Pointy shoes are good for stompin' cockroaches in the corner and not much else (IMHO). Life is too short to wear uncomfortable shoes. P.S. - Bunion surgery is expensive! There were some funny-lookin' heels on some of those boots. A stacked heel provides stability, whereas a stiletto is easy to tip and can literally punch holes in some floors. (I've seen the damage!) That means they're not distributing your weight evenly, leaving you OFF BALANCE (and contributing to back pain).
Some fools who sit around taking drugs and they come up with stupid ideas and unfortunately if the right famous people decide to embrace these ideas and the public goes along.
Unsure why folks watch and comment upon “what is out of style” videos if it truly makes no difference to them. Some think fashion is fun and will take and leave what they like and don’t each season.

It's 09/03/2024 and I wore all pink today. Pink blouse, pink pants. I get so many compliments on this outfit because the color is so flattering to my skin. I too, will wear this color whenever I choose to.👍

Thank you!! I'm excited about the new trends. I worked retail for 20 years. When I decided to stay home with my kids 21 years ago, after my first son, i worked one day a week for 3 years to get and help an old DM. I'm 54 with kids 9, 9, 10, 12, 13, and 18. I was concerned about looking like a fashion don't. I'm well put together when I leave the house. Thanks again for the tips!
I'm excited that burgundy and red is gonna take over this fall season because i love burgundy and the wine color. I already have some pieces in my wardrobe in that color and they make me feel so pretty when i wear them! I agree with square toe and SOME pointed toe shoes. This is a good list.
I appreciate all types of silhouettes, it just depends on how you style it. The barrel shape pants are very, very hard to pull off-frumpy on most builds.
I replaced the white shoelaces in my white sneakers with burgundy laces. Love the look. Burgundy and navy my favorite combo in fall/winter. Looking forward to cooler weather I have to say. Less bugs too :).
I am gonna save a ton of money this season cause, none of that will find it’s way into my wardrobe. That denim jacket with the bow is beyond ridiculous. That is gonna go out of style before November is over.
The good thing about reviewing current seasonal trends is their inspiration for new ways to style the items already in your closet. They also provide a heads-up for what's going to be featured in stores, so you can stock up on items that suit you and haven't been widely available for a while.
Great video! I thought I would NEVER stray from skinny jeans, but I found a pair of barrel leg jeans, and they are so comfortable! I waited to cut the tags off until I tried them on for my husband. He’s brutally honest, and he thought they were cute, so I’m in! Afterthought: I’ll stop wearing pink (especially hot pink) when they peel it off my dead body. It’s a great color for me, and I love it.
I just can't get into leopard print, it looks so cheap to me. Reminds me of gaudy 80s clothes or the clearance rack at Walmart. Love brown or ivory sneakers thought :) And I couldn't be happier that skinny jeans are out!

Hmmm...I wear 9-10 shoes and I like my pointy toes. I have a pair of pointy cowboy boots that are so much fun to wear with dresses!
I hope you're tall.
Makes feet look really big
Pointy shoes are good for stompin' cockroaches in the corner and not much else (IMHO).
Life is too short to wear uncomfortable shoes.
P.S. - Bunion surgery is expensive!
There were some funny-lookin' heels on some of those boots.
A stacked heel provides stability, whereas a stiletto is easy to tip and can literally punch holes in some floors. (I've seen the damage!) That means they're not distributing your weight evenly, leaving you OFF BALANCE (and contributing to back pain).
I totally dislike the ragged jeans. Who thinks worn out clothes look good?
Lol!
I used to wear out my own 😅
I wear out my jeans myself!
Do you mean the crazy holes, or the frayed cut offs? Because I'm short, so that's a lotta what I have 😂
Some fools who sit around taking drugs and they come up with stupid ideas and unfortunately if the right famous people decide to embrace these ideas and the public goes along.
I never like the ripped jeans
Goodwill. Thrift stores. Cut them up yourself. Cheap .
Looking
Never fell for that trend!!! Ugh!!!
The classic denim jacket will outlive these trends. Also, I haven’t seen post bow blouses since the 80’s.
Lol, sorry,
Pink is NEVER out of style with me!
I'm too old to worry about what I'm wearing
Never too old.
Unsure why folks watch and comment upon “what is out of style” videos if it truly makes no difference to them. Some think fashion is fun and will take and leave what they like and don’t each season.
Pointed toe shoes are excellent for
smashing the bug that ran in a tight corner.....Got him!
I go shopping in my closets. Inventory what would modernize my style, which is classic, then buy those touches. I am 74 years old very slim and petite, still like to look attractive while aging gracefully.
