I used to believe that you needed to live right in order to get to heaven and let me tell you, I was overwhelmed and felt defeated every day at how I kept letting God down. It made me despondent and a very worldly Christian who did not spread the gospel to anyone. Since I came to the glorious realisation of OSAS a few years ago I was and still am on fire for Christ. I am more active now and trying harder to live a holy life to glorify God out of gratitude for Christ’s sacrifice for me. I want others to come to this wonderful truth. God bless.
God bless you it gives us confidence to fight when we know that God's got our back I know this because so many times in my life I will go do something and I would leave God and go back to the world back and forth in and out of church and one day after I came back I went to The Altar and prayed and God spoke to my heart and he told me this how come every time you go through something our relationship suffers and he gave me a picture of a man coming home from work getting yelled at by the boss and he comes home and yells at his wife God is faithful and he is teaching me how to stand and yes I miss it and me and you miss it our God is faithful God bless you thank you for your words of encouragement
That belief makes it much easier to not fight temptation. Ephesians 6:10-17 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand thereforehaving your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Fight the good fight of faith if you get knocked down confess the sin and ask for forgiveness. 1John 1:9
Same here, became born again 29 years ago and lived in fear for many years through lack of knowledge, disobedience and not studying God's word, eventually quit drinking and cocaine addictions through the power of the Holy Spirit, it took some time after escaping from false churches and even online false doctrines to accept that by myself I can do nothing but I do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Glory to God.

Wow. Thank you! I'm going to keep reading all of these over and over until it really sinks in. Then maybe i can stop worrying and wondering all day if God loves me and I'm his child or not.
Excellent video !! How in the world can so many people not see the contradictions of holding the position that one could lose their salvation. It is mind blowing 🤯.
Excellent. We who have the indwelling Holy Spirit as a result of salvation are daily motivated to live for Christ. Many years ago, I co-wrote a song "All of My Heart", to which I later added a bridge: No greater love Your grace beyond measure Atoning for sin alone on the tree How else to respond To such mercy and favor Than to give You the life You've given to me This is followed by verse 2: For I have received life eternal Saved by Your grace I live forever Surrounded by love I know that You are there Free of my sin I'm free to serve You Free to begin a life to please You All of my days I'm ever in Your care There is no earthly expression of how freeing it is to know our eternal life is truly eternal, from this moment onward.
We can relax/rest in His grace. That poor pastor who never relaxes. What a hard way to live...in such uncertainty. Praise God that He wants his children secure in His strength, grace and love. No longer trusting ourselves.

Of the many ways that the broader Christian community criticizes the free grace position, I think the one that lacks the most self-awareness is this: that "once saved always saved" leads to a life of laxity and worldliness. However, having been in both free grace and non-free grace churches, I see the same laxity and pull of the world in both places. The Bible makes it clear that Christians can and do slip into laxity/worldliness (I think of the letter to the Galatians, who slipped back into law-living). I think that's a separate issue, one of discipleship. The motivation, however, should not be (as the reformed, calvinist, and catholic positions are) that we should fear losing salvation. Instead, the motivation should be that we are freed by the blood of Jesus Christ to serve Him if we believe in Him for everlasting life. Is fear or freedom a better motivator? Freedom, obviously.

My personal experience with the "maintain your salvation because you can lose it at any time". I had been saved for years, a strong Christian, loving growing in the faith. Then we moved and in the process of seeking a new church, I talked with a pastor. He tried to convince me that our salvation is not secure and we never knew if we'd make it to Heaven since the day we died we could have sinned and not asked for forgiveness. I left that meeting feeling suicidal in ways I'd never experienced before. If today I'm sure of my salvation, but tomorrow i have even a slight chance of going to hell, then death today is better by far. It was awful. I immediately did a bit of research to make sure that OSAS was Biblically sound, and felt such relief in the assurance of my salvation. I am safe in God's hand, who will not lose me, and don't need to feel the pressure of staying there under my own power. Thank you Lord!
Feeling suicidal over your lack of assurance because of false doctrine is exactly what Satan wants. I'm thankful that when I was saved back in 1977 nobody had put this lose your salvation garbage into my head. I just believed that I was born again and I had right now as a present possession eternal life. That is what I still believe all these years later. There is not a single verse in the entire Bible that teaches we can lose our salvation or eternal life. We can't work to get eternal life and we don't lose it if we fail to live a perfect life. People who think you can lose your salvation are in spiritual bondage and darkness. It's a shame really. I wish all Christians understood this wonderful doctrine that is based soundly in the Bible. The clear and repeated teaching of the gospel of John gave me rock solid assurance that remains to this day over 47 years later.

