No one can come near The Kinks in term of the sheer quality of their work, along with brilliant Ray's compositions. No one.
No matter what songs people like The Kinks are a fantastic band :)
Greatest band in music history.
I always thought that I was their biggest fan....not so.....millions of us have loved their music...Ray and the boys are and were incomparable. I heard You really Got Me on my parents stereo in 1964, a 45 bought by my brother, a Wailers fan in Seattle...from those two chords, like many of us, I was hooked.....forever!

Victoria, Destroyer, and Come Dancing shouldn't be in the top 10. Sub in Tired of Waiting. Glad to see a Well-Respected Man on here.
I love The Kinks but I swear 3 of the songs had the same bass and guitar riff
All Day And All Of The Night and Destroyer have exactly the same riff.

The difference with the Stones is that they could deliver a great song like "Do It Again" twenty years after their debut. I don't think a top ten choice is big enough. What about "David Watts", "Holiday", "Till the End Of the Day", "Top of the Pops", "Dandy" and more?

Para oyentes avanzados de la Banda, ya que los The Kinks no solo era una banda de los '60s, como creen una mayoría. Ray Davies evolucionó tanto que a sus funs incondicionales como críticos los dejó muy atrás. Y en los setenta sino eran tan buenos como en los sesenta los fueron casi!! Les pasó a Lennon, Mccartney, Dylan...sus trabajos no eran tan increibles como en sus etapas anteriores.

The kinks below the rolling stones right out the water not to say the stones didn't have some good songs I would put the kinks 60s stuff up their with the Beatles but I think they did a better job than Lennon/McCartney did with their solo stuff the only Beatle I listen to after the Beatles is George Harrison/ Traveling willberrys John and Paul did have some good songs but I just prefer George's stuff. if not for Ray I would say that Dav would have made a great willberry🐒
My favourite British band, they are far better than the Beatles
banned from the usa between the crucial years of 64-68 cost their popularity,but no doubting their quality. ray is a better sonngwriter than any of the beatles.

Victoria should be in the top 5 easy. 20th century man is not their top 5, and it should be their number 1. This is not a legitimate TOP 10 by Kinks.
