I wrote them an email about what happend.. next day I had the spare part already delivered (+ upgrade bumpstops to get them to their new standart since I had an older version) I haven't experienced a better support yet.. and I can't think it's possible to be better :)
NoNameLeft1500 that's completely true....I had one gas pedal faulty.....and the customer support send me a new pedal just in a week. From eu to South America.....impressive fast response and care.
I upgraded from Logitech to the V3s 2 months ago and I have also tried a very stiff, even less travel than the V3s, HE break pedal 2 times on a friend's rig. My understanding up until now and please answer to this comment with your opinion on this, has been that you want minimal throw on your load cell break pedal, so that your brain cares only about pressure applied to a stationary object (by your foot on the pedal). If the break pedal has throw then your brain has to consider x % of throw + y pressure to know how much break you are applying in a given moment (especially above 70% breaking where the pedal both has travel and pressure from your foot). Having throw seems more complicated to get used to and a miss use of the load cell, since the load cell sensor calculates pressure and not throw. Am I totally on the wrong with all this? What do you think guys?
Thanks for vid. It confirmed my surprise at the V3 performance kit reviews which suggested loading up a hard to very hard kit. I tried the 13mm red and green but the lack of travel didn’t feel good to me. I ended up with the 12mm red and green and a half soft foam, gives me about 3cm of travel with 3 compression stages so feels easier to modulate and make small adjustments when trial braking or tapping brakes into a corner. I think it is because so many drive ABS based cars which doesn’t require the brake modulation and feel.
The best you’ve tried is always awesome until you try something better I guess. I still think the V3s are great for the money and have been extremely reliable for me over the last 18 months. I was running 12mm red and green also.
On load cell pedals pedal throw is irrelevant, you can still add more brake even if the pedal doesn't move by much. How you had the fanatics was more like a race car brake, short throw and hitting a wall. You have the HE pedals set up like a road car brake. It's personal preference I suppose but I prefer the race car hard pedal feel. I run my own load cell pedals and they are stiff as hell when in the braking phase, I can set them so I can't even push hard enough for full brakes if I want. The HE pedals with harder bumpers would be ideal for me.
I disagree. I reside a load cell works based on pressure and not position, but the amount of throw still impacts the driving experience/muscle memory/etc.
thats also the nice thing with the HEs you can set them up however you want.. you can have a long travel brake with squishy rubbers.. or a "long" throw with stiff rubbers or you can have no travel at all with only used spacers instead of rubbers... and everthing in between by combining all ofcourse...
@@boostedmedia I'm glad you used the word "impacts" here over something that implies improvement. The key thing is that it is different, and will be beneficial for some, but also detrimental for others. To me the simple benefit of the hrusinkvelds is the sheer adjustability which allows the user max opportunity to get things exactly how they work best for them whether that's zero displacement or full range of thtow.
@@boostedmedia The human brain remembers muscle pressure with more detail than foot position, which is typically why race car brakes are so stiff. Pedal travel is about feel which, to each their own. Whatever makes you faster. For me, I was simply used to more pedal travel, and changing over to very stiff brakes felt wrong... for a couple stints. Then all of a sudden my muscle memory started adjusting and I instantly got way more consistent.
Thanks, this helped in a way I guess was not intended. Have been driving the GT3 porsche 911 as a noob, and it was driving me nuts. Time to change cars :). Great Vid, and look forward to getting a more high end system when finances allow :) Again, it is awesome that you are looking into all levels and budgets for your reviews. Great work mate.
The HE throttle has a 1 way damper. Ie it damps and smooths out the throttle curve but has no resistance when you lift of the throttle so can fire back quickly.
Hey All, I am new to car sim racing and in the process of putting my stuff 2-gether. particular I will go with the DD1 bundle including the V2 wheel with paddle module and Podium hub, Podium Porsche Wheel GT 3, V3 brake pedals with damper and performance kit, shifter and handbrake. Cockpit I think will be the Sparco EVOLVE PRO ADV QRT with accessories. Monitor the G49. Btw: I immediately fell in love with the Bathurst track. I had to try it in AC with first the Audi TT CUP 2016....2:35 after 4 laps Then 2 laps with the Audi LMS and 2:24 in 2nd. As I don´t have any racing equipment yet I "Flew" the track with an 17 year old SAITEK X-52...lol Stick as wheel and for shifting, throttle for braking and the right rudder as gas.... I wonder what I can reach on this wonderful track once I really know with the above equipment.