@@randyd9805I wish I could believe this doctrine but my understanding of the word of God tells me different and after being in a congregation that believes the opposite for 20 years, it’s hard to believe the complete 180. Dear Bob, true brother, "He that has My word, let him speak it faithfully." Its not in vain, and whats more is that, the joy of the Spirit eminates as you do! It is so refreshing, and a cause to praise our God for "so great a salvation." Love is the fulfillment of the whole law, and Lord Jesus is it, and is it for us, forever!
Raised in a Wesleyan church that taught you would go to hell if you died before you could repent of any sin committed. At 15 I realized this made salvation impossible and said forget it! It took me years to come back and that was only because someone explained the real Gospel to me. These people either convince themselves they live sinless lives (they will say things like they made a "mistake" but didn't really sin) or they are constantly running down to the "altar" every Sunday to get re-saved until they burn out and can't take it any more. I still cringe every time I'm in a service and the leaders lean heavy on the altar calls or even if they believe in eternal security they go on and on about "are you really saved?" The church still drives me crazy sometimes, but I force myself to go.

You're simple ignorant of the word of God Hebrews 6:4-6 says, "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame."

I just had a “conversation” with a fellow who just hated the thought of OSAS. He believed that once you were saved, that a true believer physically nor mentally could not sin, that it was impossible. He accused me of the entire list in 1st Corinthians 6:9-10. I asked him when was the last time he told a lie, lusted for someone, stole something, was envious of someone, or hated a person for what they said or did? Because until Christ changes me from this wretched filthy rag that I am, I will always be tempted to do these things. And when I fail, I run to the cross, not to be “re-saved” nor especially to “re-crucify” Jesus for my sins, but to Thank Him knowing that He has already forgiven me and to give Him praise. Sadly, that fellow immediately blocked me from the conversation. It tares at my heart to think that anyone who believes they can loose their salvation must live in constant fear and anguish and don’t realize that they are denying what Christ did for them on the cross, but have to work in order to keep their salvation. How do I know that OSAS is true, because I use to love my sins, an now I absolutely hate them, especially if I ignore the Spirit and do them anyway. But because the Spirit of the Lord is doing a work in me, I sin less, even though I a not “sinless” in my flesh. As Paul describes, I am the murderer, chained to my victim’s corpse, having to carry it around until by God’s grace and mercy, I am set free from it and made anew in the flesh as I was made anew in the Spirit when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and was born again!
See Titus 2:11-14 [Paul says after grace God will redeem you from sin and purify you for good works very similar to Ephesians 2:8-10 Titus 2:11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Yet , not one passage states: "Whoever repents (turns from all sins till death/thus is sinlessly Perfect) and has Continuous faith (which requires sinless Perfection) and does the Work of Water Baptism shall deserve/earn/merit/be paid with/be rewarded with entrance into His Kingdom" . God gets all the glory when His Free Gift of Endless Life is received by childlike faith . Faith alone accords with Grace (merit free/unearned/undeserving) : ..."therefore it (eternal Justification before God) is by faith that it might be according to Grace that the Promise would be Certain" (Romans 4:16) . Seems difficult finding scholars online preaching the gospel that saves. Would you say depending on Jesus plus your own works for salvation disqualifies one for justification? One who relied on faith only at any point in his Christian life.
Great video Bob! I am OSAS! I have bounced into someone lately that is trying to drawn a distinction of 'hyper-grace' as being bad and that those folks are to be avoided but accepting of free grace. That issue is that hyper-gracers are lazy and that they sin like drunken sailors, and they will not have any rewards at the judgement seat of Christ Jesus. Do you have any thoughts on this or is the same old back loading of works heresy??
Those who fall away were never truly converted and had bad seed. Those who are truly saved have a faith that never fails or at least won’t give up. It’s like a force inside of you that keeps you forever going it seems like at least in my experience.
If you are motivated by fear to try to live a holy life in the flesh, it shows that you don’t recognize Pauline doctrine, that you have been made perfect in love. If you are saved, you are a new creature. 2 Corinthians 5:17 We are complete in him if we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Colossians 2:10, Ephesians 1:13-14, 1 John 4:18 (KJV) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Amen brother, the things they accuse us of wanting to do hasn’t crossed my mind to go sin it up and live like the devil, sure I fall short daily but it’s nothing like they say OSAS produces especially once we grow spiritually in Christ daily to the best of our ability Christ is the one who enables believers to live Godly separated lives it becomes natural and effortlessly unlike those who are constantly sin obsessed sin conscience instead of Christ conscience, letting Christ live in us and through us is the most freedom I’ve experienced in my life, the anxiety fear and bondage has been subsided not because of anything I’ve done but what God is doing in me and every individual through Christ.