I really loved this video .. and I appreciate looking at tye direction style is going this season ... helps me to update my look .. very FUN ... I am amazed at the negative comments by women ... you're missing the fun ... style is FUN
Thank you for the sweet comment! I'm so glad you found it helpful!
When your feet hurt, everything hurts. Boycott the pointy-toes! Change for change's sake is fine but I'm not damaging my feet to enrich the fashion industry.
Yeah cause the economy is roaring and people have nothing better than to blow their money on clothes because they are out of style. 😂
@@mickeyhead9770 but, yet, you came to a FASHION ADVICE channel. Why? Just to make your snide comment? Obviously.
@@Michelle-yf2dk no, I didn’t come on for fashion advice, never watched the channel before nor will I watch again, it popped up in my feed. Just get a chuckle out of these people who give advice to the poor to keep on trying to keep up with the jones. Save your money is the best advice I can give to young people and old alike cause you never know what the future may bring. Take care.
@@mickeyhead9770 I totally agree with everything you just said. But you did not need to come and make a mean comment on someone’s fashion advice channel… She put a lot of time and a lot of research and effort into this video. Just because it popped up on your screen… You could’ve just left it alone and moved on along.
Shop in your own closet... add accent pieces!
@Michelle-yf2.
I love reading fashion advice... Do not need to take the advice!
They said skinny jeans have been out of style for a while now, but I refuse to give them up
I think they is great if you love them!
Good for you, I think that is great. You should wear what makes you happy. Make your own style. Be an individual who is not driven by the opinion of people who just yap on youttube.
Skinny jeans look so much better with boots then those big baggy jeans.
I love them too.
I don't like wide leg pants, they look strange to me.
Same wear what I LIKE but fun to see what's out there 🎉
Thank you!
I'm not crazy about the new styles. I really hate the wide and extra-wide legged jeans. I would rather have a boot cut if not skinny jeans.
Honestly, I’ve worn classic denim jackets since the ‘80s. I’ve may not be “in style” according to this video, but I’ve always had women ask me where I get my clothes because I always look “so cool.”
Pink is my power color. It will always be in my every season.
I love it too!
It's 09/03/2024 and I wore all pink today. Pink blouse, pink pants. I get so many compliments on this outfit because the color is so flattering to my skin. I too, will wear this color whenever I choose to.👍
Wear what you love and compliments you, I am keeping my pinks, I even had a pink room at my former home. As for leopard I have a large collection including leather bags over the years, it’s a staple for me. I buy classic items so they always look good.
My leopard print collection will never go out of style! ❤️🌴
I got a pair of leopard print boots at Walmart for $7,00 and i get so much use out of them. They add just a pop of adorableness
Long live the leopard!
I love burgundy!!! So excited for fall!!! 🍁
Me too!
I just remembered I have a vintage burgundy leather coat from the late 1970s in my closet. I will have to dig it out!
@@l.5832I bought a vintage one last year. Love it!
HOW CAN A COLOR BE IN OR OUT OF STYLE?? WHAT?
@lindanorris2455 it just means it's more popular, and you can find more of it at the moment.
I'm excited that burgundy and red is gonna take over this fall season because i love burgundy and the wine color. I already have some pieces in my wardrobe in that color and they make me feel so pretty when i wear them! I agree with square toe and SOME pointed toe shoes. This is a good list.
I absolutely hate pointed shoes and boots.
I appreciate all types of silhouettes, it just depends on how you style it. The barrel shape pants are very, very hard to pull off-frumpy on most builds.
Our environment cannot handle this never ending style changes.....stick with classics or what makes you feel comfy...
I replaced the white shoelaces in my white sneakers with burgundy laces. Love the look. Burgundy and navy my favorite combo in fall/winter. Looking forward to cooler weather I have to say. Less bugs too :).
Nice! What a great idea!
Amen to better weather and less of those pesky mosquitoes! 🙏🏼🕊️
I am gonna save a ton of money this season cause, none of that will find it’s way into my wardrobe.
That denim jacket with the bow is beyond ridiculous. That is gonna go out of style before November is over.
Thanks for sharing! I thought it was a fun jacket!
@@YourGuideToStyleI don’t care for bows either-I think they used to call them “pussy bows?”
I remember when bows were on the backs of skirts and at the back waist of dresses. We called them butt bows. :)
The military styled blazer has a neru collar. Vintage 60s.
Thanks for letting me know that. I love the collar!
@@YourGuideToStyle it's cool
Nehru. Do you know why they’re called that?
@@nhmooytis7058wasn't Nehru a famous person in India? I can't quite remember at 71😂
@@kcloveonaleash yes very good.
