This song got me into Blind Melon because of its grateful dead like feel which was of course very appealing to a young dead head at the time. Little did i know, the rest of the album and ensuing albums really didn't have that vibe. BM was straight up rock in the time of grunge. Their sound was original to them. They became one of my favorite bands ever, still listening in 2024. Shannon's voice and the competing/complimentary riffs of Rogers Stevens and Christopher Thorn are a thing of beauty. It's a shame they weren't as appreciated in their time as other bands. I'm glad to see goose pay tribute to them this way and to get Rogers on stage is just the icing on the cake. Well done!
I’ve watched a few times and it happens each time. Takes you back to simpler times and brings back many beautiful memories and also some not so good. RIP Shannon Hoon!!
Blind Melon is one of the greatest bands ever in my humble opinion. I would suggest to anyone unfamiliar with them to do a deep dive. They were the hybrid 90's grunge/ jam band which to a dude that graduated in 1991 the best of both Worlds! Great songs, great chops, and a truly special lead man. Nice work on this one Goose!
We’re same age.Soup is in my top 10.Shannon was a speacial front man.I get mad/sad everytime i think of what couldv’e been.They were that good.Seen them 3 times.They got better every time.Cheers!!
Shannon would be so happy to see this. Blind Melon got me through some real tough times in my life. I still listen to them to this day. Love each other and get up and face the world. 🫶
Wow Roger really put a great jam band spin on this one...and did it magnificently. This one is going in the archives. Goose just never fails, of course Blind Melon never did either. We miss you Shannon. ✌️☮️
Def did a good job, but ffs, still so sad that such a talented, young person's life was cut short by drugs. obviously, it goes with the territory of making music and following/finding the muse,, but doesn't make it any better. Glad I was able to see them a few times while he was still around.
Rogers is a great guitarist. Rogers and Christopher thorn were such and awesome combo. You could distinctly hear their guitar parts in different ears on the old school headphones. Love Blind Melon.
Amazing combination indeed. They've always found a way to speak complete sentences simultaneously without talking over each other. It shouldn't work but somehow they're a rare, beautiful combo like no other.
I had a chance to see Shannon's last show at Number's in Houston... 🥺 The words 'I'll catch them next time they come through' still haunt me on a regular basis. Shannon was special then, but since then has shaped the way I feel, see and hear music. He absolutely changed and saved my life more times than I can count or convey. Shannon would absolutely love this and to see Rog up the jammin' with these beautiful musicians is absolutely gorgeous. The sound and playing is top notch, the vibes are real and Shannon lives on.
A "GOOSE" WITH "NO RAIN" IS PERFECT TIME TO JAM AND DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY IN PHILA~DEL~PHI~A!!!!! Phantastic!!!!!!!!Perfect performance. Amazing...Goose performed one of the perfect sets last night to date from any band from anywhere. Go Goose Go!!!! 😎🍉💜
Hot damn!! These boys are just straight 🔥!! It really makes you wonder what Blind Melon would’ve done if the legend that Shannon was had been able to really reach his pinnacle.
I so wanted to go to this show and see Goose for first time, but my concert buddy couldn't make it and it's just not the same. Hoping they stop by Philly area again soon.
honestly I didn't think a show could be better until the next night in n.y. ,that was the best show I've been to to date!!!! These guys are on fire 🔥 right now
Although the song is credited to the whole band, it was bassist Brad Smith who wrote the greater part of "No Rain." He said: "The song is about not being able to get out of bed and find excuses to face the day when you have really, in a way, nothing."
This is awesome! I have a soft spot in my heart for this song. I had a middle school English teacher who would insist on calling me Buzz because I had this grey and yellow long sleeve shirt (one of those t shirt/long sleeve shirt combo things - very 2000s) that I liked to wear a lot. She said it reminded her of the music video every time I wore it. Hope you’re doing well out there, Ms. Baker! 😂
Oh wow. I truly loved Blind Melon. Shannon was one of the great lead singers of that era. Rhythm section kind of missed the vibe on this, but noble effort and happy to see it. ❤

Well...he failed on the dosage.
Philly Needs multiple nights runs, the energy Philly
Brings is pretty special.
Nope. We deserve the multiple night runs here in Cincinnati. Philly gets enough. It's our turn homie
I was there for this show, I had no idea it was there biggest show yet! Props to the boys for killing it 🪿
This show was absolute fire! A night I’ll never forget and I’m sure the band will always hold close
I was surprised by my emotional reaction to this. I love rock and roll. 😊
Rogers is a great guitarist.

This is really cool. One of the most unmistakeable guitar tones of all time.
First Goose show and it was fantastic
Very tasteful moment!
During this exceptional, life-affirming jam, the bass player takes 7 observable steps. That's about one step per minute. Rejoice.
This is pretty freaking cool guys
I have been waking up with Goose in my head , listening to them almost every morning, like I am now😊
One of my all time favorite songs💝
As a huge fan of BM, well done!
Nice collaboration.
Damn. Roger must have been stoked to see that song taken to the next level. Nice one!
Thank you, and RIP Shannon.
Great cover of PG’s In Your Eyes last night too!
Completely in awe!!! This brings me so much joy!!
My Favorite Song!
Rogers Stevens was the first giy I ever saw sit in with another band. He joined Candlebox in NY for a cover of Galaxie a few months after Hoon died.
This was so good
Yessss❤ Rogers is so talented and that's awesome to see him up there jamming with goose!

Saw Blind Melon in 1992. Great set.
Hot damn!! These boys are just straight 🔥!! It really makes you wonder what Blind Melon would’ve done if the legend that Shannon was had been able to really reach his pinnacle.
God, I miss Blind Melon. "Soup" might be the best album ever made ...
What a night 😮💨 more peaks last night than the Swiss Alps
Love this one as a 77 year old veteran
How does you being a veteran have anything to do with it?
As a fat guy in his mid 30s, love this
@@Kaptinkumar history my boy, while in Vietnam this song was played by another band
David Bowie once got thanked for playing a Kurt Cobain song, the man who sold the world...

So fun and Rick does the song eminent justice.
