@@RickMartinRUclips Says who? 😅
Says EVERYONE who has money and invests it and isn't in debt. LOL really?
I would buy a mid size but for the looks. I've never liked short
@@norrinradd9206 so you're saying someone can't be financially successful AND have a new vehicle? I bought used/older vehicles from 18 to 55 years old. Bought a brand new vehicle at 55 years old, still financially debt free.
@@norrinradd9206your ignorance is amusing. The vast majority of “financially responsible” people got that way by leveraging their debt. Anyone running a business or acting as an investor knows that debt is often a requirement for making money.
Any dealership that charges over MSRP should have their inventory deliveries frozen
As if ford and gm and others would risk making their top dealers mad, if only.
Just shop around, i’ve never paid over MSRP, in fact on 6 of 7 new vehicles purchased since 2020 I’ve paid less than MSRP on all but 1. Average paid price of $2000 below MSRP.
But, I’d rather pay the dealer a markup rather than paying a schmuck flipper the markup. I know, all markups are BS.
@@JetSkiSuper7 Markups are not BS. That's how free markets work. If you don't like it shop elsewhere or buy something else. You can probably get a great deal on one of the F-150s that have been sitting on the lot for the past two months. It's not like dealers have been raking in money the past four years, most are barely surviving.
@@plmn93 A fun fact about markups, it’s only the guys that have to have the latest vehicles that pay them. I’m reminded of the guys that paid $20k over sticker for the new Bronco and today, lots are flooded with them. Not only is their $20k gone, add depreciation on top of it. I don’t care what people do with their money and many people have money to burn.
You tell em comrade! How dare they make a profit on what is basically a toy, filthy capalitism at it's worst
I will NEVER pay a markup! Dealerships can choke on that inventory. Nice little truck.
MSRP is a made up number. The market determines the price.
Do NOT pay a markup. Be smart. Have restraint.
PREACH!!
then no new truck. Gotta get it used then, hopefully not from tfl who will abuse the shit out of it.
Market determines the price. No some number in a piece of paper.
$55,000 for this truck seems wayyyy more worth it than a $65,000 tacoma TRD PRO. Nice job ford 👍
I think 45 is asking a lot man and its only got cred because its a raptor
@@TheAnnoyingBossyeah and not even a V8
$57,560 is MORE than $55k. Just saying...
@@TheAnnoyingBoss Yeah, a "Raptor". You could put that name on anything and people would pay extra.
$65K for a Tacoma!!!? What the heck!
"I'm not gonna drag race it now, it's a new motor" don't worry, they've been drag racing it at the dealer for all of those 9 miles
I doubt the manual says anything about a break-in period.
@@JahyMoonwalkermodern vehicles do not require a “break in period”. It has been this way since the 80’s.
@@TheDieselndust That's not true. There are even new cars like the Z06 that even come with electronically limited redlines during break in.

I tried to watch the Motor Trend take on this I couldn’t finish the video Andre you are Awesome no matter what truck you got you ALWAYS give the highs and lows and never sound like you’ve been bought thank you very much 😎😎👍👍
Congratulations Andrey, you guys are on a roll with getting the midsize trucks early. Looking forward to seeing the Ranger Raptor on the channel.
Anyone else notice how the big 3 jacked up full size prices 30-40% right before they all rolled out their new, flagship mid-sizers? Now all the mid-sized pickups sit exactly where the full-sized trucks used to be in price range. This was all just a pricing exercise and economical game from the very beginning.
They have to subsidize the electric vehicles somehow.
Have you noticed that the price of food & energy has risen over the past 3 years?
Transportation cost have also risen. Diesel fuel has risen. The price of wood fuel pellets, too.
It takes more dollars to purchase the same product. Interest rates have increased.
Government mandates on what mfgs have to incorporate into there new products, now
cost the manufacturers and they past it on to the consumer.
Gooberment does not figure the cost of food & energy into the rate of inflation because
Gooberment likes to tell lies to “We The Sheeple”
Thank the Fed! First it was forcing garbage cylinder deactivation, then Inline turbo 4’s on the industry; Now we’re all funding EV R&D at all the manufacturers. Global warming is Expensive!
Was gonna say the same thing
Fantastic!!! Been very much looking forward to your content with the new Ranger Raptor.
Mine is still waiting to ship. So, getting to see and learn more about the truck is big help.
I actually made up my mind that I really wanted to buy one after your coverage from the Ranger press event videos a few weeks ago.
Found one available that was already in production so I jumped on it. I really wanted to know about comfort and features, and how well a taller bigger guy like me would fit.
Thank you guys again for covering interior in detail, ease of entry / exit, seat comfort, knee room all that good stuff.
To me having things like a B pillar crammed in my shoulder or knees bumping the dash or hard seats, are all deal breakers for me.
Great job guys. I really appreciate your excellent coverage on the really important things.
Man this is a great looking truck! Excited to see other videos from you guys!!!
Perfect truck imo. If I were in the market this would be my first choice

