For anyone having trouble with this boss: bring wulfric into the fight his stage 4 art completely destroys the cables HP and use the spike defense aux core itll reduce that burst of damage midfight by 70%
I exactly did that, but without knowing it. I was just using Wulfric, because I was doing a blade combo, and stayed playing with him the rest of the battle
For everyone who struggled with destroying the Aesthma Core this is what you need to do... Get the power cords to 50 percent hp DONT ATTACK AFTER 50 BECAUSE IT WILL DO HEAVY DAMAGE Fill up all of your gauge by attacking the Core NOT THE CABLES When your gauge is filled do a chain attack on the power cords REPEAT UNTIL THE CABLES ARE DOWN...
@@fadedthunder369 that's why you have to bring healers to your party. In my party I used Morag and Zeke, Zeke had Pandora's for attack and two healer blades, while Morag acted as tank with Brighid (she also had Perceval as another tank, and Vess as healer). So I was the heavy attacker, Morag the tank with the possibility of doing healing, and Zeke the same but with attack instead of defense.

Aeladya Nintendo doesn't technically develop their own titles. Then again, neither does Sony or Microsoft. They brand them, sell them, advertise them, but games are always developed by smaller teams who have either sold their exclusivity to Nintendo, or have been formed exclusively to work for Nintendo. Monolithsoft is the former. They're now basically a sub-company of Nintendo. So yes, it's by all means a Nintendo game. If it's exclusive to the system, then it's absolutely a Nintendo game.
Yeah, main title Mario and Zelda, and I think Splatoon, Arms and Animal Crossing are the only game series directly done by Nintendo now a days. Even then, companies like Capcom made some Mario and Zelda titles.
Straight on firez at half health, there’s spike damage that does hilarious amounts of damage. Stack up orbs and use a chain attack when the lines get to half health.
The key of this battle it's make a good use of your skills, you need to take advantage of your arts, specially anchor shot because it gives you potions that fill the health bar and team bar and it can makes Jin fall, it's good to lose at least one time with Jin, it helps you to know his moves and what you can and must avoid, don't be afraid of Chain combos, and take advantage of blade combos, most of Jin's attacks can be avoided except the one where he disappears and then appears again and all your members take damage Believe me, This would make your battle more easier
Somehow I did this fight on my first try. I really wasn't prepared for spike damage, but I still got through the first phase. Rest of the battle was easy for me. My characters were around lvl 46.
The general idea is to safely build up Party meter from the core and blow it all on the power lines once it's below half health. Elemental orbs via Blade Combo will also make this easier.
I'm having trouble fighting the core the second time. The power cable fight was irritating but I learned to whittle it down, attack the core to charge special, and nuke the cables. I didn't have a problem with Jin. My team members are level 36-38
For anyone struggling just you need to burst dps the cables down ASAP once they are at half health. I had one orb on them, then hit blade combo and easily overkilled. Party was high 40's
Personally, I dislike the Aeshma's Core boss fight but Jin's boss is better. Jin is hard, don't get me wrong, he will kick your ass the first time. Even so, I still find him fun to go against. The same cannot be said to the other boss. It's so irritating to deal with and it has spike damage when enrage. That boss can burn for all I care.
I feel like the boss would probably be a lot more bearable if it was clear that it had spike after it enrages. This game doesn't really explain what spike is, and as far as I know there is no visual indicator for it either like there is in XCDE. Players that have past experience with the xeno series will probably be able to recognize all the extra damage they're taking as spike, but a new player would have no idea since the game doesn't really say anything about it
@@KittazziCrafter pretty much. But with the use of pouch items, blade combos, and a strong set up, that fight against that boss with spike damage becomes more bearable than. I'd say if you don't have spike damage reduction aux cores, use Nia with 3 Blade that are healers. That will help a lot. I still don't like the boss but I don't hate it as I used to now that I have complete knowledge of the combat system.
This boss battle was very difficult to beat in my opinion because of the electric shockwave attack that the boss used which most of the time kills me. It took me numerous tries to finally beat this boss fight.
I did it a bit different. I decided to have some fun and tried to see if it was possible to beat the core in any way, so I stacked every single elemental orb on the core (Yes, all 8 of them) and then chain attacked. during the chain attack he would still do his insane healing, but once I got the full burst, I was actual able to defeat the immense healing and killed the core first lol
I just tried the same thing lol. But in my case i was't able to overcome his healing. So i just stack up 3 level special for every member and fill up the chain gauge to kill the cable before it was able to hit me.
The Aeshmas core is what I expected the Artifice Aion to be except the final boss status and the mid story boss stats got mixed up mid development. I'm still stuck on it
If you can't defeat the power lines, I'm going to give you and advice, part of your team can be fighthing against the aeshma's core and you can be fighthing against the power lines, take advantage of your team bar to make chain combos, if you are fighting against the power lines and the others members are distracting the aeshma's core, when you make a combo chain they are going to be attacking the power lines with you
Holy shit man, fuck the first phase of this battle. Took me like 2 hours to figure out how to beat it. Thank the fuck for that chain attack. Jesus, Mythra's godlike power saved me, as well as having Roc and Wulfric equipped on Rex and Zeke.
the mogen hox enemies drop spike defense 2 aux cores which is really helpful in this fight, i've read that the cables deal spike damage when you hit them. hopefully the spike defense helps enough!