yes......have the sprints and the difference makes pedals a better buy then a new wheel...now to watch the video btw: the software for the pedals is great and gives you heaps of adjustment for setting up
I would assume $1200 pedals will be a little better than $400 pedals. What about comparing the V3 against the HE sprints. I think they are a lot closer in price by about $300
It seems like the main disadvantage on the V3 is short travel on brake pedal. That leads to less ability to modulate. I wonder what if you removed the brake performance kit mod but keep the damper mod on. With that, you both got the hydraulic feel like a real non-race car and also longer pedal travel. Would you please try that set up and see whether lap time would improve. I bought both bpk and damper and will monitor its performance over time. So far, i like the feel and immersion from the damper because it is kind of like real life brake on non-race car.
Did your same upgrade couple of months ago, i fell in love with HE Ultimate almost immediatly, they cost a fortune but they worth every single euro you spend , and the customer support is just incredible, they respond quick and they are always avaible to help find a fix on any issue you could have
@@boostedmedia Any spare parts you could evenctually need to refurbish your pedals, just get in contact with them, and they will send in no time :D , guess that part of the price is to maintain this customer care service quality level.
So I have CSL elites and I was wondering are the sprints or ultimates really the best pedals you can get within reason? I want new pedals and don't want to feel like I want new pedals in a year or two.
@@TheSubieFan I would say so. If youget the Ultimates, you are getting some of if not the best sim racing pedals on the market. The sprints are also great, since you can still get amazing pedals at a good price from a legendary company.
You got the stability from the confidence. I highlighted the initial brake feel on the Feel VR pedals too and it's similar to what you describe and was one of the deciding factors in me saying that they're better than the Fanatec V3s. Also the travel of the pedals gives me great confidence. I've used sprints and although they're very good, I'd still choose the Feel VR pedals. Again, for the same reasons you seem to like the ultimates. I've never used Ultimates, but am looking forward to trying them some day.
I have V3's for about a year and half now coming from Thrustmaster pedals. I did not want to watch this because I knew what the result would be lol I have a DD1 already so probably something like these these next. The V3 brake modulation over the short distance is mimicked by foam and rubber so getting good use out the pedal and load cell is hard; Heuskinkveld Ultimate is hydraulic and far more advanced mechanics. These only make sense for competitive racing like iRacing or ACC Ranked where tenths of a second actually mean A LOT. When you spend hours a week practicing and racing upper splits knowing you have the best equipment to be fast and the rest is left up to skill is a good feeling. Will obviously showed they are faster but some may argue that but from spending hours messing with the V3's and doing a bit of research on these no doubt these provide a more controlled feel which will improve consistency and likely lap times.
I have 2x 13 greens from the BPK and a damper in my V3s and it beefs up the pressure I have nowhere near that much travel and can modulate, also pending car I have between 10-25% BFR P.s. My teammate and I won top split Bathurst 12hr in the Cup Car! Was a stupid race....
Hope you guys are keeping well? Great review video as always WIll. I received my Sprints yesterday and I am very pleased with them. It may seem strange watching your review after I already bought them but I was interested to see what you had to say about them. I decided last year that I would get some when I could afford and so far they have blown me away. I had Fanatec CSL Elite LC pedals before and there is just no comparison. Being an older gentleman (older that Dave Cam by 16 years!) I don't need to have a load cell that is any stronger. Looking forward to more consistent braking and maybe shaving a tenth or two off my lap times. Keep on making the great videos. 👍
Great point at the 10 min mark regarding how the v3s you would have locked up if tried to apply more brake pressure after already slowing. In other words with the v3s you need to do max brake pressure first and then let off but once you begin to let off it is difficult to then apply greater brake force than initially applied But ultimately it comes down to practice, if one has bee using the same set of brakes for years and then switches to a "better" and or more expensive piece, it still will take a long time to get familiar and potentially faster
The v3 load cell is stuttering! See this Motec telemetry too! I added a RaceCore 24 mod and it made it perfectly smooth! My consistency has gotten much better and makes me faster too!
I went from Logitech g29 potentiometer pedals to Fanatec v3’S with brake performance kit and only found 2 tenths at most. This was a back to back test in iRacing world championship GT qualifying series. With my team mates deep in testing too. You have to get the most from your equipment to compare it.
