Hi Gavin, if I am in a meeting with my front camera on and the meeting is being recorded by the host, would this still record what was going on with my screen at the time ? I did not enable screen sharing, only my front video camera. Thanks!
Hi Gavin. Can we have pause button in recording meetings? Sometimes we don't want to record in between discussion during the meeting. I know we can trim the recording later but pause button will make the life easier :)
HI Matma - i replied to the same question you posted on another video, but I've posted the reply here for completeness: Hi Matma - this is not available at the moment and the best place to offer suggestions is via UserVoice (microsoftteams.uservoice.com/) as Microsoft monitors this for what heir customers want to see in the product. In the meantime, if you do not want to trim, you could stop the recording and start it again. You will end up with two videos rather than one but might help cut out the discussion you do not want to record.
Great video Gavin, thank you. Is it possible to share the video via Teams / SharePoint page to someone outside the organisation by making them a member of the team? What permissions would they need. Also, should the 'My Groups' option in Stream show your Teams or do you need to create Outlook Groups for this to work? Thanks in anticipation.
Hi Nick. Stream does not support external viewers yet, which surprisingly also includes guest members in a Team. A workaround is to download the video (assuming it is already in Stream) and add the files to the files tab - you could also use the file viewer web-part in a SP page to embed the video (rather than the Stream web-part). The My Groups section should show your Teams, but you will have to search for them (and as shown the search is pretty clunky i.e. start with the start of the exact Team name
What if the record option doesn’t even show at times. It’s sporadic and sometimes shows and sometimes doesn’t. That clearly isn’t a configuration. It’s buggy

No, the recording will only record what is shared in the meeting, so if you are not sharing your screen it will not be recorded.

In stream or in PowerPoint?
@@MeeTime in stream
great video but this is a woeful tool to teach anything with, message gets lost in the tech.
PowerPoint recording studio should be coming out this year that might help: ruclips.net/video/ggK0KuHY6sw/видео.html
