Am I the only one who doesn’t remember skinny jeans being low rise? I remember them being high rise. 🤷♀️ you gotta be careful with the high rise, they can make the butt look long. I said what I said lol… mid rise is a good middle ground.
I've been wearing high waisted flare for a decade and it used to be a challenge to find but not so over the past 5 years. My favorite pair are from Citizens of Humanity. The fit is perfect, along with the denim.
I agree. It all depends on your height and body shape. I am 5.1 and short waisted but because my legs are longer than my mid section I wear a regular bottoms and petite tops. A “low rise” almost hits my belly button and a “high rise” hits under my bra and makes my butt look ridiculously long! Just picture the back of bra band down😂 Not good.
Do you ever notice the shortened zippers on a lot of budget jeans including the express ones you love? They make the crotch area look weird and just look cheap. Most more expensive brands do longer zippers but one budget friendly is Gap. I've been noticing this lately on most jeans that are budget friendly it must cut costs to do a shortened zipper and then when they're high waisted with a short zipper you're left with a line all the way down to the crotch it just looks odd
Following trends is a waste of money and I do not understand why people follow them. Fashion goals round and round and round what was out last year is back in style 3 years later where would you want to wear and keep it moving That's my model. All these RUclipsrs telling you what's not going to be in style and what not to wear next year That's their opinion that's not a fact. When they start paying for your wardrobe that's when you should listen to them
Cropped flare look ridiculous on EVERYONE! Whenever I see them I think, 'WHAT are they thinking?" haha GREAT video! I LOVE the burgundy set with the charcoal jeans! GORGEOUS!
I never once wore any denim ripped with holes etc...why would i want to look lile I am wearing rags...it NEVER was an elegant look. I dont care if designers showed it, many often show ridiculous things that suit no one. I also have never worn low or midrise.
I just don't like flared jeans! Everyone has a different body shape and personal style and I happen look best in skinny jeans and I do have a couple pairs of cargo but not crazy about them
So sick of ankle jeans, ripped jeans, and the crop flare. Never did buy a pair of the flared crop pants! Honestly, I don’t mean to sound snotty, but Heather you would look good in anything! You are gorgeous
Heather, question 🙋♀️: what’s the difference between a) Flare jeans 👖 b) skinny flare c) Bell 🛎️ bottoms and d) wide leg jeans 👖? I’ve been pondering 🤔 over this question 🙋♀️ for a long time and thought 💭 I’d ask my favorite ❤️ experts, to maybe address it in a RUclips shorts or something, if they think it’s worth their time that is! Lol 😂!! Thanks 😊, Amy
If you are petite and a very lean, tight, and cut gym rat, I think a lower rise is more flattering. I don’t want my butt to look like the side of a barn, which is what high rise does. I also think high rise makes even thin women look like they have a belly pooch. A great example is Jen A. in the movie The break-up. I’m sure you could bounce a quarter of her toosh and the low rise jeans she wears throughout that movie really show off her slammin figure. Consumers aren’t buying low rise styles thanks to the” body positivity “movement. Obviously if you don’t keep your abs flat you aren’t going to wear low rise, and you shouldn’t.
At 70 I am not that trendy. I love the Boyfriend jeans from JJill. I am very tall at 5 ft 10 inches and they fit me just right. Some are a touch distressed, those are good, but no rips for me. Most of my pants and jeans come from JJill. Perfect clothes for women who are my age to be stylish and comfortable. And they carry tall and plus sized clothes for us chicks who aren’t model thin. I exercise and eat a good diet, but it is difficult to keep in shape.
Get rid of low rise and mid rise. High rise is perfect for me with an hour glass figure - 35x25x36. The little tummy pooch is held in and there is no muffin top!
Youg people are call high waist jeans mama and grandma Jeans well I agree with them if you have any belly fat the high waist jeans will definitely show it midrise are good has anyone notice how there are always lots of high-rise Jeans in the stores so maybe just go with what looks good on you you can't follow trends because these are just other people's opinions just like me giving mine.
I have never liked low rise. I prefer my bottom covered and shaped properly. I don’t like worn or ripped jeans . I prefer dark denim since it gives you a slimming look. I don’t mind the cargo jeans but again they need to look flattering. Crop demon never looked stylish to me. Heather have a great week and thank you for your style.
Love skinny jeans-I have always seen them high waisted If People are wise -they won’t listen to People/trendsetters If You keep on following Some of These fools-You Will keep on throwing away Your clothes and ends up in the poor house Do Your Own thing and stop 🛑 listening to Others
Where is the white belt from your wearing that wraps around. Thanks, luv your channel. Trying to change my style, 70yrs. Old, youthful with limited budget!
I don't own even ONE pair of jeggings/skinny jeans. Hated them from the very start and couldn't wait for NORMAL jeans to come back. Good riddance! I also never understood why ANYONE would purchase ripped jeans at all.
The high or midrise modern skinny or straight leg are my favorites. I can’t have too much bulk on the bottom because I was a swimmer and am an inverted triangle body shape. With that said, I knew the cropped flair would never work for me, even though I’m 5’7”. Like you, my philosophy is YOU DO YOU!
@@downtownmegbrown It’s just CRAZY being 2 sizes larger on top and having a flat bottom. My rib cage is huge and if I don’t accommodate my shoulders and rib cage shirts pull in the middle. I guess we all have something we have to deal with!
I think it depends more on your body type . The lady in the 1st picture looked really good in her low rise jeans . They fit her very well. I get your “trying styles” or to be in style but the light wash jeans you had on looked good ,the others. Not so much. ( your body shape doesn’t work in those jeans) to make high rise jeans look right. Makes you look 3/4 sizes bigger than you are. They’re not flattering at all on you That’s why I think it all depends on your shape. Maybe you’d look better in low rise jeans. But wear what you like.
To me the cuffed Jean is the same deal as the cropped flare…..also baggy pants….not for me…especially in the trouser realm….at 5’2” not happening….but I love the gold sprayed denim cropped jacket….bomb 🙂❤⭐🙏🏼
I made my own cuffed jeans bought a pair of men’s relaxed straight leg jeans that were super long and instead of cutting and hemming I cuffed and hand stitched the edges
i feel skinny jeans are more practical in comparison to other styles. Like you can run and walk in the rain more comfortably without the ankle hems getting soiled. They also go well with most tops.
Hi Heather! I agree with low rise denim, I can’t stand it, it makes me feel like my pants are falling down! I even have trouble wearing mid-rise because I got so used to high rise jeans that when I wear my one pair of mid-rise jeans, I am always trying to pull them up!🤣anyways you look fabulous as always!❤
I like cropped jeans because I’m women’s jeans they are never long enough so I crop them. But I’ve now figured out I can wear men’s jeans and easier to find a 34” inseam. I now have several full length jeans in my wardrobe so I don’t have to do cropped anymore. Yay
I love cropped flares lol I’m short and curvy and they balance me. I do own high waisted flares. I don’t think they look good on everybody but I enjoy them.
Thanks Heather! I love hearing your thoughts on fashion. I personally like the cropped flare, but I understand it’s not for many. I also like a little distressed, but my overly distressed I won’t be wearing anymore. My favorite jean style is a high rise or mid rise boot or flare cut, I also love a split leg hem. I’m still in the need for a good barrel jean. Thanks again, love all your outfits. You’re gorgeous!❤❤
Question: off topic. I see you in a loose knit cardigan and can’t help notice it has pulled threads. How can you detect a knit that will not get pulls?? Trying to find out when choosing a lower price point garment
My absolute favorite was trend #5. ❤ I have three pairs of high waisted flared jeans and they’re my favorite style by far. I tried to like the cropped flare, but just didn’t like the way it made my legs look so short, especially being that I’m 5’0”. 😂
Moussy is my favorite. Fantastic quality, and always fits like a glove. Mid-rise straight is the best for me. Can’t do high rise - too tight for my rectangle body.
Trends are just that....trends. I think it is important to create your own style. I definitely do not want to look like everyone else. I am not a fan of the cropped flares. My favorite jeans right now are the trouser type jeans, wide leg or straight. I am not loyal to any brand of jeans. I have overly ripped jeans in my closet although I haven't worn them for a while. It doesn't have anything to do with trends. If I look and want to put a particular feel together, I will grab them. I like the cargo pants; I have 2 and plan to still wear them.
I am currently most loving my high rise barrel jeans. I wish they’d stay current forever. They are so flattering on my body type. (Long torso, pear shaped)
Thanks Heather!! Always great tips from you🙏 My fave go to jeans are 7 for all mankind, Frame, A Golde, & Paige. Love Mother as well. And thanks to you I have one pair of Skyscraper jeans in my rotation now. I really resonate with your style and am grateful that I found your videos here. I too am 5’4” and love clothes and shoes that help me look taller and slimmer. Thanks again and sending positive vibes for your divorce to go smoothly and quickly. 💜😇
I love those Alice and Olivia jeans, but not for $300+! I bought some Agolde ripped jeans and they started ripping even more on their own. Never spent that much money on jeans as I did with them, and not much later they were already going out of style. I guess I gambled on more of a fad with those so, Express is more in my budget. I found some high waisted wide leg jeans that I got from them. The material is heavier than normal and I don't like the pockets but I can stitch them closed so they don't pop out on the side. Other than that I love them and they didn't break the bank. " Thanks for video, Heather🎉😊🎉
Always interesting to hear other people's takes on things . I just wear what I like now , whether or not it suits me 😅 or what's fashionable. I love watching haul videos etc , but never follow advice ha ha .
I agree with you...I wear what I like too. I wouldn't spend a dime on any high rise jeans...for me they are the most uncomfortable pants on the planet! And I'm pretty sure no one thinks my legs come up to my ribs! I do my own thing...always have.
This was fantastic Heather! I loved you best in the burgundy blazer/turtleneck combo. You made my day to hear the cropped flares are out. They were never in with me. Going to order that denim gold jacket right now so thanks for that.