We are justified by the blood of Jesus, not by our works. And our life is hidden with Christ, salvation cannot be lost. If anyone believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for their justification, they are saved and sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption.
I'm very adamant on this subject because of the rejection of the people in my life who said they love me and left and and never come back and I guess part of me was expecting the same thing of God but he would say that he loves me but that someday he would leave I would do something stupid and he would turn his back away from me or I would live stubbornly and he would give up on me and throw me away which would go to show my ignorance but that's what basically people are saying and to say that I can lose my salvation is losing freedom because it could be any time that I can make a mistake I grew up mostly in my life pushing myself on people because I was scared that they would reject me I don't have to be with like that with my God
The main point is that we are saved through FAITH. If we are in faith in Christ we're secure. If we allow ourselves to be hardened by sin or deceived by false teachings we can become disqualified if we no longer put our faith in Christ. Hence all the warnings in scripture to persevere through all the temptations, persecution, and struggles we may face. I've known faithful people who having gone through trials and challenges did not keep their eyes on Christ and close to the body of Christ. They now reject Christ and have embraced false teachings. They are not osas. They no longer even want to be saved by Christ. They were genuinely once saved but didn't guard their hearts and heed the scriptural warnings.

Never base your Bible doctrine on human experience if that human experience contradicts what the Bible plainly states. There is not so much as a word or statement in the Bible that teaches a truly born-again child of God can either lose their salvation or walk away from being a child of God. I am well aware of the very few places that seem on the surface to teach you can "fall away" from grace. Every single statement in the New Testament that appears to teach a truly saved person can become unsaved is taken out of context. Not one of them is interpreted correctly by those who teach you can lose your salvation. You can backside as God's child and God as your Father will chasten you but a true believer cannot become an unbeliever. It is literally impossible.
Bob, I suppose Dr. Michael Brown got light on Eternal Security by Christ only. For I have a video of him earlier stating he believes you can "step out." I hope he allowed the Spirit to confirm in him his eternal security in, through and by Christ only.
John 3:5-7 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” Once born always born, once born again, always born again. The issue is knowing the difference between relationship and kinship. Once you are born you will always be your mothers child. No matter what kind of relationship you have with her. Once you are born into the family of God (born again) you are always His child regardless of what kind of relationship you have with Him. Relationship does not change kinship.
When you trust Jesus as your Savior you become "born again" or born spiritually. God at that point and forevermore becomes your heavenly Father and you are His redeemed child born into His family by faith. This is something that is eternal and can never under any circumstances be undone. How we live after this point does matter, but it can never undo what God has done for us through Jesus Christ.
Another example. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 5:15-18 “But not as the offence, so also is the FREE GIFT. For if through the offence of one (Adam) many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the GIFT BY GRACE, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the GIFT: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the FREE GIFT is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the FREE GIFT came upon all men unto justification of life.” A gift by its very definition is given unconditionally, free, without obligation. A gift is given without revocation or it wouldn’t be a gift. If it can be revoked then it really wasn’t mine to begin with. The only thing you have to do with a gift is accept it or reject it.
I know people who went preaching and were once very passionate about Jesus, now the last thing they want to do is talk about Jesus, they weren't sure about their faith due to the deceitfulness of sin. Will this kind of people be saved if they continue on that path?

