Wait B music is an original composition for the game? It's much more layered than the other two. I mean, Nintendo was working with limited sound channels and it surprises me that an original composition would use them more effectively than the other two. Type A is a classic no doubt, but B sounds much more 'full'. A sounds like it has two instruments. The way they did B makes it sound like a percussion section, bass and 2 lead instruments going back and fourth dueling. I see how it was done, like the percussion and bass seem to be one audio track and the 2 other instruments alternate as well, keeping them to two tracks.
Type B was composed by Hirokazu “Hip” Tanaka, whose credits also include Metroid, Super Mario Land, and Dr. Mario. Hip Tanaka also designed the Game Boy Camera and Printer.
Still the greatest puzzle game of all time. Even though I nowadays mainly play on PC i still pick up this on the original Gameboy cartridge and play it. It´s that good.
Music B has a much more fun and bouncy feeling to it, whereas music A has a more haunting and foreboding feeling to it. Music C is neither bouncy nor haunting, but it sounds pretty awesome when it’s played on an organ.
Type A it might be the most iconic music Tetris, it's also overused. It's subtle and claiming at the same time. Type B I agree this is underated. It got a more lively tune and keep you entertained. Type C it's probably the most obscure of the 3 music. Classy, but for me it's also depressing and it feels empty to me.
B > A > C, in my opinion. I could always get high scores timing my moves to this, for some reason... :D Was this composed specifically for Tetris, or was it an outside song, like A (Korobeininki--sp?) was?
When I bought the Game Boy that included Tetris I couldn't wait to play it. But to my disappointment it didn't feature Track 3 from the NES version, but I played Track B whenever I played the Game Boy version, and to this day it remains my favorite track
AYE... THAT MUSIC B WAS THE HARDEST OF THE MUSICS ON TETRIS... MUSIC C WAS ALL SOPHISTICATED... B FELT LIKE I WAS IN THE HOOD OR IN EL SALVADOR OR SOMETHING... LOL
This music is also used in the NES version of Tetris, only it's one step lower in key and not as good as the Game Boy version. This music was also used in the SNES version of Tetris in Tetris & Dr. Mario and also in the key of E minor
Type A is so overrated and gets tiring really fast if you played any Tetris game a lot. Type B is so much better and never gets old. THIS will always be the Tetris theme for me.
@@elia_best nah if the song has a name (this song specifically has two names in its native language and few other names in other languages), it should be referred by its actual name, just to respect the people who originally made the song.
@@ducksareurlords3782 but as the commenter is posting on a video of the game the song is used in and the song is called just "a" in the game then it is justifiable as they dont have to know the song name even if they play the game alot as the name is used in external pieces of media
the fact that this wasnt the "10 players left" theme in tetris 99 was just criminal.
I kinda like Flight of the Bumblebee as the 10 player one tbh, though I'd happily take this theme as the 50 player theme at least
Songs like whatever. C is the best.
35 years later and I'm still humming this tune while waiting for the microwave burrito to explode.
it was an nice lift-music too, while waiting for to fall to the bottom of the building😊
A. Goes great with Tetris.
B. Goes great with everything.
What about C

wait there are three?
Depends on the version
@@benp.865 A, B, and C, in the GameBoy launch version of Tetris, not totally sure about the other versions.
If you include the main menu music, actually 4.
There's more than 2?! Woah, thanks for the enlightenment!
This song is where stuff goes from normal to worrying, really captures the feeling of _”YOU NEED TO DO THIS SUPER FAST”_
yes
released around the timeframe everyone was on speed
Your the type of person who is popular but hangs around unpopular and sometimes popular youtube videos
Lo hacía más rápido porque la canción motiva y además es preciosa para que siga sonando a pesar del estrés encima, es increíble!
Everyone may love Type A more but Type B is the definitive Tetris song.
I totally agree. Not a big fan of Tetris itself, only played it because of Music B.

Type B has been stuck in my head for 15 Years. Yeah I love the Russian melody for Type A but this just has such a catchy vibe.
B >>>>>>>>>>>> A >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>C
***** Correction: A>>>>>>>>>>>>>>B>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>C
type A
if track b was the first one it would undoubtedly be more popular
Korobeniki, original piece, and Bach in the wrong key. That’s the choice between A, B, and C...
Awesome, didn't know that.
@Andrea Murrone I like Bach too. But then, I’m a nerd...
B is an original composition?

one of the most underrated tunes in video game history
Theme A Is Timeless But Theme B Is The True Bop🔥👌
Kinda weird how everyone remembers Theme A, but barely anyone remembers Theme B and even less Theme C
I remember all three tracks. Type B is my favorite
Honestly, because i only played the dr mario trtris combo on snes, which. Only had a and b modes, i didnt even know c existed
Awkward, I remember theme C the most as it is a bach piece. French suite 3, menuet. The key is different in the game, but still the same piece
B was my jam
Unpopular opinion: this is the best song in Tetris history
Nah
true !!
Followed by karinka and A-Type
Now I remember how awesome my childhood was!
Track B brings back memories of when I bought the Game Boy which included Tetris and I played that game

Bruh this ring in the MIDDLE of my math class AS MY RINGTONE and basically ruined the ringtone feel for me
If I could choose one of those tracks as my ringtone I'd go for Track B
I downloaded the song, clipped it in Audacity then emailed the ringtone to my self, its great

C makes me cry. B makes me want to swing in on a chandelier.
Truth!
C is kinda depressing, and, I might add, more depressing than A. B brings back memories for me

This was my go-to song choice while playing. Oh so many memories of playing this on the toilet! ♥

IMHO Music A is depressing, NTM extremely annoying
That's because Type C is by Bach.
Hands down bar none the absolute best music for Tetris ever

B rings back the memories !!
This is my choice song for hard core tetris sessions
This brings back memories! One of the best game beats ever!
Amen!
A. Always reminds of Tetris
B. Reminds me of the horse race tracks
C. Reminds me of a scheming butler attempting to steal his masters fortune
B > A > C, in my opinion. I could always get high scores timing my moves to this, for some reason... :D
Was this composed specifically for Tetris, or was it an outside song, like A (Korobeininki--sp?) was?
It's Fur Elise by Beetoven (sp)
If it is, it's a remarkably jazzed-up version of it...
It is.
Which--composed for Tetris, or an outside song?
Get outta town Kellie. It's not Für Elise. It's an original work by game composer Hirozaku Tanaka.
TFW you realize Vordt of the Boreal Valley from Dark Souls 3 is just Tetris Music B (AKA Csiko's Post) with a choir. 😱
Type B = clearly strongest Tetris music.
Always preferred this one
I miss this song sooo much that now I’m playing Tetris on my Switch but opening this for my background music!!! 😍😍😍😍