I will be totally glad to see the ripped jeans go out of style, I refuse to buy jeans that are already ripped. I hate that look.
Am I the only one who doesn’t remember skinny jeans being low rise? I remember them being high rise. 🤷♀️ you gotta be careful with the high rise, they can make the butt look long. I said what I said lol… mid rise is a good middle ground.
Exactly…don’t remember that either. Mid-rise is universally flattering!
I certainly do remember low rise skinny jeans. They’re awful.
I do remember them too. So unflattering!
Oh gosh, I remember them and the dreaded muffin top they created.
I think your personal style advice is not for everyone . 😂
I absolutely HATE high waisted jeans & absolutely LOVE low rise baggy jeans! 😂😂😂🤷🏼♀️ wide leg jeans…. Not for me!
Barrel leg jeans are probably the most unflattering jeans, hope they go out of style soon…I feel they make everyone look bow legged.🤷🏽♀️
I've been wearing high waisted flare for a decade and it used to be a challenge to find but not so over the past 5 years. My favorite pair are from Citizens of Humanity. The fit is perfect, along with the denim.
What about Mom Jeans!!! I can't stand them and nobody looks good in them!!
Please include mid rise jeans in your suggestions. Not all of us look goog in high waisted styles
The second pair are midrise and so good! Here is the link >> rstyle.me/+6GWW9ulIXAEKolTsdXVVzA
I agree.
It all depends on your height and body shape.
I am 5.1 and short waisted but because my legs are longer than my mid section I wear a regular bottoms and petite tops.

