Thank you for the instructable video., and materials list. I bought the pipe set with how you said to do it, was very satisfied with that process, and the stand went together flawlessly. I did my table top pretty much the same dimentions as yours with 2x10's and 8" of hangover on each end. I live in a studio apartment so this is going to be a multifunctional piece IE coffee bar, liquor bar and alittle space to eat at. I didnt have cutting tools so as you said in the video " big box store will cut your wood". This project turned out AWESOME....and thank you again for a most functional video
Awesome. It's nice to see an instructional video to build something that's functional, looks cool, and doesn't require thousands of dollars of tools I don't have.
thank you! I could not figure out for the life of me how to make a table base with 3/4 inch threaded pipes and fittings. I tried everything and kept ending up with a rectangle that I could not tighten the last pipe. I defiantly got stuck on stupid and your video made it so clear to me. thank you again
Thanks for sharing your technique for pre-drilling the holes. If the desk is one inch thick, and the wood pieces are one inch thick, what's the correct drill depth? How long should the screws be?
If I want the top totally smooth (so it doesn’t mess with writing) could I fill the crack with wood putty? Would the putty look different than the rest of the wood when I apply the stain? Thanks for a great video!
What are the deminsions of the width and length from the outer sides of each of the flanges? Trying to determine the minimum sizes of my table with this kit. Thx!
Your demo is awesome! Newbie here. Once the ends are cut to specific length, how are they attached, as I see you screwing the connectors on the leg pieces? Once cut there are no threads, right?
Is that actual plumbing pipe?? Any particular reason you didn't use the non-threaded pipe with the allen head fittings?? It's cheaper and made for this application I believe. I'm about to build a table myself , but man, that plumbing pipe is expensive!!!!!
I can't find 26" 3/4 black pipe and this table calls for 6 pieces. Where did you get yours? X

Glad I could help!
Looks great. Planning on making this as a standing desk for my gym. I’ll also be torching the wood to expose the wood grain. Cheers.
What an awesome and easy table to build!!
It really is!
Thank you! This is a great idea and worked out great for us.
Glad it was helpful!
Great Job Jim. That's A Nice Bench. You Always Do A Professional Job On Whatever You Are Doing.
Thanks 👍
how well balanced is this table ? I mean, isnt this just tipping over easily ? I am considering building this, looks awesome !!
Thanks for sharing your technique for pre-drilling the holes. If the desk is one inch thick, and the wood pieces are one inch thick, what's the correct drill depth? How long should the screws be?
The screw should only be about 1/2 to 3/4 the depth of the wood.
Perfect. I'm doing this tomorrow
I'm happy to help. Thanks for watching.

Good question but that will not work. You would have to joint the two pieces together with glue, dowel pins and clamps.
Could this kit be used for an 8' long bar top? Or would there not be enough support.
I don't think it will be enough support for 8'
What are the deminsions of the width and length from the outer sides of each of the flanges? Trying to determine the minimum sizes of my table with this kit. Thx!
Sorry I'm not sure. Take a look in my Amazon store I know that I have it there and it shows the size. www.amazon.com/shop/jimthecarguy
Would you need to rub any kind of oil or rust inhibitor on the pipes to prevent Rusting from the dampness in the air?
If it is inside a house you should be ok .Don't forget to subscribe.
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you for your service 🫡
if no stretcher is sturdy?
Yes it is sturdy.
Hello. Nice table... What was this cost of this build project?
Sorry I'm not positive bot i think it was under $200.00 all together

you will need to but the size you need for your project
I want this table but I need it in this dimentions L-66" W-12" H- 36" can you help me?
You will need to go to a big box store and pick up the length of pipe you need for your project.
Is that actual plumbing pipe?? Any particular reason you didn't use the non-threaded pipe with the allen head fittings??
It's cheaper and made for this application I believe. I'm about to build a table myself , but man, that plumbing pipe is expensive!!!!!

What thickness and width is the wood
That is personal preference but these are 6 inch boards.
hi mr Jim
is there a specific software you use to plan your pipe design before you construct it ?
thanks
No I just build it the height and width that I needed. I'm sure that you can find plans on line for this project.
Connecting the pipes for something like this is a real PITA. Lol
Actually it did go very easy. Thanks for watching.
Where do you buy the pipes and flanges?
You should find them in a big box store . If you can't find them take a look on Amazon.
Your pipe has a rough texture, everything I find is smooth painted black. Am i looking in the wrong place or wrong product.
You can find them in a big box store. They are called black pipe.
What is the length of the wood you used?
You can cut the wood to any size you need .In this case I did need to cut off a few inches from a 6 ft piece.
6 inches
What was the length of your screws
The screws I think were 1 1/2 inches long. Thanks for watching.
Am I buying the wrong pipe why does everyone’s go on so easily... I get mine from Home Depot
As long as they are all the same it is normal to get tight when installing together.
Nice!
Thanks!