Designed and engineered in Australia - this has a little trick up it’s sleeve: turn the ignition off without putting the transmission selector back into Park and watch it put itself back into Park automatically
The f series do that too
So actors don’t run over themselves
It would be interesting to see if Ford Australia will introduce a Ford Everest Raptor, provided there is a market for it worldwide. ( The Everest is the SUV version of the Ranger outside the USA/North America market.)

Awesome can't wait to see future videos with this little ranger raptor can do! One thing that bugs me is the controls for the front and rear lockers are in the screen instead of physical buttons.
I agree about the lockers, should not be in the screen.
I stood my ground at an over sticker experience. I laughed and bought from another dealer and then took it to the oversticker dealer for service (it was closer) I always would pop my head in the finance guy (of the over sticker dealer) and say hello and nothing more. I didn't have to say I bought it somewhere else. He damn well knew.
I bet he sells it for over sticker and gives no shits you went somewhere else
You're still giving them your business though?
He got what he wanted for it and still retained your business. Way to stick it to him, lol.
You do know dealerships make their money in the service department lol 🤡
You get service at a dealership?
Looking at the door tag the truck was made 3/24/24
Hardly 2 weeks old.
Cant wait to see you test it.
Thanks TFL!
I absolutely LOVE Red vehicles.
My last pickup was a 11 Ranger XLT super cab 4WD.
We bought it used with only 20K miles.
It was Silver. (We Hate Silver, Grey, Charcoal Grey and Black), but we bought it for $6K less than book price. It was mainly used for work around our property.
I wanted to break up the Silver, so I had it 2 toned in Red metallic from the lower belt line down.
It also had Gloomy Grey and Death Black interior so I had it reupholstered in Red with black trim and stitching.
Everyone complimented me on what a beautiful truck it was.
I sold it right before I bought my 23 Tacoma TRD double cab, 6’ bed with Premium and Technology pkgs.
The Ranger had custom wheels, A/T tires, a K&N intake, Flowmaster exhaust, a LineX spray in bed liner, tonneau cover, running boards and red pinstripes, rear air shocks.
It booked out for $22K and I sold it for $28K. It had only 36K miles. It looked show room new.
The very first week of ownership with my 23 Tacoma, I installed a K&N cold air intake, a FlowMaster FlowFX turn down exhaust system.
It’s White and I’m saving up to have it 2 toned as well in Barcelona Red metallic that will follow the body lines of my Tacoma.
I’m currently waiting for Katzkin to finish making TRD Red seat covers with Black trim and stitching.
After Katzkin removes the factory Black Leather seat covers and installs the TRD Red, my buddy is buying the Black Leather for his 23 TRD that has Grey cloth interior.
I wish that my truck would have been painted the Barcelona Red, but finding any Tacoma TRD Off Road double cab with a 6’ bed and the Premium and Technology pkgs are VERY hard to find. Furthermore I bought my 23 on 2/29/24. It was the dealerships owners truck with 6K miles. It booked for $51,848, but I bought it for $48K.
I had been looking all over WA state and Idaho for the truck I wanted in Barcelona Red for almost a year, so I grabbed the one I bought.
If I could have found one in Barcelona Red, I would have had it 2 toned in Tan metallic.
By the time I’m finished with my White TRD, it too will be a 1 of a kind like my old Ranger.
Thanks for letting this old duffer ramble.
I Love your new Ranger. I’m sure that you will enjoy it very much. I hope it doesn’t break down as fast as your Blue 24 Tacoma did.
Cheers !
Congrats guys! Thanks for bringing us the content. Enjoy the Raptor!
Raptor Junior that is.
@The Fast Lane Truck: CONGRATS! You bought the truck that currently offers the best value in the pickup truck market in my opinion. And you chose the best color possible on the Ranger - Hot Pepper Red! Well done. Looking forward to every video you shoot on this truck!
Best Truck to drive BUT for value 💴🤑 still the ZR2
Best value at $60k 😂😂😂😂
No wonder these mid sized truck continue to be more expensive every year
I 100% agree there’s not another truck like it at that price. Honestly not crazy expensive for how much u get also. That’s why I bought one!!
@@keithhunt3437 Congrats, best of luck with it! Did you have to pay a markup?