Everyone seems to have a problem with the first boss fight (Aeshima's core and the power cord) but I didn't have any problems with that, I have problem with third boss fight (Aeshima's core) I'll get it down to about 90% health and then the thing goes try hard and wipes out my entire party, I tried attaching element orbs but by the time I do that it has already orbital nuked my entire party to ashes, It's been like this for two days I've changed up my tactics switching party members stacking defensive aux cores etc, etc, Any advice anyone can offer me? Rex is Lvl 41, Nia is Lvl 41, Zeke is Lvl 46, Morag is Lvl 45, and Tora is Lvl 42, I was thinking of doing more grinding, but I think I may just be doing something wrong with this boss fight.
I ended up beating it by giving Mythra, Dromarch, Spike damage defense II Auxcores which negated 70% of spike damage, which caused me to basically slaughter everything, thank you for that tip though I'll use that tactic on my second playthrough.
Jacob A. Gallant The core does have spike, but the enemies in the area drop tons of Spike Res aux cores. Like, this fight was a little troublesome, but it wasn't that hard.
Xando S Stop going for health potions. Just equip some of the Spike Resist aux cores, and the fight becomes cake. Health potions are extremely inefficient until you get the larger ones later on. I don't know what you mean by "farming" health potions, but neither farming nor spamming healing moves are going to help you. You need to find a way to stop the boss from doing so much damage in the first place. Luckily, the game makes it easy.
Yo why are your levels so high? I'm at this point in the game and my levels are 37-38 for tora, rex, and nia, 35 for morag, and 40 for zeke. What did you do to get that high?
Ok so i slept in an inn, and now my party levels are 39 for rex, tora, and nia, 42 for morag, and 45 for zeke. I've tried different accessories and pouch items, and even tried the disengage tactic in the middle of the fight amd absolutely none of it worked. I keep getting it to around half health or lower relatively easily, and then the core just nukes my team. There legitimately seems to be no way to get past this thing
The first fight was such bullshit. If you don't do it juuuust right you are wiped super fast. I died like 3 times before figuring out how to win then like 5 or 6 times before I did it correctly.
How do you get the big chain attack at 22:49??? I've been on the Final Aeshma's Core fight at the very end forever. I've literally lost count of how many times I've fought it and died, spent at least 8 hours straight trying it now, and I always die just about instantly once I get it down to about 25% health. Fighting it up to that point is an absolute breeze, but once I get down to that point, its homing missile attacks annihilate my whole party and uses up all my revives, then finishes me off. I am literally at am impass on this fight and it has just about turned me off to the game altogether, which is a damn shame because I've really been enjoying it up to this point. My whole party is at at least LV 45, but that seems to make no difference here. Someone please help me out with some advice.
I love this game and all, but the random difficulty spikes are really fuckin' stupid. Malos and Akhos from Chapter 3? I have never raged so hard at an RPG before.
Kyle Waynick Well the cable has some kind of spike damage thing equipped that activates once it has 50% HP remaining, meaning that every hit you land on the cables will damage your party. You should equip Aux cores that give you spike resistance. You can try to get some element orbs to the cable and then nuke it with chain attack by filling the 3 bars, once it starts getting tough. You could also do some insane healing too if you can. Oh, and if it looks like your party is going down before they can destroy the core after all that then INSTANTLY ORDER EVERYONE TO ATTACK THE CORE and ignore the cables. Doing this will stop the boss from slaughtering you to bits. Fill the three bars again, and unleash them upon the cables once more to kill it off.
San Holo that's one thing I really dislike about this game. You totally need huge amounts of grinding in order to prepare for any kinds of unfair shitness. Cores, Rare Blades, fully upgraded Skill Trees. The game is simply asking too much when it comes to getting through the main storyline. In most JRPGs level grinding alone should have allows you to beat the game easily.
You really don't need to grind at all. Watch the speedrun of the game - they go through the entire game about 5 levels underleveled and they do just fine, because they know how to use the battle system to the fullest extent.
After playing this game over 40 hours I think Im ready to give my 2 cents worth. The story and the characters and the world are great, but there is way too much grinding and the combat becomes really boring once you realize that there isn't any strategy beyond being at a high enough level. At first you think that choosing the right equipment and blade and doing the correct moves at the right time actually means something, but after a while you begin to realize that it's all for show and meaningless. Run into a boss, get your ass kicked, go back and grind for 5 hours. That's how this game works, and it gets extremely boring. You can be several levels above a boss and still get your ass kicked, and don't tell me to git gud, because I am good. I was really into all the systems and learned them and practiced with them for a long time. I know how the game works, that's how I realized that it doesn't actually do anything. Grind, grind, grind that's what they should call this game.
I'm 90 hours in and I've never had to grind for a boss battle. I've lost several fights, but I never left the arena to level up or anything. You're either skipping sidequests, skipping inns, or you're not as good at the game as you think. Otherwise there's no reason why you're constantly grinding and I'm not.
I've never had any problems with leveling up, especially with the extra boost from staying in inns for the extra EXP. We would have to judge your current character setup to know if your words hold meaning.
im about 70 hours in and ive never had to grind other then this boss here for the first time i had to go back and do side quest which if i had my time back i would have done first time around.
