- Hey guys! Join me for another video where I talk about everything I bought for my new racing simulator! I go into the brand names of the products I bought, what led me to purchasing them, and ultimately, why I even have a sim in the first place.
Let me know your questions and comments below! Is this the sim you would buy?

I’ve only been sim racing since 2016 but I have to say. Have fun, treat it like a game sometimes. Explore all the titles, explore all the different kinds of cars and racing disciplines. Find immersive experiences. Go for a drive in an AC Cobra at LA Canyons in Assetto Corsa.
Only since 2016! You’ve got a leg up on most of us. Thanks for the tips!
How is the comfort in the ES1 ?
Quite comfortable. No complaints with the seat so far. I have not installed seatbelts though.
IRacing is going to cost you. Every sim has it's plus's and minus's. My go to's are Rfactor2, Assetto Corsa Competizone, Assetto Corsa, RaceRoom and Automoblista 2. I personally don't like the IRacing's business model but it's popular. I even have a a coupon to try it out from year ago but it's business model leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Some claim it's the best sim and others may differ. To each their own I say. I hope you are going with triple monitors and you may want to consider a VR headset as well.
Thanks, I'll find out soon enough how well I like iRacing. I have a single 49" curved monitor for now, which works well for me.
Dont forget the load times in iracing
Nice setup looks like loads of work to put together, i had the fg-elite and gave it to my Dad and got the Track racer tr160 mk4 and its nice but not any better then the next level, i could not get used to the slanted rails where yourwheel deck mounts it felt crampy to me and just messed with me i dont know im wierd. Damn nice rig though
Hah to each their own. My only complaint is that it isn’t quicker to change the position back and forth from formula to GT.
You will love the monitor.... Don't let the Jelly guys say "But you are missing so mush peripheral" BS ... I love mine... If you get a TrackIR you will be able to look over up down... I almost bought the FGT but settled on TR80.... Get it going...
So far the monitor has been great. Triples seem cool but I didn’t want to add complexity on top of an already complex machine.
Seat belts are for those who add motion platforms to their cockpit
Yep, you could also wear it to keep your arms and shoulders in check to create good habits for the real car.
Myself, I have a rig without motion with a harness. Personally, when I get into a race I will tend to lean forward and white-knuckle grip the steering wheel. The harness keeps my shoulders against the seat, and forces me into a proper driving posture. This not only makes me sit in the proper inclination, but eliminates back discomfort after 60-90 minute races. Just my two-cents, and a possible consideration for your enjoyment.
Seat belt tensioners are even better!
That’s going to be a sick setup
Thanks! Just wait and see. Some good AND bad has come since I posted this video..
Good video I enjoyed watching this get it built and enjoy
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!
Yeah its interesting to see your take on it and I agree sim racing isn't gaming its way more than that,it's a niche market the enjoyment I get from it not a lot comes close