I have a Chevy Colorado ZR2 & love the truck, but must admit that this is the new mid-size King. 👍🏻 The Tacoma is basically in 4th place if we separate the GMC & Chevy.
That’s not just an opinion, but rather the blunt reality in terms of capabilities & equipment.
Exciting and I'll be watching future Raptor vids! But, also makes me so proud of my old paid-off truck (Taco). Keeping it forever

nice truck! love the color! i have a Tremor and plan on downsizing soon and would love to get the Ranger Raptor. i may have to order one as there may be very few on lots to choose from. I will not pay over MRSP, did that with my Bronco Badlands, not again.
Glad that you’re happy. Hope y’all have better luck with this one over the Tacoma. Anyone who is paying way to much over MSRP, should have their head examined.
Wow impressive. They have done an awesome job with this vehicle. Interior looks amazing. I love the new screen and how it’s incorporated looks good and clean. The exterior looks awesome to Price seems very reasonable
So pumped for you guys and the upcoming vids featuring this.
That's a really good looking truck I wonder if you can look into getting the bed liner color matched
They could get custom tinted Raptor liner using the factory paint code. TINTABLE RAPTOR REQUIRES TINT (1 LITRE RAPTOR BOTTLE REQUIRES 3OZ OF PURE TINT).
Beautiful truck. You guys have an amazing job.
Beautiful truck, not worth $57,000 though.
Great buy! Cant wait to see how it performs.
Congratulations TFL.
Andre nice truck! You need a long road trip to break it in. Look forward to towing on the Ike!
Yes, drive it from Miami to Fairbanks.
That grill and bumper setup should be standard on all Ranger models.

I’m excited to see the series for this Raptor!
What do you think they should do with it? I say race a cybertruck across the country
Does it have cruise control?
Was waiting for that one (laughing)...
I think priorities are messed up on things
Heck I just picked up a New Ranger XL/STX 4x4 yesterday.
Beautiful truck. I’m very happy with my 2023 Ranger so far. I wanted the higher tow rating and I didn’t want to wait, so I’m happy not waiting for the Raptor, but I’m looking forward to you guys putting it through its paces.
Beautiful color. Watching on a 55” television, the truck color really pops.
55inch tv? Let's all stop buying t-shirts over 27 inches. 27 inch t-shirt are the most equitable size to ensure that every American can have a tv to watch and enjoy the sitcoms,"news" and corporate infotising.
Auto correct bamboozled my comment. Televisions not tshirts
@@kevincinnamontoast3669the price difference between a 55 and 32 is like 50 bucks.
It reminds me of the Laser Red they had on cars in the 90s, that was a 3 stage color with a matte rose gold base layer, candy red midcoat and clear. Beautiful in the sun when clean... kinda dull when it gets older. Strange fading too because the sun fades the red midcoat much faster than the gold base coat.
55" flex.
Great review as always😀. Beautiful truck, IMO!
Im looking into one and this is literally the spec that I want. What a beauty
They should make these mid-size trucks with an option to remove the rear seats and have a flat floor system .
Yep, that would be awesome. And have it split, 60/40 so you could just remove the section behind the driver, or both sides. The back seat and these mid-sizes are not good for passengers so they should make them better for cargo.
There's a company that markets a system like that for the Jeep Gladiator. Maybe they make a set like that for the Ranger.
I honestly wonder if the seats should be removed. The part you sit on for sure. But the part behind your back should probably be bolted in at that hinge area imo.
😊
I don't care about complete removal, but I hate those cubby things. Just give me a simple flat floor I can do whatever I want with, like the F-150. Ridgeline is the only midsize that does the back seat right IMO.
From the Brighton Ford website it looks like they are one of those dealerships charging markups over MSRP for Ranger Raptors and Bronco Raptors.
Glad you guys got the hookup but it would be worth calling them out on the fact that if you aren’t somehow connected they will stick it to you on the price. The way I look at it, they can make some extra scratch by selling these few vehicles over MSRP to folks with more money then brains but in doing so they are also tarnishing their image and reputation.
It’s their shop and their rules, but I hope people will remember how they put extra profit ahead of reputation since that will probably come into play one day when a customer needs service. Are they going to go that extra mile for the customer or will they, as evidenced here, put all their effort into wringing out a few extra bucks?
Calm down, Francis. Don't be jealous of people who can pay more than you.
90% of people paying $60k for a quarter ton truck CANT "afford" it. Just because you can make the payments for a miserable 84 months doesn't mean you can afford it.
@@jimjones-pz1tt Misquoting Stripes is somehow worse than dealer markup.
@fewworddotrick that is in fact what it means.
There is nothing magical about MSRP nor is there anything wrong with selling for whatever the customer is willing to pay.
Emerson opener designs are the best folders for this class. Ganzo was my fav for that reason.
Hey Andre, tell the camera man he did a great job! Awesome truck! Thanks for sharing. I can understand your excitement.
Here in Ontario Canada the Ranger Raptor "starts" at $80,140.00 LOL Came to $92,338.00 with spray in bed liner, block heater and red paint (including tax)....Great bargain!!
Yeah but that’s Canadian dollar. 80k Canadian is 60k US. More but not crazy more especially that Canadian dealers are not allowed to charge markups.
I thought you were joking. I did a quick search and you're right. Wtf. That's more expensive than my new HD diesel truck
You didn’t get a new HD diesel truck for $60k in 2024. 😃
@Pante… Yeah but he is in Canada. The $81K Canadian dollar he mentions is $60k US dollar and specifically say above that this is more expensive than your new HD diesel. Which isn’t. I got a new HD diesel last year too and it was $70k US dollar so I know the price.
Everyone will say "So what?" because of the exchange rate, but with our higher housing and fuel costs and the fact our salaries are calculated without any regard for the exchange rate, it is actually more expensive for us relatively speaking.
Three days later Roman comes back to take delivery of the Ranger Raptor and finds that Andrey is editing the Ike video for it. 😃