"The Grace New Testament Commentary" (Revised Edition) with Bob Wilkin (editor) faithalone.org/shop/books/grace-new-testament-commentary-revised-edition/
Notice nothing can snatch us out of God’s hand. That implies EXTERNAL. The same goes for Romans 8:38-39. However we know based on many scriptures that sin always separates us from God and that could begin WITHIN ourselves if we allow it. We have a free will to choose everyday if we will serve sin and jump out of God’s hand or serve Jesus and remain in His love. Genesis 4:7, Romans 6:16, Hebrews 5:9 God’s grace teaches us to deny all ungodliness and to walk just as Jesus walked. Titus 2:11-15 This is salvation! We are saved not by our own works outside of Christ, but by grace through FAITHFULNESS to Christ! To be DOERS of the WORKS in Christ. Faith WORKS by love (Galatians 5:6). Love does no willful sin (Romans 13:8-10) Roman 2:6-11
John 3:16 & Ephesians 2:8-9 render all attempts to deserve Kingdom entrance impossible , as does every conceivable Evangelistic/Everlasting Life/Justification before God passage in Scripture . The imputation of His perfect righteousness (Romans 4:1-8) is contingent upon belief in Him , not one's perseverance in Performance (works) till death . Being born again with irrevocable Everlasting Life is His Objective Promise, and the only instrument that accords with the free Gift is faith : ..."therefore it (eternal Justification before God) is by faith that it might be according to Grace that the Promise would be certain " (Romans 4:16) . His perfect work of Redemption Finished all the work necessary for the free Gift of Everlasting Life to be made available to "anyone who is thirsty " (John 4:10-14) . One sip of the Water of Life forever quenches the thirst for eternity . Little children can easily understand and believe in Him for His doubtless Guarantee (John 3:16 & Ephesians 2:8-9) instantly being born again with never ending Life at that moment . Because He cannot lie to the little ones .
I recommend watching the entire original documentary to understand fully what they mean and explain how “once saved always saved” isn’t biblical, not just the introduction. I once believed in OSAS. I was a new believer that didn’t fully understand walking with the Lord yet. The term itself is flawed. Indeed we are secure in Christ, but people truly do walk away from the faith. God lets us freely choose to receive God’s free gift of salvation or not. We see the Holy Spirit leave people in the Bible. Think of King Saul. People claim Christ but they continue to live sinful unrepentant lives believing they are saved because they were once saved so always saved. Rather than telling people they are OSAS because it could be dangerous to their walk, we should be teaching them there is eternal salvation in Christ, salvation is a gift of grace through faith, and that Jesus told us to abide in Him and He would abide in us.
Permanent indwelling of the Spirit is a Church Era distinctive . A Different dispensation doesn't mean that David or the Patriarchs were unregenerate . Abraham , David and the OT saints were clearly born again with Endless Life (Romans 4:1-8) , thus Eternally Justified before God. "Abraham saw my day , and was glad". Never were they imputed with His PERFECT righteousness by anything they performed (works) . Only/always by faith in the Christ for His doubtless Guarantee of Everlasting Life .That has always been true . The Pre-incarnte Christ appeared to the OT saints repeatedly . Adam walked with Him in the Garden . Job anticipated His Kingdom . Jesus explained in detail to the disciples - after His resurrection - that the Scriptures were all about Him . Not one passage in Scripture states the following : "Whosoever repents (turns from all sins till death/perseverance till death in an unknowable level (%) of hopefully good enough behaviors/works) shall be rewarded with entrance into His Kingdom". That is precisely what those advancing the Temporary/Probationary/Conditional "security" (Arminian) view really are saying . One cannot actually perform that , objectively . Further , it clearly contradicts Ephesians 2:8-9 ; Romans 3:20-5:11,11:6,29 ; Titus 3:5 ; Phillipians 3:9 ; and the book of Galatians . Not once does the Bible condition being born again with irrevocable Everlasting Life on one's perseverance till death in a never knowable nor quantifiable level of behaviors/faithfulness . Nor , is there one passage affirming the following : "Whosoever that doesn't repent (turn from all sins till death/perseveres till death in hopefully good enough behaviors/works) is eternally condemned and goes to the endless lake of fire". Only simple childlike faith in Him for what He actually certifies regenerates : John 1:12-13,3:1-18,4:10-14,5:24,6:28-47,10,11:23-27,20:31 ; Acts 16:31 ; 1 John 5:1,10-13 ; 1 Timothy 1:16 ; Galatians 2:16 ,3:26 .
If it's not permanent, then no one could ever be "saved". They can only be temporarily (conditionally) safe. Personally, I cannot find a way around the nearly 200 verses in the NT that proclaim salvation is by faith alone. "Once saved always saved" is not just a doctrine, it's the only conclusion I can reach after reading the scripture.
I mean some of these people in the beginning of the video can you imagine telling someone that who has been rejected by the world who's been hurt by people that God will reject you if you mess up if you turn your back on him he will take back the precious gift to give you of eternal life this doesn't sound like the God that I serve the God that I serve is not a man that he should lie nor the son of man that he should change his mind if he said he will do it he will do it and he is the one that is going to change us not ourselves he does the work
Psalm 103:1-14 NKJV - A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The LORD executes righteousness And justice for all who are oppressed. He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the children of Israel. The LORD is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father pities his children, So the LORD pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.
Please answer this question. You who are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, know the Gospel, and are born-again Christian who did everything that needed to be saved do not sin but let's say by any chance you backslide and commit a willful sin and die without repenting of your sin. Will God still let you enter into His kingdom or will he throw you into hell fire? In other words, are you still saved even if you sin and die without repentance?
Once Saved Always Saved" (Eternal Security): Is It True? - Bob Wilkin ruclips.net/video/UCstAS1QKMk/видео.html Is "Once Saved Always Saved" (Eternal Security) True? Does the Bible Jesus teach "Once Saved Always Saved" (Eternal Security) Bob Wilkin of the Grace Evangelical Society demonstrates from the Bible why "Once Saved Always Saved" (Eternal Security) is true, since we have Jesus' word on it and Jesus never lies.
I'm a little confused about what Bob Wilkin's position is. There are two different ways to look at eternal security. One of the Calvinist position. If someone falls away from the faith they were never really saved to begin with, because salvation is ultimately a transforming work of God's grace in your heart. The other is a "free grace" position, or easy believism" or antinomianism, that says that because salvation is a free gift of God's grace it comes with no strings attached. You use your own free-will to accept the free offer of salvation, and you are still saved even if you fall into grave since and renounce the faith altogether. So which one is Bob Wilkin's position?

