drinks are bad for you? My mom’s husband loves them and drinks it more than once a day. I told him it’s bad for him and he said no it’s just caffeine with added vitamins and there’s no sugar.. so he said it’s good for him. He said it’s like coffee with added vitamins. Will you make video with reference? Cause he will definitely question it otherwise.

A good quality ceremonial grade matcha is not bitter at all.

I would only use ceremonial for actual lattes.
