Moving My Plane To Its New Home

- After one and and a half years based at Linden, New Jersey, I’m moving to a new airport. But where? Well, watch to find out! I’ll walk you through my reasons, the decision process and some of the new flying adventures that I have planned for 2023, and that will begin out of a new runway. Used to fly out of Linden and trained at Solberg airport. Great to see familiar areas.
I knew I recognized those hangars! I took soaring lessons out of Somerset way back when there was a glider operation there. I've got a few videos of Schweizer 2-33 flights there. All the best at your new home!

Congrats on the new hangar for 84U, Bruno. Linden is a great home for NYC pilots, but you made the right choice for safety getting out from under the bravo airspace. Flying below 1000 feet in a small single engine piston over congested areas is nerve racking. For a second when I saw the blue hangars I thought you had moved in as my neighbor at N12.
Thank you, Dima! Agree with you, and that was a major consideration in my decision to look for a new airport. I have yet to make it to N12, can’t wait!

Does the Aspen equipment in your panel do the altitude callouts on final? I heard 500, 400, 300, 200, 100 as you were approaching the runway. Very nice video!
Those call outs actually come from the Avidyne IFD550. It’s really nice! The Aspen PFD also gives callouts for Altitude (when your reaching or deviating for the selected altitude on the screen) and Minimums (on instrument approaches). Thanks for watching, buddy!

Bruno, nice video. Good luck on the new home. I had my Tiger previously based at an airport that was 2800 feet. Helps keep you sharp. If you get out to Ohio again, make a shout,out on Grumman Gang, and we can do lunch somewhere.

What cameras are you using, I am looking at videoing my own flights and I am understanding that GoPro isn't the right choice.
I use GoPros and the iPhone camera!