Well this just validates what I'd seen a little bit of on the web: these Heusinkveld pedals are pretty sweet! Fingers crossed you'll be able to get a set of HE Sprints as well and compare them ;)
Anders Juul Rasmussen Exactly what I was thinking. It‘s a little bit contrary to recommend the performance kit for shorter brake movement and a hydraulic feeling and then prefer HE pedals due to the better modulation.
@@gregsonberlin3782 So you think Fanatec v3 a good deal pedal and no need to go with higher end pedals to be fast? I am asking because I a in the process of upgrading from G29 to Fanatec clubsport v2.5 base and v3 pedals and was thinking of that Heusinkveld pedals?

This does not even need a review. :) Ultimates and Sprints are both on another level. Takes a few weeks getting used to them and figuring out all the possible hardware/software settings but once you nail it down youll see progress and they feel great.
You have to take into account that you tested the V3's first, and then switched to the HE's. To be fair, you should have gone back to the V3's after the HE's. That would show that any differences were down to the pedals, and not just you improving throughout the day. Also, you have to take differences in track conditions into account. I skipped around, so if I missed you discussing that, my apologies. That said, I have no doubt that the HE's are going to give you more consistency and even some more speed over time. Having more room for modulation means less chance of over correcting, or not putting in enough input. High end pedals also just feel more immersive and intuitive. I have HPP PRX's (which are hydraulic, but said to be similar to the ultimates in feel) and when I got them, I was blown away by how much better I could control the throttle and brake, especially those fine adjustments and trail braking. Another big point, that you'll probably cover in your review, is how adjustable the pedals are compared to V3's. You'll be able to position them perfectly and adjust the travel to exactly how you like it. That can make a big difference, especially in longer races or endurance stints. The V3's are great pedals, but he high end stuff is just on another level, as they should be for 3-4 times the price.
Track conditions were identical. I’d done 40 laps with the V3s prior to shooting the video and had been doing 2:13-2:14 for 30 laps straight before shooting.
its all based on talent....guys can be beasts with shotty equipment...then there are guys like me who manage to be slow with even good equipment. Good stuff here as usual Will. Appreciate your insight on this all! I just got 2 sets of Meca Pedals...wont get to put them on the rig for a bit though. Moving!
Interesting, I just bought and installed a used set of Ultimates two weeks ago, replacing my V3’s. In a nutshell I would say the difference is night-and-day, but it’s not the same night-and-day difference as getting your first loadcell if that makes sense. They feel better and generally a lot more consistent than the V3’s ever did for me. The damper on the throttle is more responsive than I ever got the Fanatec one to be, and the feeling from the brake is just magical. Did it make me faster? Probably not on a single lap. Over a long stint however I now get a lot more confidence on and consistency in the brakes. This gives me a more direct line to where I want the car to go, rather than having to think about how to modulate my pedal inputs to get the car where I want it to go. That sounds hand-wavey, I know, but that’s how it is. It has certainly improved my driving over 1-2 hour stints! And therefore I would say money well spent.
jianh1989 I got mine through what would be the Dutch equivalent of eBay. They’re not exactly commonplace but they do pop up from time to time from guys who’ve quit the hobby.
Hey man, awesome videos! I'm thinking of getting these HE Ultimate. For me it is very important to be able to space them out for F1 driving and center them, so my body doesn't twist around. Then I can add the clutch pedal when I move to rally driving (rearrange them at that point, but for now I'm only driving F1). I also have the Next Level Racing GT Track cockpit. Do you think I should order the HE baseplate also, to add some extra stiffness, or any advice on that? Also, do you think these pedals are the best out there for what I'm looking for?
@@carracer48 i went with the ultimates and they are amazing. I found to be much more consistent with braking and enjoy the higher weight of the pedals. The jump to the ultimates was definetly worth if for me
Have you tried the HE Sprint pedals yet? What are some of the most noticeable differences (other than stiffness settings)? I'm assuming that since the level is longer on the HE Ultimates, and the location of the spring rod connection to the level (closer to center on HE Ultimates), perhaps the feeling my be subtly different? How different does the clutch feel comparing the two?
Hi....Is there any chance of doing a small video about Pit Strategy.... Talking us through the ins and outs--with or without Calculator on whether taking on just fuel-tyres or both-in any car genre....