@@GESvids I really like Zane Hodges' Greek New Testament, but I think his theology is terrible. He assumes that when John 3:16 says "whoseover believes," that it is talking about something that could happen only for a fleeting second. But if you are saved by faith, and you no longer have faith, then you are no longer saved. The problem here is trying to combine eternal security with free will.
@@robertwheeler1158 The free Gift of Everlasting Life has no expiration date attached to its longevity . Jesus didn't lie when He guaranteed its endlessness (John 1:12-13,3:1-18,4:10-14,5:24,6:28-47,10,11:23-27) . John 4:10-14 exactly describes the one sip of the Water of Life that forever quenches the thirst for eternity . Not being super glued to a Firehouse till death . There's not a single passage in Scripture that affirms a loss of a Never Ending Gift that is called "eternal" or "Everlasting" . "If we (speaking of those invested with Everlasting Life) are faithless , yet He abideth faithful , for He cannot deny Himself" (2 Timothy 2:13) . His free Gift is irrevocable (Romans 11:29) . Justification before God is never ending : Romans 4:1-8 . The only Object and Content of one's faith whereby one is irreversibly born again is uniformly found in every conceivable Evangelistic/Everlasting Life/Justification before God passage in the Bible : the Giver of the Forever Gift .
If you are saved, the moment you believe in Christ, and then that person doesn't believe in OSAS. Wouldn't they still be saved as they were sealed the moment they believed?? The thing that would be ongoing for them is that they would have ongoing anxiety, not knowing if they are saved or doing enough to be saved. I do think that not knowing you are saved and believing you have to live a perfect life and or do your utmost to not sin, turns many away from Christ as the standard is too high for them or anyone to meet really. I think thats why many non-christians believe many religious people are hypocrites, as Im sure they have seen many Christians not living a sin free life. Ephesians 2:8-9 and john 3:16 are so important 👍
I saw “Good Fight Ministries” put this out this morning. Honestly, my flesh wants to take a “good fight” to them. They are so double tongued and their abuse of scripture is disgusting. Also, the fact they named their church “Blessed Hope” when they believe in post tribulation theology says a lot about their character.
Those who unrepentantly claim God doesn't know the definition of ETERNAL life because eternal is temporary will pay the price for blasphemy-he'll is really real with no get out of jail free card.
Those who deny Eternal Security do so out of a conscious or sub conscious spirit of self righteousness, perhaps disgusted with the sins and faults of their brethren.
What do believers in OSAS say of Ananias and Sapphira? Dying unforgiven, they cannot be saved; being believers, they are a warning to us that deliberate sin in a believer is unforgiveable: they illustrate what Hebrews 10v26ff teaches. We know their sin was high-handed (deliberate) because they agreed on their lie.
@@grizz4489 Amen Grizz. He did all the Work Necessary that His Gift can be Free (John 3:16 & Ephesians 2:8-9 . Otherwise , none would make it into His Kingdom .
I believe in OSAS, i believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again the third day.. but i sin everyday and i have difficulty to stop, my flesh is addicted and i pray everyday for God to take me by the hand and help me, it make me depress that i cant stop this addiction for him, i hope he is not to angry.. please pray for me.
God is not pointing His finger at you saying “you sinned and I’m going to punish you with hellfire.” No, God gave us His Son and in Him we are made free. God wishes for NO ONE to perish, but for ALL to come to repentance (a turning from unbelief to belief in Christ).
What's the point of these "Scholars" ? Yeah dude ... motivation comes from never knowing where you're going till you hit tthe Finish Line (death) ? Kinda like trying to find One Ended Sticks in your backyard...? Um... ain't never gonna happen...
Arminians point to their works to maintain salvation, Calvinists point to works to prove salvation. Free Grace points to Jesus and his promises for assurance of salvation.
Saints, respect "scholars", but beware also. Remember there were Pharisees, scribes, Dr's of the law, Sadducees also. Those that are ETERNALLY SECURE IN CHRIST ONLY, HAVE THE TEACHER, THE SPIRIT. And He brings home the truth of security forever in Christ. Those like poor Dr. Oswald have no comfort by the Spirit.
OSAS is great news. Have believed it all my life. In the last 6 years or so I have come into a much more intimate relationship with Father, Son, and Spirit and have come to believe that eventually, all we confess Jesus Christ as Lord to the glory of the Father, and spend eternity in fellowship with God. OSAS is great but dims in the light of Trinitarian inclusion theology. This, by the way, was apparently the majority position of the church for the first several centuries.

