    Hey Digit. Great video as usual. I opted for the V2's when it went on sale for Black Friday sale. I did it because the makes no sense to invest so heavily in something that I don't use as much. Maybe in another 10 years when I retire and have more time, it could be used more, but 10 years is a long time. So for now, the V2's make for a better option for me. I am also not a top level driver that may need an additional edge, so yea, the V2's so far was a good decision

    Just to comment on what you were saying at 9:05 , I don’t think it would be viable to have pedals connected in series as then if the cable from the module to the first pedal breaks then all 3 pedals are then useless

    • @DigitRacingDG
      @DigitRacingDG  10 месяцев назад +1

      But either way, if one of the cables brake down you won't be able to use them. You could swap the clutch and use that, but the same can be done with CAN connection.

    I have a V3s with BPK (and I use the softest elastomers from that, 1 red 12 and 1 red 13), better looking, better clutch, better throttle. I like it :) Bought for €300 at BF in 2022.
    You don't need to remove the heel plate for mount though (although if you mount to a 80/20 rig without plate, you do), I've mounted it easily with a screw and a nut each hole.

    • @DigitRacingDG
      @DigitRacingDG  10 месяцев назад +1

      Good point, I should've mentioned that as well. I use GT omega prime and there is no other way, but again it depends on the rig.

    • @-fatal-
      @-fatal- 10 месяцев назад

      @@DigitRacingDGThose screws was really a strang choice from Fanatec. Even in the manual it is written that those red screws shouldn't be removed. But then you can't mount it to some rigs. I wonder when they will upgrade the ClubSport pedals though, it is still a good pedal set, but could be better.

  • @usefulidiot21
    @usefulidiot21 5 месяцев назад

    It's easy to install fasteners from the top for the V3's without removing that plate, as long as you use hex head bolts and not socket head cap screws. That way, you can get an open-ended wrench on them to tighten them. And even if you choose to use socket head cap screws, you can just install them from the bottom and put the nut on the top. Either way, you don't need to remove the foot plate and risk damaging those screws.
    And the difference in the clutch pedals was enough for me to choose the V3's over the V2's (since the action of it feels much more realistic and I use it a lot). That, along with the fact that I was able to buy them for $325 new in box, made them the choice for me.

    V2's were a bargain £199 on Black Friday. Also didn't take long to arrive, about 2 weeks, although I know a lot of other customers had a long wait for some items. Recently ordered a wheel and the DD Extreme, both have been delivered within 7 days to UK so maybe the recent problems on delivery times are starting to improve.

  • @SpatialDragon
    @SpatialDragon 6 месяцев назад

    The V2's are an exceptional value and if you are only using two pedals pull the clutch, move the load cell over to the left and the throttle to the right, comfortable as it gets. Plus unlike the V1 CSL's they are not potentiometers using plastic and aluminum gears and the plastic would give out, now it is Hall effect. Magnets.

    I had the CS v1 before moving to the Elite v2 and while I was very happy with them, especially the brake and for the price, they recently developed some connection issues over USB and I subsequently switched away from the Fanatec ecosystem entirely. I think there are a lot more differences that weren't mentioned. I used CSL elite load cell pedals for over a year and then bought the V3s on the BF sale that came with the performance kit and damper. For me it was a game changer, I never had a problem with the CSLs braking performance, but hated the throttle from the day I got them. When I got the V3s I installed the damper on the throttle and it made a huge difference for me, I could never drive some of the FR cars without traction control on 1 or 2, with the V3s I have used traction control at unless it's raining. The adjust ability of the V3s are another big difference, along with looks and overall build quality.

    Bought V2's on last BlackFriday. Have used those a lot. Probably I'm going to purchase V3's on next BlackFriday. I don't like shape of V2:s. Rubber of V2's was horrible. But rubbers was removable. But still don't like shape of pedals. It hurts to leg. Straight shape of pedal is better. And I don't like matte paint of V2's which don't allow sock properly to slide and this leads heel to rise during braking which not good. I changed strongest elastomers and spring to V2. That made those a lot of better (reduce brake travel). I use maximum brake force in game.

    The v3's needing to pay extra for the damper pack is a rip off honestly and for the best performance is needed so include its cost in your pricing and order at the same time as you order the pedals to save on shipping cost.

I guess its same as 1st one, with a sensor planted in the metal of the pedal(break), and once that metal bends just a tiny bit, ur break is always on :D then the rubbers.. which just explodes apart, rubber gets almost like plastic after some time..(1st gen csl elite)