I think you would get more consistency with simhub pedal vibration than a pedal upgrade. Instead of guessing what your pedals are doing, you get to feel the traction on gas and brake. I agree that your longer throw on the pedals allows for more modularity, but if youre a little handy that can be fixed on the Fanatec pedals. Adding a hydraulic brake and vibration on the pedals make the Fanatec pedals much better.
Nice review! im thinking of upgrading this year to the HE Ultimate from a V3, so this was nice timing! :) out of interest, was this the HE from the facebook dude that wanted to swap the V3's?
Love the Videos, just one question are HE ultimates mounted to the GTtrack base plate in the video? I have a GTtrack and was looking at these pedals Thanks
if you want to emulate F1 brakes you need a load cell that will give you 150KG of pressure at the pedal, and you probably won't be able to use the pedals :)
Review i have waiting for ! I start sim racing again this year, and i can't choose what pedals i pick... The v3's with brake performance kit are good enough i think ? Than the Heusinkveld Sprint ? (i know other pedals)
@@boostedmedia Thanks ! I think i pick the v3's ... I came from a t300 with t3pa, and later fanatec elite loadcell, so think the v3's will be good enough (also better for my money haha)
The sprints are absolutely amazing for the money. Software is great and the feeling under your feet is very clean and you can tell there made for racing. I can outbreak 95% of people online and still stop the car under control. HE For me all day long 👍
Hi Will. If you had €1000 euro to spend on pedals, which would you choose for a P1 rig. Have the V3s now and looking at the Ultimates which are on sale at the moment for just over 1000 euro. But then there are the mecas, sprints, BJs. Hard to decide!!
Hey Will - cool comparison. Would love to see a cost analysis in your full review. I’m sure these are better than v3 pedals, but are they 3x better (in terms of cost that is).
Wondering if you ever tried the v3 inverted as well? I just got mine, upgrading from A1 Advantage relics (fantastic for their time) - installed the perf mod, moved damper to throttle, and just getting some laps now after drilling the old NLR Wheel Stand. The inverteds were a fair bit more expensive than the baseline, but had feeling I'd struggle to squeeze in HEs as this was over my limit already. ;) G27 wheel will be next to go, unless I go for the DD wheel stand.
@@WhiteHawk77 Ha ha, well it's done now. The Sprints being out of stock might have been a factor as well, and the Ultimates were on a different planet. And also out of stock.
@@WhiteHawk77 Thanks. I actually really like how the V3Is are set up now with my existing wheel stand. The feel of the clutch pedal is especially good, and I love having the space underneath the pedals to rest my left foot. I realise I'd need to upgrade wheel stand as well to accommodate HKs, so will be leaving it like this for now. Perhaps I'll upgrade to the Ultimates later on!
In my HE Sprint, I use the hard plastics rather than the softer rubber. The throw is tiny and it is essentially on/off scenario. Of course, I find I was locking up a lot in races so I removed one of the hard plastics with a rubber to increase the throw. I find I am missing my breaking points, particularly where heavy braking is required. Can you do a video of how you have set up your HE pedals.
You can set the sprints up using HE guide it took me 2 weeks of playing about and trying the correct rubber combo 6 different combinations in total plus spring adjustment. But man once you get it right OMG out braking people when racing becomes easy. Try 2nd one down in the HE manual it's a good starting point for the sprints 👍
Thanks Will. Have been eyeing up some HV Sprints for a few months, and also a new wheel at some point (still rocking a budget G29 setup in an ever improving full sim rig setup). If I wanted to get the pedals first, as I think theyll help me to the next stage more so than a wheel, do you know if the Sprints will work with a G29 wheel?
You should be modulating the pressure not the travel. Many racing cars have completely stiff pedals with close to no travel at all. I know Kimi loves a super stiff pedal, I think it was one of his mechanics that said it in an interview. Whenever he was happy with the car all he wanted was the mechanics to bleed the brake to get it as stiff as possible. However having a higher max pressure will allow for better modulation, once used to the forces of the pedals
I knew someone would bring this up and glad you did. That’s exactly right. But what I found is to a point, increasing the travel restive to the pressure being applied allows for better modulation. I assume due to it being easier to define muscle memory based on position as well as pressure. As I said in the video, when I was driving F1 exclusively I found the short pedal advantageous. But I struggle to modulate braking in other cars.