So much for "My yoke is easy, My burden is light", I haven't heard that mentioned. After watching that documentary 4 days ago, I was more frustrated and confused even more. GEE!!, who is the author of confusion? Come on!!. Theres people out there saying Jesus did not pay for it all on the cross. That's serious blasphemy and as far as I'm concerned is unbelief in Jesus. JESUS DIED IN VAIN, I'm definitely not saying to live in purposeful sin, no, on the contrary. When you believe the true gospel, you are transformed, you DESIRE GOD AND JESUS MUCH MORE, and you have conviction by the HOLY SPIRIT to try and live righteously on a daily basis the rest of your life. You want to GLORIFY GOD. None of US are perfect, WE ALL SIN and fall short. Just look at America right now, hhmm. We are in serious trouble. GODS JUDGMENT IS ON THIS LAND!!!, DONT TELL ME ITS NOT!!. thank you Brother for giving a wonderful explanation and remember GOD KNOWS OR HEARTS. HE knows who's SINCERE, and HE knows who's full of CRAP!!, YOU cannot fool the FATHER!!, HE already knows US. Be honest with HIM and yourself. Also, the same people who deny Christ are also saying not to read the Bible and to not rely on it. GEE!!, "MY PEOPLE DIE FOR LACK OF KNOWLEDGE "!!!
The one and only reason we have a chance to go to heaven by faith in Christ Jesus is that GOD IS GOOD! The Bible is about Jesus Christ… not about us! In all the Gospels we see that one leap of faith resulted in the Lord telling those people, your faith has SAVED you and yes obviously, go and sin no more. But he said saved you.. not is about to save you, keep it up! Sirs, what must I do to be saved? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved and the house… period! Not, keep on believing until the day you die… Those people can’t believe that GOD really said that! First lie in the book… God bless, Maranatha brethren
Ephesians 6:10-17
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Fight the good fight of faith if you get knocked down confess the sin and ask for forgiveness.
Amen brother! We are eternally secure in Christ Jesus! Saved and sealed at the very moment of true belief in the gospel.

Excellent. We who have the indwelling Holy Spirit as a result of salvation are daily motivated to live for Christ. Many years ago, I co-wrote a song "All of My Heart", to which I later added a bridge:
No greater love
Your grace beyond measure
Atoning for sin alone on the tree
How else to respond
To such mercy and favor
Than to give You the life
You've given to me
This is followed by verse 2:
For I have received life eternal
Saved by Your grace I live forever
Surrounded by love I know that You are there
Free of my sin I'm free to serve You
Free to begin a life to please You
All of my days I'm ever in Your care
There is no earthly expression of how freeing it is to know our eternal life is truly eternal, from this moment onward.

Sure..Every osas, or grace only believer call unbelievers sinners..
I have stop calling anyone sinner after God open my eyes on the matter of law..
And that is ,if I call anyone sinner,I acctually judging according the law,bc only by the law come knowledge of sin ..
And 2nd cor 5 show that even God not imputing Worlds transgressions
Um.. pretty sure Reformed Calvinists are OSAS. The alternative would be a complete contradiction to their doctrine.

Q
When I stopped worrying about being unacceptable I started learning who I was in Christ and my behavior started changing to reflect that.
Amen, praise the LORD ❤️
Amen!
@@randyd9805Thanks for sharing, became born again 29 years ago and went through the same as you ,so many false churches and social media false doctrines, a good study of the gospel of John takes away anxiety, even studying the words anxiety and anxious in a concordance you realise through lack of knowledge, prayer, studying God's word christains do suffer from anxiety, also through disobedience we need to discern between the conviction of the Holy Spirit and the condemnation from satan for he comes to steal and kill and destroy but the reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devils work. Glory to God.
@@randyd9805I wish I could believe this doctrine but my understanding of the word of God tells me different and after being in a congregation that believes the opposite for 20 years, it’s hard to believe the complete 180. Dear Bob, true brother,
"He that has My word, let him speak it faithfully." Its not in vain, and whats more is that, the joy of the Spirit eminates as you do!
It is so refreshing, and a cause to praise our God for "so great a salvation."