Many of us are too short waisted for high waisted jeans. MID- rise are hard to find sometimes, so recommendations would be gr8!

I've been noticing this lately on most jeans that are budget friendly it must cut costs to do a shortened zipper and then when they're high waisted with a short zipper you're left with a line all the way down to the crotch it just looks odd

The Wow Jeans fit so nice, but I always size down one size due to stretch.

Still wearing my Stella McCartney high waisted bell bottoms from 18 years ago 😂
I would love a modern slim jean under $80. They are all expensive.
Kut by the cloth. High waisted and mid length. I buy at the goodwill for 5.00
Love your style wish I can order what you suggest but this is not possible living in Lebanon but I always try to find something similar

Nice video, love your style, thanks for sharing
I forgot about them low rise skinny jeans 😄
Love the red jacket on you. Would love to see more red clothes on you.
Love the burgundy!
I was hoping you would do an updated denim video! ❤
you have very elegant and cool style
Any idea where one can find these jeans in the UK?
I love those Alice and Olivia jeans, but not for $300+!
I bought some Agolde ripped jeans and they started ripping even more on their own. Never spent that much money on jeans as I did with them, and not much later they were already going out of style. I guess I gambled on more of a fad with those so, Express is more in my budget. I found some high waisted wide leg jeans that I got from them. The material is heavier than normal and I don't like the pockets but I can stitch them closed so they don't pop out on the side. Other than that I love them and they didn't break the bank. "
Thanks for video, Heather🎉😊🎉
Do they carry 98-100% cotton jeans?
Always interesting to hear other people's takes on things . I just wear what I like now , whether or not it suits me 😅 or what's fashionable. I love watching haul videos etc , but never follow advice ha ha .
I agree with you...I wear what I like too. I wouldn't spend a dime on any high rise jeans...for me they are the most uncomfortable pants on the planet! And I'm pretty sure no one thinks my legs come up to my ribs! I do my own thing...always have.
Always love your vedios ❤
You're nice and cool !!!❤
Love this video❤
Yes!!! High waisted flare! Bring back the flare! Looks so good on everybody!
This was fantastic Heather! I loved you best in the burgundy blazer/turtleneck combo. You made my day to hear the cropped flares are out. They were never in with me. Going to order that denim gold jacket right now so thanks for that.