@@boostedmedia Personally I have not tried them so I cant really comment on the difference. It is also very subjective. Only thing i would like to add is that you can start looking at hydraulic pedals at the price of the ultimate. And i noticed the sprints have a max force of 65kg. While the fanatec csl elite LC have 90kg, which im running and are very happy with
Not sure if you ever read comments on this old of a video but I was wondering how you were able to get that much travel on the brake pedal? I have all the white cylinders installed but there is nowhere near the travel that you have on the brake pedal. Can’t figure out how to get it closer to how you have it set up...thanks!
The crazy expensive pedals that simracinggarege shows almost have no travel (correct me if I've seen wrong) while you mention it as a good feature and I agree with you. The spongy feel that resembles the real cars brakes is better because you know it it's a simulator it should simulate the reality, But that spongy feel is something that makes you slower according to many people in sim racing forums. I don't know how to believe anymore.
The v3's are still pretty good pedals, Casey Kirwan won the nascar championship on iracing using them without the performance kit or dampers. Yeah in nascar you dont brake much but he was still winning many road races with them also. I would of like to of seen how the stock pedals would of compared.
I lately tried a freinds SimRig who also prefers some travel and softness in his brake, other than me. And instantly I thought his brake is broken. The travel in the pedal forced me to generate force through my ankle, rather than stamping my full leg onto the pedal. The "squiscyness" swallows a part of your applied brake force for deforming the dampers. This way "enlarges" the available pressure scale. But where's the point? most people arent able to push 90kg with one leg. In my Opinion it's just a matter of setting your pedals up correctly/to ones likings.
Well, crap. I have the V3s and kept telling myself I was good. My buddy had the Sprints and I tried them briefly, but didn't have that feel I was used to from my V3s (the throw felt very short, load cell likely wasn't dialed in at the time). Seeing this makes me re-evaluate my thought process...
Wanted to know, which pedals do you recommend or are the best for someone using a ps5 with the Fanatec dd pro? And it's there one you can use with ps5 and pc?
How bad is the flex in the mounting plate for the pedals? Im tossing up between getting either the v3 or some sprints but not sure how it will go. I have the same gt track rig.
I'm not a hardcore sim racer and i just purchased a Fanatec bundle the other day, but judging by your times between both pedal sets I don't see much of an advantage. When it comes to feel i can see your more comfortable/consistent when your not using the V3. Overall only a one second difference in lap times would make it that much better other than feel. It is one second faster than the next guy but $1k set vs $400 pedal set (v3), wouldn't make me feel that much faster. A great video as usual Boosted Media. I watched all your vids on Fanatec gear.
Do you study your telemetry when you test Will? Can imagine being able to instantly stop and analyse the data then try something new being hugely beneficial to my driving.
Not generally but it’s something I plan to do more of in the future once I’ve got the 8020 rig sorted. At the moment my rig has too much flex for it to be beneficial I don’t think.
@@boostedmedia so you think the ultimate's will not be ideal for Next L. R GT Track? (That's what I own atm) and I don't think I will upgrade anytime soon on my rig, however I've been looking to upgrade my wheel base and pedals sometime this year.
I thought the HE ultimate were hydraulic pedals. Or are they load cells? Also, why most sim racing pedals are only hydraulic on the brake and clutch? Hydraulic fell on the throttle isn't that important? Great video as usual.
I was all in for V3 but I'm starting to change my mind lol. Should I decide to game on the Xbox, can they be used on it? I'm in two minds if I want to game on both or not lol. I'll be getting the cheaper ones. £675 is more than I budget for lol. Always subject to change lol.
Will, Question ? My friend just got the ultimate's and a DD1. Here is the issue. We play or he plays Iracing and Nascar 2003. everything seems fine on Iracing. But in NR2003 he dont get the brake pedal. It wont calibrate. I think the DD1 and Utims are on the same axis. I know theres a way to change that in bios. But if he got a pci usb card. Do you think that would help the problem and he could plug into the card and have a different axis for the pedals or DD1 . either or ? Thanks.
