  • Create your own training videos with no additional software! Use Microsoft Teams to record your own How-to videos and training material for your organization, then share within your company.
This is a great solution for regular users who don't have the admin privileges to install 3rd party screen recording software.

Hi there. At about the 4 minute mark when you show your recording, your thumbnail is at the bottom right of your screen. When I try to make a recording, my thumbnail is larger and directly to the right of my screen. I find that distracting. How do I get my thumbnail to be positioned the way yours is on the bottom right?

Hi, my company uses Teams. Are these video recording features and editing/publishing/sharing across company features available to all companies that use Teams or is this a special add on to Teams? Only available to some companies that pay for this feature?

This should be a feature that is available for all users *UNLESS* your company is jumpy about security and has disabled the functionality by default (which is unwise IMO). If that is the case for you, you should be able to gain access no problem by submitting a request to IT.

Hi, I don’t have the option for trimming the video. Do you know the reason?

In order to trim your video, just download it from Stream and then use the built in 'Photos' app in Windows to edit. Photos has a video editor tool that is simple but gets the job done. It's how I made this video!

What if you have 2 screens

You can only show one screen at a time, so I'd recommend dragging content from your other screen into the sharing window briefly when you want to show what you're looking at.