There is no greater love then for a man to lay down his life for his fellow mam
I also see the joy of the Lord in his face.

Believe I feel the same and can definitely relate to you I also attended a church for years like this until I couldn't go anymore

I have dealt with these people all my life, the people who believe they can lose eternal life. When you press them, it comes down to good works, that keep them saved.
Is striving to live in obedience to Jesus doing works?
You're simple ignorant of the word of God
Hebrews 6:4-6 says,
"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame."

Repentance (turning from all sins till death) and walking in Perfect behavioral performance (works) aren't the means of being born again with irreversible Everlasting Life .
Can't lose an Everlasting Gift , once one is forever Justified before God by faith in Him for what He actually Certifies: Romans 4:1-16 ; John 5:24,6:47, 10,11:23-27 ; 1 Timothy 1:16 .
It's clearly contradictory to Scripture :
Ephesians 2:8-9 ; Romans 3:20-5:11,11:6,29 ; Titus 3:5 ; Philippians 3:9 ; book of Galatians .
Hebrews 6 actually proves that those who were going back ("falling away from grace") to works righteousness in denying the full Propitiation of His one time sacrifice, were in effect putting Him back on the Cross .
He Finished all the work of Redemption that His Promise would be Certain to all who simply believe in Him (Romans 4:16) . Eternal Justification before God is completely apart from all behavioral performance (works) : Romans 4:1-8 .
Repentance is works , not faith .

Ephesians 2:8-9 directly contradicts your works righteousness soteriology .
..."not of WORKS , lest anyone should boast" (Romans 4:1-8 directly refutes all such attempts) .
All who look to their Perseverance in Performance to deserve/earn/merit/be paid with/be rewarded with entrance into His Kingdom indeed have something to"boast about" .
Written to the already born again with irrevocable Life/eternally Justified before God brethren . Nowhere in this Text does Paul threaten hell to those who don't measure up to a never knowable level of behavioral performance .
You've got the Cart & Horse in Tragic misalignment .
Grace Deniers/Doubt Promoters cannot make sense because their affirmation is nowhere found in the Text , clearly twisting the context to make it "seem" that one's Everlasting destination is contingent upon one's Perseverance until death in a never known level of works , coupled with a CONTINUAL "faith" (in arbitrarily selected attributes/DBR) ; in addition to the work of Water Baptism . Yet , not one passage states:
"Whoever repents (turns from all sins till death/thus is sinlessly Perfect) and has Continuous faith (which requires sinless Perfection) and does the Work of Water Baptism shall deserve/earn/merit/be paid with/be rewarded with entrance into His Kingdom" .
That is precisely what your affirmation reduces to . Completely absent in the Bible .
Unbelief in Him for His doubtless Guarantee of irreversible Everlasting Life (John 1:12-13,3:1-18,4:10-14,5:24,6:28-47,11:23-27,20:31 ; Acts 16:31 ; Galatians 2:16,3:26 ; 1 Timothy 1:16 ; 1 John 5:1,10-13) , always involves taking credit for one's Performance , versus resting in His Finished Work of Redemption .
God gets all the glory when His Free Gift of Endless Life is received by childlike faith . Faith alone accords with Grace (merit free/unearned/undeserving) :
..."therefore it (eternal Justification before God) is by faith that it might be according to Grace that the Promise would be Certain" (Romans 4:16) .
No mention of Perfect Perseverance till death in your 3 NECESSARY CONDITIONS .
Certainty is faith . Doubt is unbelief . Repentance is works . Not faith . Only belief secures the forever Free Gift . Gotta be born again with His imputed Righteousness to enter .
All Filthy Rags attempts are futile .

Colossians 2:10, Ephesians 1:13-14,

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

What about those who say they just don't believe anymore? Those who can be taken off the vine and those that can return?

For I have a video of him earlier stating he believes you can "step out."
I hope he allowed the Spirit to confirm in him his eternal security in, through and by Christ only.