If braking is more "granular " I mean the pressure jumps more. I would think it will unsettle the car more under heavy braking. Since the balance / weight if the car will bounce instead of a the cleaner more linear curve the v3s produced. Just thinking. Also I think one need sto so much more consistent laps to compare that much :/
Thanks for this great review! I was wondering if you could do some benchmarks in all the popular racing games to see what the FPS difference between triple monitors and single monitors would be? I am a very competitive player and I am looking to get into racing but I need at LEAST 150 FPS minimum to go anywhere near it, and I can't find ANY benchmarks anywhere between single and triple monitors. So naturally I'm scared of buying 3 monitors before I have at least a vague idea what the frames would be like on triple compared to single. Thanks in advance Will!
That’s interesting. I would not have expected such a big difference (noting it’s a big lap). Not asking you to check this but do you think if you’d have gone back to the v3s that the learning of the track/car you’d done would have seen your times improve.
Hey Will! I know its an old video, but have you ever considered testing the V3's with the plastic NON FLAT pedal faces that come with the "raisers" as well? In my opinion people dismiss them without trying as the metal ones look cool, but the plastic ones give a much better feel and control. Itll be more like HSV. Check it out! A lot of people have V3's and are completely blind to this, so you know what you can do... ;]
I drilled holes in the original pedal plate to mount them but still need to add some sort of a heel plate as the other cutouts get in the way of your feet. Also be aware that there is way too much flex in the pedal plate to use these pedals seriously with a GT Track. I have bricks under my pedal plate and even still you can see there is some flex. I wouldn’t have bought them if I wasn’t getting an 8020 rig very soon.
I never said the pressure was modulated via the level of deflection. I said I found it easier to modulate my pressure with a little bit of extra throw to work with.
I can see on your brake telemetry you are only braking with 75% on iRacing, Have to set that up to be so cause I am having brake issues with my v3 even after a calibration and adjustments. any tips ?
Great video. I was a little surprised to see max braking inputs around 60%. I get annoyed with myself in RF2 if I dont get to 90% braking for big stops. Is it different in iRacing? Oh and you may have cost me some money there.
Random request: I race in a league and I see the top guys on the leaderboard all use external view to put their hot laps in. Sims like PC2, ACC and AC might allow for faster lap times. Also, you think competitive leagues should lock to interior view only? Last question, touchy one... but is cheating software still a thing in 2020 for sims like PC2, ACC, Iracing etc? Oh and the request is that perhaps you could see if you could do a vid comparing exterior vs interior views and lap times
Will you consider mounting those HE pedals inverted? I mounted my HE Sprint that way on my rig. They are much more comfortable imho. 🙂 Great video as usual. Keep up the good work 👌🤜🤛

Realise^
thats also the nice thing with the HEs you can set them up however you want.. you can have a long travel brake with squishy rubbers.. or a "long" throw with stiff rubbers or you can have no travel at all with only used spacers instead of rubbers... and everthing in between by combining all ofcourse...
I have zero modulation issues with v3 , just need to set brake force correctly
Thanks, this helped in a way I guess was not intended. Have been driving the GT3 porsche 911 as a noob, and it was driving me nuts. Time to change cars :). Great Vid, and look forward to getting a more high end system when finances allow :) Again, it is awesome that you are looking into all levels and budgets for your reviews. Great work mate.
Glad to hear you are finally getting a profile rig! You'll love it.
The HE throttle has a 1 way damper. Ie it damps and smooths out the throttle curve but has no resistance when you lift of the throttle so can fire back quickly.
Hey All,
I am new to car sim racing and in the process of putting my stuff 2-gether.
particular
I will go with the DD1 bundle including the V2 wheel with paddle module and Podium hub,
Podium Porsche Wheel GT 3, V3 brake pedals with damper and performance kit, shifter
and handbrake.
Cockpit I think will be the Sparco EVOLVE PRO ADV QRT with accessories.
Monitor the G49.
Btw: I immediately fell in love with the Bathurst track.
I had to try it in AC with first the Audi TT CUP 2016....2:35 after 4 laps
Then 2 laps with the Audi LMS and 2:24 in 2nd.
As I don´t have any racing equipment yet I "Flew" the track with an 17 year old SAITEK
X-52...lol
Stick as wheel and for shifting, throttle for braking and the right rudder as gas....
I wonder what I can reach on this wonderful track once I really know with the above equipment.
yes......have the sprints and the difference makes pedals a better buy then a new wheel...now to watch the video
btw: the software for the pedals is great and gives you heaps of adjustment for setting up
I would assume $1200 pedals will be a little better than $400 pedals.