Great looking truck. Have fun doing the testing!
Congratulations TFL! YOU folks should open up a visitor center and fan interaction activities! You have all us fans loving your content and the chance to meet all of you would be awesome! I would buy Mr. Truck a beer for sure!
Thats a much better purchase than that overpriced basic tacoma.
Is it? With the markup at the Average Ford dealership it cost exactly as much as a Tacoma TRD Pro will, now wait 5yrs and see what the better bargain will be at selling time!
F150 Raptors have better resale values than Tacoma’s so if that continues to play out for the bronco Raptor and this new ranger raptor I don’t think there’s anything to worry about. If Toyota continues to have quality issues breaking a front differential on a new trd off-road truck with minor stress for instance the Toyota resale may start to wane.
When this raptor is 10 years old with 150,000 miles it will be more affordable. But will it still be in good shape
I looked a few days ago, and in MD there were 2 of these at nearby dealers with $10k markups. Another dealer nearby had a black one at MSRP.
For the first time, you bought an awesome truck, that I can also buy in the UK! Cant wait for the content on this special beast.
I loved the Raptor Ranger I test drove and was ready to sign in the dotted line until the dealer did the mark up shuffle on me and I told them where to stick it. Be getting my TRD Pro in July, already put $500 to hold it and getting it optioned up for NO markup and @ $ 59,500. Hope it's worth it.
Id say ranger raptor is better than a TRD. I think the ranger raptor is gonna be hard to beat.

It looks so good in that Hot Pepper Red. Great color choice! That's what I have on my Maverick FX4. It sure pops wherever it goes! I still have yet to see the new Ranger at any Ford dealership but I'm curious to see it.
I have some buddies in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada who have modded their Maverick FX4 trucks with a small 2 inch lift and put 33 inch M/T tires (or with a bit of cutting/welding some 35 inch tires!) and better coil-over shocks. They also kitted them out just like what is done to Jeep Rubicons for overlanding and extensive winterization but done to compact trucks and they use them like Raptors but in a smaller easier to maneuver Maverick configuration for the local off-road trails.
The Mavericks work GREAT as a compact 4x4 off-road truck. The unibody construction is NOT an issue! You can put fog lights, light bars, winches and heavy duty bumpers and bush bars with some proper welding of structural reinforcing members. Not that expensive to do either!

You shouldn't need a special relationship with a dealer to avoid markups.
That's what the MSRP/sticker is for (for everybody).
If anything, a special relationship with a dealer should put you below MSRP/sticker.
Hello, I'm from Brazil, I really liked your video. The Raptor here has protection on the bed.
It's a really fun car.
I ordered mine at MSRP. Kind of wish I got hot pepper red now….
Im surprised Ford didn't put in gas assist shocks for the hood.
Exactly
I am as well. My 2019 Ranger Lariat has them. There is no reason for this not to have them as well.

Honestly for this price through to me it should have gas shocks and prop rod for when they go bad you can just take them off. Weight reduction.
That is a great looking truck. Love the red
Granger Ford in Iowa offers dealer invoice minus 2% to anyone willing to pick up a phone and drive to Iowa for pickup. I just bought by F350 Tremor there and had the best experience. No bedliner at that price??
It is an extra 400 plus dollars option from Ford. Probably extra time to ship if they went with that option.
Bedliner from the manufacturers are really not great quality. Very thin and scratch up easily. Better off going with deal or aftermarket sprayed liner
