I'm building a bar similar to this. When I screw my pipes together tho, they are not straight. I tried to unscrew and screw several times because I thought I was off with matching the thread but it still comes out crooked. I'm trying to make a 90-degree angle. I'm using a 3-way and couplings to attach the pipes. Any pointers?
Make sure you are threading the pipes the same amount into each coupling. If one side is threaded further than the other, this will cause one side to be longer, throwing your diagonals off. Make sure all pipe threads are the same, bottoming them out in the couplings doesn’t necessarily mean they will all go in the same depth, measure your distances and adjust them accordingly.
... Hey hey hey.... Gonna ask my hubby to do this... Handy man is the best man a girl could ever married to... 💕
Im gonna try building it tmr ....fingers crossed
Great idea

How much does it cost to make
After the pocket screws, what did you scrape/sand the wood with?
I went from 80 grit to 120 then 220 to finish. After each coat of poly, I use 400 grit
Is there a list of supplies?
Was that the Kreg 320 kit?
Is there ANY way I could get you to sell and ship me one just like this? I’m looking for EXACTLY THIS for my home!!
How many times did you coat it with the steel wool?
What is the height of the bar top?
Corey Hammonds standard bar height, 42”
WHat did you use to clean the pipes?
Gabriel Luna any good degreaser or grease cutting solution will work
Without damaging the pipe or the galvanized?
What stain did you use after you were done sanding?
Jenifer Dobbertin I made my own stain with steel wool and vinegar
Anthony Scolaro yea I saw that... I thought maybe you added something after that. That's awesome! Thanks for sharing the video.
Love it
Looks great..is that only vin and water with a poly?...there must be something else..
Inhalin1514 thanks, and nope-just steel wool soaked in vinegar for 24 hours then 3 coats of poly
Very cool man, thanks for the response
steelwool reacts to vinegar and that make a perfect detrgent on the wood. poly is used only to protect the wood.
