My god that O Scale cab forward sounds amazing. Oh and the backdrop is awesome.
Hi Ben, your backdrop looks fabulous as do your locus and stock👍
Ben, love the backdrop. Your layout is so unique and pretty wonderful.
I can identify with this. I live in apartments so I can't have anything permanent. I too had floor layouts but with a back injury I now put em up on saw horses. I also have 4 radio controlled planes and a rc truck.
Yeah...glue? Push pins all day!
Black Love! I like how you do things your way and dont just do status quo train layout!
Yes sir it looks 👍🏾 Greart
All hail the floor layout!!!💪🏽 I run similarly and to entertain throughout multiple spaces.
Really smart and tasteful. I’ve wanted to add a backdrop for years but knew I could never get it glued in place just right. What a simple idea to just tack it up and let it hang smoothly without it being a permanent commitment. Great ideas. I’m tuned in for more. Thanks!
Dude you sold me on the backdrop, I was trying to figure out how to do that wall in my basement and you solved it for me,awesome,it looks great!
@@rickandcrystalshow I’m so happy to hear that! Thanks for watching!
Great addition! Very nice.
I'd love to see a layout tour!!!
Little late to the party but the back drop looks incredible. I have used back drops and did the same thing you did. Just used push pins. Best way to do it imo. Good luck Ben.
It's definitely a unique concept, and I definitely understand your issue with not wanting to take up all your floorspace for a layout.
I'm found something a bit more unconventional myself, in that I'm planning a modular layout, that runs both H. O. Scale and N scale, with the larger being on the forward edge of the layout nearest view, with all the fine details, and switching operations, etc. And then the N scale, will be farthest back, and elevated on a cliff about 12" where it can be free to run longer trains, and looks like a two track main line.
I chose Eastern Arizona and Western New Mexico as those mesas and buttes kinda divide up the scenery, yet leave plenty of wide open area for viewing those long trains on the N scale.
I like your construction ideas too, as to the backdrops. I ruined one trying to permanently glue it to a plywood backboard.
Great work, Ben.
Best cab forward I've seen yet.👍
Great backdrop, I'm with you, I wouldn't glue that to the wall either.
I love how you think outside of the box when it comes to conventional layouts.
im not even into trains but dudes love for them and this video was very entertaining..
Simple, unique, love it
Hola buenas noche excelente video😃👏👏👏👍
Backdrop looks great. Nice Train Room
Oh yeah, makes it POP.
The backdrop looks great!
love the idea of clear thumbtacks. Doing my final room room which will be 2 level. As you can see in my videos will use your idea on the other rooms that have finished set. Thanks for the idea.
This layout is so cool! Its cool because its not completely on the floor but its not like the trains took over the room 😂 thats awesome man! 😃💯👍 If you haven't already could you do a layout tour?!?
That looks really nice. I like the thumb tack idea.
KILLIN it! That looks so good!!
Yes it looks great.
I wish I could do a floor a floor layout. Looks very nice and well planned.
How about a layout tour? Grest.Videos 😊 Ben!
Love the floor idea.
Thank you!
Looks Awesome
Made a world of difference, looks good brother
The backdrop does make a difference. Really interested in how you did your floor layout. That’s a good idea
Very cool stuff! I just came across your channel today, and love the content and what you are doing with your layout! I've never seen or even considered a floor-based layout with scenery like you are doing. Since I've just started dipping my toes into O gauge (I've primarily done HO and N scale and lately some Z scale), this idea intrigues me. I plan to build a small 24"x80" door-sized switching layout in O scale later this year, but the idea of making a bunch of sceniced modules I could assemble on the floor for a time and then store away has me very interested since I have no available space for a permanent O gauge layout (at least not for several more years).
Great videos. Backdrop looks good.
makes a big difference. great job