The good thing about reviewing current seasonal trends is their inspiration for new ways to style the items already in your closet. They also provide a heads-up for what's going to be featured in stores, so you can stock up on items that suit you and haven't been widely available for a while.
I 100% agree with you! Thank you for saying that! ❤️
Nothing is out of style if you want to wear it.
Skinny will never go out in style.
If you can find them in the stores.
Great with high boots.
Plenty in my closet!
@@5afe_ They're still in stores, multiple choices, both cheap and name brand.
I watched 3 videos today (higher end videos) and they all said skinny jeans are back!!
Hate the witch shoes with pointed toes .. plus ouch !
Me too! Never liked them
Great video!
I love to hear different perspectives! Thank you for sharing!
it almost seems to me that there are giant warehouses stuffed with leopard-print everything and every few years they release “new” items. I will never wear leopard anything. It certainly doesn’t look classy.
I had a leopard skirt circa 1995 😂
I never wear animal prints.
I have a muted leopard skin dress and it's fab
I wear what I want and feel great.
Lol 😂 I just bought a pair of white Reebok running shoes with white laces a few days ago! I’m so excited to wear them this fall!
I LOVE KEDS SNEALERS! WHITE CANVAS AND WHITE LEATHER!
Wear what you want
Love Burgundy and Rum Raisin colors for fall
Prefer rum raisin ice cream 😂
Very pretty colors...just not attractive on me!
@@barbaramclaren8365 I was told by my grandma as a kid I shouldn’t wear yellow because it made me look ‘sallow’. As an adult I’ve worn it and no one ever said that. Grandma was full of it 😆😆😆
Maybe your grandma was right & no one else has the courage to tell you?
I cannot believe the big bows at the neck are a thing. 😂
They LOOK pretty, and I’m all for anyone echo wants to wear them. I learned long ago that I don’t want that at my neck, and I don’t want any bell sleeves because both get in the way
When you have very big feet for your height, those pointed toe shoes are a no-go. Unfortunately, they make my feet look like clown‘s feet😂
I'm tall, still true lol.
Fashion and style is what looks best on the individual!
Wear what makes you feel comfortable, that fits you well, that is of a color palette with silhouette lines that complement you, that empowers you, that feels uniquely 'you'.
Probably best comment….and yet discovering each season’s trends keep us from looking out of touch, as well.
Sounds a little preachy to me.
Aloha, thank you, this was very well presented. Being 5ft. I’ve always had difficulty finding pants that fit. Am ecstatic that all I have to do now is cut them to length. I enjoy fashion but mostly wear what I like and what feels right and comfortable and somehow I always get compliments on my outfits and how I look. Color coordination is a key factor along with less is more as for excessories.
Barrel jeans will be over by rhe spring if not before
Maybe.😊
I disagree!
What's interesting is I bought two pairs of barrel pants at Banana Republic in 2022! They aren't jeans, but they are the barrel leg style, just not exaggerated. No one talked about them back then. So I have been wearing them for almost 2 years. I don't think they're going to be going out of style that quickly.
Disagree
Agreed. They look ridiculous.
Oversized blazers aren't actually out of style, there are just more options for blazers now including waisted blazers and cropped blazers.
Pick the blazer that flatters your figure!
Great observation. I love to see how much I’m on trend or not. Thanks for marking me feel good about my style.
In the 1970's the small velvet fitted blazers were so cute. I wish they wpuld come back.
I have 2 velvet jackets for the last 10 years. I ALWAYS get compliments from a variety of ages, men and women.
I still have one
I cannot tell you how happy am that skinny jeans have gone out of style. I always hated them. It's so nice to see regular fitting jeans back on shelves. Forthe longest time I couldn't find jeans that didn't look like they weren't sprayed on. I don't follow trends i just wanted regular jeans❤❤❤
Yes! Thank you!
I hate pointed to shoes n boots. Never wore them.
We used to wear that color combo back in the early 60’s. A lot of navy/powder blue and Hunter green/light sage, etc. We thought we were really stylin’ 😉
Lol, love that! Everything comes back eventually!
And we were 😊
Great video! Fooling trends is just fun.
I wish the half tucked shirt/blouse would go out of style.
Great post. Thank you. I really appreciate your attitude of "feel free to wear it, it's just what I've noticed going out or in".
People, don’t let anyone tell you what you should or should not wear. Wear what you want. Who has the money to change wardrobes every season?
Love and Blessings. I am under a Great Expectation at this point of my Life. As Professional Woman I’m waiting for Common Sense to be back on style.
I don't follow trends but I love your video.❤
Thank you so much and thanks for watching! 😊
Seriously, there are people who get rid of perfectly good clothes because they are out of "style?" Who knew!? Who can afford it?! 🤗