Did your same upgrade couple of months ago, i fell in love with HE Ultimate almost immediatly, they cost a fortune but they worth every single euro you spend , and the customer support is just incredible, they respond quick and they are always avaible to help find a fix on any issue you could have
That’s great to hear. Given I bought these second hand I haven’t dealt with them at all.

Great video, and great pedals. Interesting comparison.
I have 2x 13 greens from the BPK and a damper in my V3s and it beefs up the pressure I have nowhere near that much travel and can modulate, also pending car I have between 10-25% BFR
In other words with the v3s you need to do max brake pressure first and then let off but once you begin to let off it is difficult to then apply greater brake force than initially applied
But ultimately it comes down to practice, if one has bee using the same set of brakes for years and then switches to a "better" and or more expensive piece, it still will take a long time to get familiar and potentially faster
The v3 load cell is stuttering! See this Motec telemetry too! I added a RaceCore 24 mod and it made it perfectly smooth! My consistency has gotten much better and makes me faster too!
225 USD? No thank you. Are you an ad bot or something?
@@2ndAveScents 😂No.
I went from Logitech g29 potentiometer pedals to Fanatec v3’S with brake performance kit and only found 2 tenths at most. This was a back to back test in iRacing world championship GT qualifying series. With my team mates deep in testing too. You have to get the most from your equipment to compare it.
I found 0.9s from G920 pedals to TLCM
Well this just validates what I'd seen a little bit of on the web: these Heusinkveld pedals are pretty sweet! Fingers crossed you'll be able to get a set of HE Sprints as well and compare them ;)
The brake modulation with Fanatec V3 pedals is unproblematic and precise enough without the brake performance kit (HINT HINT)...
Anders Juul Rasmussen
Exactly what I was thinking.
It‘s a little bit contrary to recommend the performance kit for shorter brake movement and a hydraulic feeling and then prefer HE pedals due to the better modulation.
It doesn't feel good however for many people
@@gregsonberlin3782 So you think Fanatec v3 a good deal pedal and no need to go with higher end pedals to be fast? I am asking because I a in the process of upgrading from G29 to Fanatec clubsport v2.5 base and v3 pedals and was thinking of that Heusinkveld pedals?

This does not even need a review. :) Ultimates and Sprints are both on another level. Takes a few weeks getting used to them and figuring out all the possible hardware/software settings but once you nail it down youll see progress and they feel great.
The HE look so tall ... way taller than V3 which seem good ... is it a problem ?
Thanks so ,much for this!! Now my decision is.... Do I get the Ultimates or the Sprints?!

Yeah I think at the end of the day better equipment just makes it easier to be more consistent lap after lap
Welcome to the club of ultimate owners
oh ok these pedals. thanks for snappy response going to watch this now.
Yoep de Ligt where do you find used Heusinkveld pedals?
jianh1989 I got mine through what would be the Dutch equivalent of eBay. They’re not exactly commonplace but they do pop up from time to time from guys who’ve quit the hobby.

Try setting the brake pedal in iRacing in the range from +40 to -8. For me it work the best. All white rubber of course.

Have you tried the HE Sprint pedals yet? What are some of the most noticeable differences (other than stiffness settings)? I think you would get more consistency with simhub pedal vibration than a pedal upgrade. Instead of guessing what your pedals are doing, you get to feel the traction on gas and brake. I agree that your longer throw on the pedals allows for more modularity, but if youre a little handy that can be fixed on the Fanatec pedals. Adding a hydraulic brake and vibration on the pedals make the Fanatec pedals much better.

Hey Will - cool comparison. Would love to see a cost analysis in your full review. I’m sure these are better than v3 pedals, but are they 3x better (in terms of cost that is).
Yep I’ll definitely cover that aspect in the full review. Too early to say yet, especially when they’re mounted on a rig that still has some flex.
As I said twice in the video, I will do a full review once I’ve had a chance to fully familiarise with all the adjustments.
They connect via USB so other gear is irrelevant.
@@boostedmedia oh brilliant, easy then.
I heard some people thought the Ultimates were a little heavy (albeit realistic) for long use? Have you tried the Sprint's? How do they compare?
Hey Will, thanks for the review. Just wanted to check if the Fanatecs can be converted to a 2 pedal setup for F1?
Theoretically yes. You can move the clutch to the middle or make some spacers.
@@boostedmedia Thanks mate!
