Just Like the other comment. Here from South Africa. We are a car "loving" nation. That's why all the spl records are here. Not that these builds are spl😂 (imagine). My car has a fully active system (yes, much, much lower down the food chain). Sony head unit, upgraded battery/alternator. Fully sound deadend, footwell, boot, roof, doors. Kicker amps, kicker splits front and rear, kicker sub (sealed enclosure), silkdome tweeters, Rockford processor (DSR1), rockford capacitor. The system is time aligned. I know it is not to this level of money but the enjoyment it provides is unmatched. The enjoyment other people get from listening to their favourite songs is amazing.
@CambridgeCarAudio quick question. The cables you run, are they OXYGEN FREE COPPER or at this level are there light weight cable options? Is there any way to get around that when there aren't budget constraints. I mean I saw that with Gordan Murray's cars, their entire systems probably weigh less than my subwoofer and it's enclosure, nevermind sound deadening.
Why do car makers always put the cheapest speakers into such expensive cars? The speakers grilles may say an high end brands but the speakers are always the cheapest they can get away with. Nice install on such a nice looking car. 😀😀😀
They need to turn a profit. Also, with a high end sports car in particular, most customers treat the audio as an afterthought. They're more concerned about the driving experience, and listening to the exhaust note. Additionally, upgrading the system adds a lot of weight which the car was not designed with in mind. I didn't see any shots of the interconnects used, so I don't know if they ran new wiring for the speakers, but the amps, speakers, and sound deadening alone must have added about 10 kilos to the car if not more.
@@CambridgeCarAudio oh, thanks for the info. I don't do professional installs anymore, but I got back into it personally a couple years ago forgetting how fun it was to have a nice sounding car. I would love to have seen your wire runs. As a former pro installer those are the things that I really appreciate and I also like how clean the sound deadening application was as well. I'm going to check out more of your videos to see if you detail any of the process with dSP configuration or anything like that. I didn't even realize Audison was still in business but I know they were always known for high-end high quality components.
@ we have a video on tuning with our M5. We don’t show everything as tutorial style as we document these for future business and marketing as well as sharing someone the incredible cars and systems we do
A Big step up the days of "mike wells " ! But hands down , the difference even £50 worth of sound deadening panels from ebay and a afternoon doing door inner and outer skins and the door card will blow your mind . The difference is amazing .
Fantastic instal! I have a question also, how do you decide how much power every speaker needs and is there a max ammount of power that you can send tho for example the tweeter ?
I honestly thought that in the titel the 'soundsystem upgrade' would be an exhaust upgrade video. Since this might be the very last car that actually needs an audio system. Nice job nevertheless!
$25K+. EASY. Probably closer to $50K - at least, that's what a custom install would be worth here because you basically need to disassemble and reassemble the entire car.
@@Guuggel dude, are you blind? The labor ALONE is easily $150-200 an hour. The parts selection is one thing, but the labor is the big killer here - you need to basically rip the car apart and put it back together OEM-perfect. This video only shows you the easy parts. It doesn't show you how much of a bitch it is to make sure modern supercars throw zero codes after reassembly.

Absolutely nothing wrong with a voce tweeter and it's only there to play a certain frequency and the higher frequency is easier to achieve than the lower so is perfect for that application, I'd be concerned if it had a thesis tweeter but a voce midbass. Excellent install and just how the client wanted.
interesting twist to the sound install, respect from South Africa✊

How much weight did you add?
Were the Mille Legend tweeters too large as well?