Genesis 4:7, Romans 6:16, Hebrews 5:9
God’s grace teaches us to deny all ungodliness and to walk just as Jesus walked. Titus 2:11-15 This is salvation! We are saved not by our own works outside of Christ, but by grace through FAITHFULNESS to Christ! To be DOERS of the WORKS in Christ. Faith WORKS by love (Galatians 5:6). Love does no willful sin (Romans 13:8-10)
Roman 2:6-11
John 3:16 & Ephesians 2:8-9 render all attempts to deserve Kingdom entrance impossible , as does every conceivable Evangelistic/Everlasting Life/Justification before God passage in Scripture .
The imputation of His perfect righteousness (Romans 4:1-8) is contingent upon belief in Him , not one's perseverance in Performance (works) till death .
Being born again with irrevocable Everlasting Life is His Objective Promise, and the only instrument that accords with the free Gift is faith :
..."therefore it (eternal Justification before God) is by faith that it might be according to Grace that the Promise would be certain " (Romans 4:16) .
Not one passage in Scripture states the following :
"Whosoever repents (turns from all sins till death/perseverance till death in an unknowable level (%) of hopefully good enough behaviors/works) shall be rewarded with entrance into His Kingdom".
Nor , is there one passage affirming the following :
"Whosoever that doesn't repent (turn from all sins till death/perseveres till death in hopefully good enough behaviors/works) is eternally condemned and goes to the endless lake of fire".
Only simple childlike faith in Him for what He actually certifies regenerates :

Never ending everlasting eternal OSAS
If it's not permanent, then no one could ever be "saved". They can only be temporarily (conditionally) safe. Personally, I cannot find a way around the nearly 200 verses in the NT that proclaim salvation is by faith alone. "Once saved always saved" is not just a doctrine, it's the only conclusion I can reach after reading the scripture.
I thought you were debunking it 😂 you got me.
correct eschatology also gives the truly Elect added Joy in their eternal Blessed Hope
@watchman blows the horn
Bless the LORD, O my soul;
And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The LORD executes righteousness
And justice for all who are oppressed. He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the children of Israel. The LORD is merciful and gracious,
Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. He will not always strive with us,
Nor will He keep His anger forever. He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor punished us according to our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us. As a father pities his children,
So the LORD pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame;
He remembers that we are dust.
- Bob Wilkin
ruclips.net/video/UCstAS1QKMk/видео.html
Is "Once Saved Always Saved" (Eternal Security) True?

The free Gift of Everlasting Life has no expiration date attached to its longevity .
I kinda believed in lordship salvation but, when I thought about it always ended up being a matter of preformance.
Funny how pastor Joel says its hypocritical to believe OSAS, but doesn't realize that he is the true hypocrite.
If unbelief is a sin and you have to turn from it … technically you have to turn from the sin of unbelief to be saved….
God's Word > Bible "Scholars"
The Pharisees were scholars, and they were unsaved.
Those who unrepentantly claim God doesn't know the definition of ETERNAL life because eternal is temporary will pay the price for blasphemy-he'll is really real with no get out of jail free card.
Jesus Christ died once for your sins so get saved once and for all! Believe and trust in Jesus Christ Blood for your salvation ❤

How Do I Know I Am Saved? - Bob Wilkin
ruclips.net/video/HA2vG_r2bgg/видео.html
God is not pointing His finger at you saying “you sinned and I’m going to punish you with hellfire.” No, God gave us His Son and in Him we are made free. God wishes for NO ONE to perish, but for ALL to come to repentance (a turning from unbelief to belief in Christ).
What's the point of these "Scholars" ? Yeah dude ... motivation comes from never knowing where you're going till you hit tthe Finish Line (death) ?
Kinda like trying to find One Ended Sticks in your backyard...?
Um... ain't never gonna happen...
Is Bob Wilkin a Calvinist? I am genuinely wondering because I don’t know and am curious, thanks for answering.

No. He supports Free Grace.
We are still waiting to hear from James White if he has assurance of salvation even a decade later. TFW you don't know if you will be saved.
WAIT, you’re saying that (as a FGer) If i don’t believe in OSAS, I’ll go to hell?!
"Does a Person Have to Believe in Eternal Security to be Saved?" - Bob Wilkin & Philippe Sterling

Does one have to believe in eternal security to be saved? Does one need to know the theological term eternal security or the concept of eternal security in order to be saved? What does everlasting life mean? Bob Wilkin of the Grace Evangelical Society and Philippe Sterling of Vista Ridge Bible Fellowship answer these questions by looking at what does the Bible say and what did Jesus teach, that we must believe in order to be saved.
"Eternal Security, Do You Have to Believe It?" - Bob Bryant

In this talk from the 2006 Grace Evangelical Society National Conference, Bob Bryant of Cypress Valley Bible Church answers the question, whether a person needs to believe in eternal security to be saved?
Plot twist: you must be saved at first to be always saved
Not, keep on believing until the day you die…
Those people can’t believe that GOD really said that! First lie in the book…
God bless, Maranatha brethren