Relative^
@@boostedmedia Personally I have not tried them so I cant really comment on the difference. It is also very subjective. Only thing i would like to add is that you can start looking at hydraulic pedals at the price of the ultimate. And i noticed the sprints have a max force of 65kg. While the fanatec csl elite LC have 90kg, which im running and are very happy with
I’ll be reviewing some hydraulic pedals in the next few months so it’ll be very interesting to see how they compare.
@@Spike00773 thank you, i was afraid that was the case🙂
It’s definitely made me faster having a bit more range of movement. But it really comes down to personal preference.
can other brand pedals be used with the fanatec wheelbase? new to the racing thing so i have no idea
Crazy that 4 years ago you where using an F-GT rig
Can you not use the softer blocks from the Fanatec brake performance kit to get a similar level of travel to the HE’s?
Well, crap. I have the V3s and kept telling myself I was good. My buddy had the Sprints and I tried them briefly, but didn't have that feel I was used to from my V3s (the throw felt very short, load cell likely wasn't dialed in at the time). Seeing this makes me re-evaluate my thought process...
Nice intro!
Good work

Yeah I like mine at about 2 so I can lightly press mine and slow down under pace laps.
They use a load cell combined with a hydraulic dampener.
Do you think that would help the problem and he could plug into the card and have a different axis for the pedals or DD1 . either or ? Thanks.
Have you calibrated through DIView?
we have since learned with nr 2003 and fanatec. you have to have pefals that plug into the base. so he needs fanatec pedels
Can't you fine tune the behaviour of the break via the fanatec tuning menu?
Brf should be the setting
But how can you change brake force in the hs ultimate ? Like switching from games with different pedal pressure requirements

Thanks in advance Will!
celz olsen no one NEEDS 150 FPS on sim racing. period
@@carsstuff9914 you dont know what you are talking about then in my opinion
samsung odyssey g9 series
Are the track temps and usage the same across those two comparisons?
Yes. Identical conditions of course.
That’s interesting. I would not have expected such a big difference (noting it’s a big lap).
Not asking you to check this but do you think if you’d have gone back to the v3s that the learning of the track/car you’d done would have seen your times improve.
they better be!!! for the same price i can buy an used car and a lap of the nurburgring
I just did 5 laps so I guess I’ve already gotten my money’s worth ;)
And smash it somewhere on the track ... but go for it ... simracing isn’t for everyone.
A lot of people have V3's and are completely blind to this, so you know what you can do... ;]
Yeah I tried them but didn’t find it made any difference at all for me.
Do they mount on top of the existing pedal plate of the gt track or do you take it off?
I drilled holes in the original pedal plate to mount them but still need to add some sort of a heel plate as the other cutouts get in the way of your feet.
Also be aware that there is way too much flex in the pedal plate to use these pedals seriously with a GT Track. I have bricks under my pedal plate and even still you can see there is some flex.
I wouldn’t have bought them if I wasn’t getting an 8020 rig very soon.
@@boostedmedia hundreds of comments and you're still replying! cheers
Base plate. Where can i get that base plate under your Heusinkveld pedals please.
Simlab
I’m sorry but in the real world, brakes are modulated with pressure not throw.
I never said the pressure was modulated via the level of deflection. I said I found it easier to modulate my pressure with a little bit of extra throw to work with.
Boosted Media sorry my bad. Still love your videos. Cheers
This car locks up easy lol
Haha and here I am searching for every possible mod in existence, for my g920 😂
LMAO
Same I would love to upgrade but don’t have the money
Random request: I race in a league and I see the top guys on the leaderboard all use external view to put their hot laps in. Sims like PC2, ACC and AC might allow for faster lap times. Also, you think competitive leagues should lock to interior view only? Last question, touchy one... but is cheating software still a thing in 2020 for sims like PC2, ACC, Iracing etc? Oh and the request is that perhaps you could see if you could do a vid comparing exterior vs interior views and lap times
I really wish leagues would use fixed cockpit view, but there’s no way to police it.
Will you consider mounting those HE pedals inverted? I mounted my HE Sprint that way on my rig. They are much more comfortable imho. 🙂
Great video as usual. Keep up the good work 👌🤜🤛
Possibly
Please tell me how much raw in game break pedals? I know you are push break pedals 100 procent but how much raw in game when push 100 procent thx alot
